Chapter 86 - Chapter 86: The White Tiger

Silas wasn't too concerned about the loss of one Shadowkhan; it was only a few Evil Points. At least he confirmed that the Shadowkhan Army could not touch Justice Magic.

"What a shame." Silas's plan for infinite Shadowkhan duplication was ruined. He just wasn't sure if there was any Darkness Magic related to duplication.

Silas reopened the book, followed the instructions, and placed the ingredients into the pot in proportion, stirring it with the ladle.

"This time it should work." Silas dipped the pufferfish in the magic potion, looked around, and aimed at the stool. "Evil out, evil out..." Silas chanted the spell, and the magic immediately struck the stool.

Bang! The stool quickly split into two, both identical. After a moment, the stool remained at a count of two. Silas realized he had succeeded.

"It worked! So, it was the ingredients, not the Old Man's Beard, that was wrong before." Silas blew on the pufferfish.

Silas then found the magic to cancel the duplication on the system shop and made it again according to the instructions.

Pew! Done!

After creating this magic, Silas immediately used it to restore the endlessly splitting cups that were in the Shadow Realm.

"Magic is quite interesting," Silas laughed. It was a pity that it required preparation in advance and chanting spells.

Silas opened the system shop and clicked on the Talisman Clue exchange. It was time for him to exchange for a new Talisman Clue. Thanks to the relentless efforts of the Shadowkhan Army, his Justice Points reached 3588, and his Evil Points reached 5689.

"Exchange for the Talisman Clue!" Silas silently commanded.

Silas felt as if he had arrived in a forest. The silent forest was suddenly interrupted by a roar! Awooo! A tiger roared!

Then, the sound of hurried running followed. Two white tigers appeared before Silas, poised to pounce on him. Silas raised his hand, and the moment his hand touched the white tigers, they slowly dissolved into specks of light, reforming into the shape of two white tigers facing each other, like a Yin and Yang symbol.

[The power of the Tiger is the balance of Yin and Yang]

"I know that." Silas wondered if this really counted as a clue. Wasn't it just a description of the ability?

[This mission is not for the Host to find the Tiger Talisman]

"Then what is it?" Silas asked, confused.

[Pursue Sasha the White Tiger. She has appeared somewhere on Earth]

"Sasha the White Tiger?" Silas found the name familiar. Where had he heard it before?

He didn't expect this mission to be about capturing a White Tiger directly. Silas took the Talisman Locator from the system. This task seemed quite interesting.

Soon, nine Shadowkhan appeared beside Silas. They were Silas's Talisman Squad. The squad leader reached out and accepted the Talisman Locator. Strictly speaking, this mission was harder than the previous two Talismans, which at least had a destination. The Tiger Talisman mission didn't even have a destination; they could only rely on the Talisman Locator to search everywhere.

At that moment, the dragon's eye on the Talisman Locator pointing East lit up!

The Shadowkhan all retreated into the Shadow Realm, reappeared on top of the Stark Tower, and stood at the highest point, looking down at New York. After confirming the direction, they leaped off, deployed their gliders, and began gliding forward, checking the direction on the locator from time to time.

"I hope they find her quickly," Silas said. The Earth is neither truly big nor small, and finding a single White Tiger on it would be quite difficult. Fortunately, he had the Talisman Locator, but it was a shame he only had one. Otherwise, Silas could have relied on the sheer numbers of the Shadowkhan to search for the White Tiger.

One Week Later

Misty finally came to school. Her classmates exclaimed at the sight of the scars on her face. Even with the tattoos covering them, the scars were still visible. Peter and Ned finally understood why Misty hadn't come to school these past few days—this was what had happened.

"What are you doing, Silas?" Misty seemed to have regained her confidence and asked with a smile.

Silas showed a faint smile. "Misty, I think you should always be this confident. You don't need to care about what others think."

"Thank you. As long as you don't mind me," Misty smiled faintly, stroking her scars. Silas's words were exactly the same as what her father, Hugh, had told her.

"Remember, Misty, don't mind what others think. Be confident and be yourself. You must remember, the people who love you most will never dislike you; they still love you." This was what her mother had told Misty, and it was the reason why Misty was able to regain her confidence and return to campus.

"Don't worry, I certainly won't." Silas added in his mind, You will get better, definitely.

Mr. Klein's Home

"Connors, what exactly happened to you?" Mr. Klein said in surprise, looking at Connors sitting across from him. Shortly after Mr. Klein returned home, Connors had actually called him and said he would be coming over. Mr. Klein was so scared that he grabbed his gun, fearing Connors had come to eat him, but he was surprised to find that Connors had transformed back to normal.

"It's complicated. I can't really explain it to you," Professor Connors said, shaking his head. He had the memory of his time as the Lizard, but he couldn't control himself. When he turned into the Lizard, he became extremely aggressive.

"Then why are you looking for me?" Mr. Klein had already roughly guessed Connors' intention: he probably wanted his formula notebook back.

Sure enough, Professor Connors said, "I remember leaving the formula notebook in your dorm room. You must have picked it up, right?"

Facing Professor Connors' gaze, Mr. Klein nodded. "Yes, it is indeed with me."

"You haven't tried experimenting, have you?" Professor Connors suddenly asked.

Mr. Klein quickly replied, "No, I haven't. After all, your fate..." He stopped speaking.

Professor Connors understood. He had turned into that monstrous form because he injected the lizard serum. How could Mr. Klein dare to try it?

"Can you give it back to me?" Connors' tone was somewhat low.

"Of course." Mr. Klein stood up, went to the bedroom, took the formula notebook out of the cabinet, and handed it back to Professor Connors.

Professor Connors took the notebook, flipped through it to confirm it was intact, and then stood up. "I'm leaving now."

"Wait!" Mr. Klein stopped him. "Connors, what exactly did you go through?"

"You don't need to worry about that." Connors opened the door, ready to leave, but seemed to remember something and suddenly stopped. Connors stroked his empty sleeve with one hand. "Klein, I don't know if you've attempted this experiment, but I have to tell you one thing: Never do it." With that, he left without looking back.

"I understand, but once the arrow is shot, there's no turning back. I can't go back now." Mr. Klein pulled up his sleeve, revealing the skin beneath. It was no longer human skin. His skin was covered in a hard, insect-like outer shell.
