Chapter 24 - undefined

Two days had passed since Suko and Kaneki were born.

Suko was bored. Being a baby irritated him. He couldn't move freely, couldn't speak properly, and everything around him felt slow. Inside his mind he muttered:

"I wish I wasn't a baby."

The moment that thought formed…

Time shifted.

Not intentionally.

Not consciously.

But the flow of existence bent around him.

Seventeen years passed in an instant.

Now Suko stood in front of a large academy gate. Above the entrance was written:

Demon King Academy.

A high school for magic users.

Students were arriving from everywhere to register. Among them was Kaneki as well, heading to enroll. But neither of them remembered anything about their past.

Suko walked inside calmly and entered the principal's office.

The principal looked up from his desk.

"What's your name?"

"Suko."

The man nodded and wrote it down.

"Your last name?"

"I don't have one."

The principal paused, clearly surprised.

"…Alright."

Then he asked another question.

"How old are you?"

"Seventeen."

After a few minutes, the principal finished the paperwork and handed Suko a small card.

"Your class is 1-A."

Suko nodded and left the office.

When he entered the classroom, something unusual happened.

The entire room went quiet.

Everyone looked at him.

But it wasn't because of power.

It was because of his appearance.

Suko noticed the attention immediately, but he didn't care. Without saying anything, he walked to an empty seat and sat down.

Ten minutes later, the teacher entered the classroom holding a glowing sphere.

"Alright everyone," the teacher said. "When you touch this sphere, it will measure your magical power."

Students lined up one by one.

The sphere spoke each result out loud.

"100 Million."

Next student.

"20 Billion."

Another.

"100 Trillion."

Someone else.

"109 Googol."

The class reacted with excitement.

Then it was Suko's turn.

He walked forward calmly and placed his hand on the sphere.

For a moment nothing happened.

Then the sphere spoke.

"Unmeasurable… Unmeasurable."

The teacher frowned.

"Hm… strange. Maybe you don't have any magic power at all. Try using all your strength."

Suko thought about it for a moment.

Then he used 0.01% of his power.

The moment he did—

Somewhere far beyond the classroom…

Universes trembled.

Back in the room, the sphere spoke again.

"Undefined… Undefined."

Then the sphere disappeared.

Not shattered.

Not broken.

It simply ceased to exist.

Erased from reality.

The teacher scratched his head.

"Huh… weird. I guess you still don't have any magical power."

Suko didn't argue.

He simply returned to his seat.

The first lesson continued normally.

Later, during the second class, another teacher entered.

"Today we'll measure many abilities," the teacher announced.

"Your lifting strength, punching power, durability, speed, stamina, IQ, reflexes, reaction speed, jumping ability, targeting precision, defense capability, attack capability, strategic thinking, adaptation ability, energy control, sensory perception, willpower, flexibility, tactical ability, learning speed, multitasking ability, mental resistance, concentration, perception, maneuverability, universal awareness, complex problem solving, manipulation ability, regeneration, rapid healing, memory strength, consciousness level, mental processing speed, force transfer, tactical prediction…"

The list kept going.

Students took the tests one by one.

Finally, it was Suko's turn again.

He performed each test casually.

Without trying.

Without effort.

And every time he used even 0.01% of his power, the system returned the exact same result.

Over.

And over.

And over again.

"Undefined."
