Chapter 41 - Searching For A Cure

I got all the intel on the war so now I had to get the Jade Mist Sect on our side. At least I could do something for the sake of my sect. I travelled to the Jade Mist Sect to go persuade Ma-wushi to be on our side in the war. I got to his royal court and sent a messenger to tell him that the Lord of the Blue Moon Sect would like to have a meeting with him. I got permission to enter and went to his throne room. Mu-shibai sat on his throne and immediately he saw me, he stood up in shock.

"No bloody way, I'm I seeing a ghost right now?" Ma-wushi asked.

"Nope, it's me," I replied.

I explained to Ma-wushi the whole thing and he was able to believe except from the part that I fought with those six lords from the main land, I wonder why.

"So you are here to make me part of your alliance if I am correct?" Ma-wushi said.

"Yes, but not only that. I need you to protect everyone when the war starts," I replied with a serious look.

Ma-wushi asked me why I said such a thing then I explained that I was leaving. I told him about the Lightning Dragon Seal. Ma-wushi had a terrified look on his face when I mentioned the seal and said he would help with all he had. Mu-wushi isn't a strong cultivator but is a very impressive artifact craftsman. He was so good that a god took him to the upper realm as a student and he became the Lord of the Jade-mist sect at thirteen and was able to make it the highest economy in the Tianxu due to their awesome artifacts.

"I wish I could give you intel on where to find a medical master but all you should ask Mu-shibai, he knows everything. And also, take this artifact with you, it will prevent the seal shock for sometime," he said as he took off a ring and tossed it towards me.

"Thank you, you won't regret it!" I said as I put on the ring and turned to take my leave.

As I was about to leave, Ma-wushi stopped me and asked, "The six lords you fought, did they all use blades?"

I then answered, "Yeah, it still hurts to think about how they easily killed me. At the end, I was able to kill just one."

He then nodded his head and then I left. I wonder why he wanted to know about my fight with those six bastard.

***** Ma-Wushi's Thoughts *****

Don't tell me he actually fought against the six sword lords and even killed one of them. Not to mention that he was dead a month ago. This sounds impossible... I've never seen something so interesting.

Now that Ma-wushi is by our side, I can go get intel from Mu-shibai for a "cure." I can't believe I was sealed with such an advanced technique that only a few can cure. I didn't even expect the sect's doctor to detect the seal and even find a herb to allow me walk partially. Even as I am thankful that I can walk, limping is still so annoying. I have to find that cure and go enjoy the rest of my life... Will I be able to do that during the war?

I got to the Dark Fog Forest Sect and it was getting dark. I had to get into the royal court without anyone noticing since I was now hiding my identity. Wow, it was shockingly easy to sneak into the royal court. I thought Mu-shibai could do better, or maybe I am just too awesome. As I walked forward, a troop of about twenty cultivators surrounded me with their swords on my neck. If I should move an inch, a blade would be able to land an injury on my neck. I heard footsteps approaching and saw Mu-shibai looking at me with that familiar annoying smile.

"What a wonderful surprise, it's such an honour to have a walking corpse moving around my court at this hour. You know if I was someone else, it would look like a spooky story," Mu-shibai said playfully.

I expected him to be a little bit more shocked than this. I asked him how he was not surprised to see me alive, then he just said, "Shouldn't you be getting used to dying by now?"

What a bastard! His guards put down their swords and then he guided me into his court.

"It's late, have a meal and get to bed," Mu-shibai said.

"Oh, I think I'll pass the meal," I said trying my best not to sound rude.

"So handsome," a voice said behind me.

I looked behind me and saw a lady staring at me as if she saw a ghost. *Am I that hideous? (No, just dumb).* Immediately she spotted me looking at her, her face became red then she left without another word. *I really look that ugly?* I asked Mu-shibai who the lady was and he just said it was his sister and shouldn't mind her.

Mu-shibai organised a place for me to stay in his court but there was something off. It was as if he gave me special treatments. This place felt too fancy. I was on the second floor and could see a clear view of the court's garden. Who the heck decorates their gardens with expensive torches? I gazed through the garden from up high and it was pretty cool. I looked right of the garden and saw an artificial hot spring, with his sister taking a bath in it... Wait... did I just see his sister taking a bath, like... without clothes... as in... naked!!

I turned around not to look. *Remember, to always be a gentleman; those kind of thoughts are weird and would never happen anyway.* I better leave before I get spotted, if I do, Mu-shibai will beat the hell out of me... Wait... Why does it feel as if Mu-shibai planned all of this? No, no way that is possible.

I was about to leave when... *sniff sniff*... What is that smell? I know that smell. There is a Lava Snake around here, but they are only found in sects located in mountains, like the Mystic Mountain Sect. So Mu-shibai did set me up with his sister, how could he do such a thing so quickly? I looked down to find the snake but I couldn't, so I tried tracking the yin energy in the snake... Aha, I found it! It was headed towards the spring.

I have to kill it... but if I go there, it would be invasion of nuclear privacy... but if I don't, she could die... but I can't jump from this high with my legs in this condition... but... Aaah!

I turned off my mind and just jumped. I fell down flat but I didn't have time to think of the pain. The snake was so close to the spring, so I crawled as fast as I could to reach it. I jumped towards it and grabbed it.

She screamed and submerged herself into the water leaving only her head exposed to prevent me from seeing anything. *Why the heck would I care about your body in this kind of situation?* The snake tried to bite me, so I used my left hand to hold its mouth together and my right hand to grab its tail. The scales of the snake became hotter and hotter and it was about to spit lava. I looked at Mu-shibai's sister and asked her if she could make some space for me. She didn't understand and I didn't have time to explain. I jumped into the spring with the snake.

His sister immediately ran out of the spring and wore a bath robe. I held the snake under the water waiting for it to drown, but it was as if I would drown before the snake. The snake finally drowned, then I slowly crawled out of the spring, laid down trying to catch my breath.

"Are you okay?" His sister said as she knelt down close to where I was lying down.

I just looked at her and looked away... "Your robe is all wet and, you know... showing," I said as I looked away.

She got shy and turned around. She shouted at me not to look, but I told her that I was never looking...

"Why... why aren't you hard or something? Aren't you a man, or are you castrated?" she asked with a weird look on her face.

*The heck did she just say?!* I sat up and asked, "Hey, should you be talking about such a thing after a situation like this?!"

"What the heck is going on?" Mu-shibai said, trying to hide a smile as he came in with some maids to the garden.

That bastard...
