Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 A Bite of the Evil God's Octopus Tentacles

The man trembled and stumbled back a step in fright, "No, no more..."

"That won't do." Li Mo approached the man step by step, her eyes getting closer and closer. "He just said my eyes are quite pretty too. If you don't want them, wouldn't that be negating what he said?"

The man stared blankly, somewhat taken aback, but a dense crowd of eyes had already gathered around him, staring intently.

"You have to gouge one out, or I'll gouge out your eye."

The man choked. Surrounded by countless tentacles, there was no way to escape. But he didn't have the courage to touch those eyes. Now, facing the constantly moving tentacles around him, he didn't even have the strength to grip the knife tightly.

The plan was just to ambush players from here! What is this thing in front of me?!

Could it be that some monster has betrayed the organization and gone to the players' side?!

The man, his face filled with despair, shakily raised the knife in his hand, ready to fight to the death. He truly didn't think that if he gouged out the eyes from the tentacle, the person in front of him would let him go.

Li Mo stared at the man with a smile, staring at his knife.

The scene was tense, with danger about to erupt. The next second, the door next to them suddenly opened, and Yin Xiu poked his head out. "I found my prop package, but it's in a pretty high place. Come in and get it for me."

"Okay." Li Mo nodded, preparing to finish the task quickly.

But Yin Xiu added quietly, "Don't kill him yet."

The man, who was holding a knife and waiting to die, suddenly realized something and looked at Yin Xiu. The fair face in front of him became sacred in his eyes in an instant!

The next second, Yin Xiu added, "I'll save it for later so I can test the knife."

"Okay." Li Mo nodded, grabbed the man with his tentacles, and dragged him into the room, tossing him into a corner.

The dazzling jewels adorning the man's body couldn't brighten his now dim eyes; he had encountered someone even stranger than a monster.

Yin Xiu's package containing the props was placed high on a pile of gems in the room.

Judging from the location of the gemstones in the room, these were originally furniture pieces, but the man's greed transformed them into even more jewels, layer upon layer, sparkling brilliantly, until the packages that Yin Xiu had originally placed on the cabinet were piled up to the ceiling.

Since Yin Xiu couldn't climb up the pile of jewels to get them, he asked Li Mo to try.

He stood aside, quietly watching Li Mo, wanting to see how this person could get his small package down. But Li Mo just smiled at him, and a chill swept past Yin Xiu. Suddenly, the package high on the ceiling rolled down and fell into Yin Xiu's arms.

Yin Xiu silently held the package, looked at where it had been, and then looked at Li Mo. This person hadn't done anything, hadn't even moved, and the package had just come down.

He casually opened the package, put Ya Ya's coins into his pocket, then tied the knife to his waist and hung it up before looking up at Li Mo.

"Let me see what you've hidden?"

Li Mo: "What do you mean?"

Yin Xiu casually pointed around him, "Those things around you that I can't see, but you can use them to touch me."

Li Mo smiled and said, "I don't recommend you look at these things. They don't really fit human aesthetics."

Yin Xiu crossed his arms and stared at him calmly, "You used it to bind an entire copy of me, and now you still want to hide it?"

"You really want to see it?"

"Um."

"Do I really have to watch this?"

Yin Xiu raised an eyebrow. "You really don't want to show me?"

He pointed to the man cowering in the corner, "They can all see it, so why can't I?"

"Because they are not human." Li Mo stared at Yin Xiu unmoved. "But you are human, and it's hard for humans to accept this part of me."

"Difficult to accept doesn't mean completely unacceptable. Maybe I'll like it very much?" Yin Xiu didn't back down an inch.

Having already cleared one instance, Yin Xiu was somewhat displeased that Li Mo was still trying to hide his true feelings as they moved on to the second. He didn't like having someone he didn't understand around him, even if that person wouldn't harm him.

"If you insist, then fine." Li Mo's smiling face softened slightly as he extended his hand to Yin Xiu. "Give me your hand, I'll only let you see it once."

Yin Xiu extended his hand and felt something cool fall into his palm. The sticky, cold, and invisible substance moved around in his palm and unconsciously wrapped around his hand.

This was a very familiar feel to him.

Then, the outline of the thing gradually became clearer in Yin Xiu's eyes, and a black tentacle covered with eyes gradually appeared in the air and wrapped around Yin Xiu's palm.

Compared to the image of eyes appearing on black liquid, which is as hazy and unreal as an illusion in a dungeon, the existence that is now resting in Yin Xiu's palm is incredibly real in terms of touch, size, weight, and color, as if it were part of some kind of living being.

It was alive, conscious, with a tight wrapping and a cool, sticky liquid sliding over Yin Xiu's skin, every eye on it staring at Yin Xiu, reacting to his every move.

This is... part of the real Lemo?

Yin Xiu felt dizzy after staring into those eyes for a long time, as if some strong consciousness was invading his brain, and a chill and awe formed invisibly in his heart.

He abruptly looked away, startled to find his breathing becoming tense and rapid. The hand entwined by the tentacle was trembling involuntarily, even though it hadn't attacked him at all, it was just touching him.

"Unacceptable, right?" Li Mo's voice drifted from the side as he smiled and slowly approached the frozen Yin Xiu.

The tentacles on his palm hooked around his fingers, as if Li Mo were holding his hand.

He embraced her from behind, the warmth against her back exactly the same as the tentacles wrapped around her hands. They were indeed one entity; this was Li Mo, or perhaps a more real side of Li Mo than the humanoid one.

"It's alright. It's normal for a human to feel fear when facing the unknown. It's a human defense mechanism," Li Mo said slowly, offering his own explanation for Yin Xiu's silence.

A silence fell over the room. Just as Li Mo felt it was time to retract what she had hidden, Yin Xiu suddenly moved.

He clenched his fist slightly, grasping the black, sticky tentacles in his palm. After a brief moment of forbearance, he slowly exhaled, "Who says I can't accept it?"

"It's easier for a human monster to accept another kind of monster than you think." Yin Xiu opened his mouth, then lowered his head and bit down on the tip of a tentacle. "It's just a slightly larger octopus tentacle with eyes!"

His teeth landed on the black tentacles, leaving a tooth mark next to the trembling eyes. For a moment, Li Mo behind Yin Xiu became horrifyingly distorted, turning into a shapeless, constantly expanding and contracting black liquid, accompanied by a sharp ringing in the ears, which descended upon the entire floor.

The teeth marks embedded in the tentacles, the warmth of his tongue pressed against the cold surface, his breath falling on the icy surface, yet transmitted deep within like an electric shock, triggering a surging roar.

He trembled so much from that bite that he almost lost his human form.
