Chapter 6 - The Crying Girl

Late afternoon…

When Rai returned from school, he stopped by a minimarket for a moment to buy toothpaste, since the toothpaste available at the dormitory had a very unpleasant taste.

"The total is ten thousand rupiah," said the cashier.

Out of curiosity, Rai paid using his Reviva Points, and it turned out that the transaction was successful. His remaining balance was now ninety thousand.

Rai then walked out of the minimarket.

"I didn't expect these points could actually be used…"

Suddenly, from the left, he heard the sound of several people making a commotion. Rai turned toward the source of the noise and saw three male students harassing a female student.

At first, Rai did not want to get involved. However, when he saw the girl's face, which looked anxious and on the verge of tears, he reluctantly decided to step in and help her.

"Come on, it's just karaoke for a little while," one of the male students said.

"I'm sorry, but I'm busy…" the girl replied.

The male student began to grab the girl's hand and then pulled her roughly.

"What's wrong, huh? Do you dare refuse an invitation from a senior?" the male student said.

The girl started to feel pain as her hand was gripped very tightly. But then, like a late-arriving hero, Rai stepped in and grabbed the male student's hand in return, causing him to cry out in pain.

"Let go of your grip, or I'll break your hand…" Rai said in a serious tone.

The male student was in even more pain. Suddenly, one of his friends tried to help by throwing a punch at Rai. However, Rai swiftly avoided it and kicked the student, sending him flying backward.

Seeing this, they immediately panicked and decided to flee in a frantic hurry.

"Thank you so much. You really saved me," the female student said.

"It's nothing…" Rai replied while glancing at the male students who were running away.

Rai picked up his bag that had fallen earlier and walked away as the sun had begun to set. The girl looked confused.

"Wait, where are you going?" she called out.

However, Rai ignored her and continued walking back toward the Opportunis dormitory. When the girl noticed the Opportunis symbol with a single moon on Rai's uniform, she smiled faintly.

Meanwhile, when Rai arrived at the dormitory, a servant greeted him at the entrance.

"Good evening, Rai. Are you going to cook again tonight?" the servant asked.

"Of course," Rai replied briefly while continuing to walk past him.

The servant smiled. "I can't wait to see it," he said.

Rai did not respond and continued up the stairs to his room on the third floor.

Once inside his room, Rai opened his phone and checked his class schedule for the next day. Suddenly, a notification appeared suggesting that he start looking for a job to increase his Reviva Points.

"A suggestion to look for a job? Ninety thousand is already more than enough…" Rai muttered.

Night time…

After finishing making sushi, Rai brought the food with him because he wanted to eat it by the fountain in the backyard of the dormitory. However, when he arrived there, he saw a female student crying on one of the garden benches.

Seeing this, Rai, feeling sorry for her, walked closer and stood behind the girl.

"She looks like a new student too…" Rai murmured.

The girl noticed Rai's presence.

"What do you want? Are you here to mock me too?"

In a cold tone, Rai replied, "I don't even know you. How could I mock you?"

Hearing this, the girl fell silent for a moment. She then slowly turned around and looked at Rai's face, illuminated by the moonlight.

"Have you eaten?" Rai asked while showing his sushi bento.

Rai opened several bento boxes filled with the sushi he had made earlier and offered them to her while handing her a pair of chopsticks.

Because she was hungry, the girl accepted the chopsticks hesitantly and began to taste the sushi. She was immediately shocked by how delicious it was.

Seeing her reaction, Rai asked, "Do you like sushi?"

The girl only nodded softly while continuing to eat the sushi Rai had made.

Rai then noticed the name written on the pajamas she was wearing.

"AvelineMireya? Your name sounds interesting… so what made them bully you?"

Suddenly, Aveline choked. Seeing this, Rai immediately gave her a glass of water. Aveline drank it quickly.

"Thank you for giving me such delicious sushi," Aveline said while holding the glass of water.

Rai did not answer. He simply stared silently at the fountain in front of them.

"Actually, I'm the same as you… also a new student at this dormitory. I just arrived here four days ago," Aveline said.

"So, what exactly happened to you?" Rai asked.

Aveline fell silent for a moment before finally answering, "For the past two days, I've been bullied by several female students from the Percival class. They did it just because I accidentally bumped into their queen."

"Wow… that's quite cruel," Rai said.

Suddenly, Rai stood up, making Aveline confused.

"Where are you going?" Aveline asked.

"I'm going back inside. Do you want to come with me?" Rai replied while tying his sushi bento back up.

"No… I'll stay here," Aveline answered with a sad expression.

Rai then hurried back into the dormitory as the night grew darker. However, deep in his heart, he still felt worried about leaving Aveline alone in such a quiet place.
