Chapter 141 - Part 141:The Wind in the Corridor

The mobile operating system passed the test!

This is easy to understand-it proves that the mobile system created by Jiang Fan runs correctly and is fully operational.

A perfect score of 100 for overall performance!

Now, this is truly extraordinary. The scoring standard is based on a comparison with all mobile operating systems currently available on Bluestar. A perfect score of 100 means this system surpasses all others, excelling in every aspect.

Liu Tao couldn't believe his eyes. He had initially expected to witness Jiang Fan make a fool of himself, but his expression froze upon seeing the results. A perfect 100? How could that be?

He leaned closer to the computer and clicked to retest, now suspecting the testing equipment might be malfunctioning.

However, after five minutes, the results remained unchanged.

Liu Tao was so shocked that cold sweat started to form on his forehead. He could not believe it—Jiang Fan had created a top-tier mobile operating system in just an hour.

If that was true, then Liu Tao, who had worked as a technical director for three years, had created a system that was inferior to one made by a young man in just sixty minutes.

And the CEO, Ren Zhengfei, stood right behind him. Liu Tao couldn't bear to be outshone like this. After all, he was considered one of the leading technical experts in mobile systems in Dragon Country!

He kept telling himself that the testing equipment must be faulty.

So, Liu Tao decided to import the system developed by his own team into the test.

Five minutes later, the result appeared:

Mobile operating system test passed!

Overall score: 56.

At this point, Liu Tao had no choice but to accept that the testing equipment was indeed functioning correctly. The score was exactly the same as the one their team had always received for their system.

He looked up, somewhat embarrassed, meeting Jiang Fan's gaze, then glancing at Ren Zhengfei. At that moment, he felt a wave of humiliation and helplessness.

"Director Liu, how did the test go?" Ren Zhengfei asked.

Liu Tao felt a deep sense of helplessness. He didn't want to admit it, but the truth was undeniable: Jiang Fan's system was perfect.

"Ren... Ren Zhengfei, the system he developed surpasses both Android and iOS. It ranks number one on Bluestar!"

Upon hearing this, Ren Zhengfei's eyes sparkled with excitement. He immediately grabbed Jiang Fan's hand.

"Jiang, thank you so much! Not only have you guided us in the development of chip manufacturing machinery, but you've also solved our mobile system problem. Now, Dragon Country has mastered both chips and mobile operating systems. The phone industry will never be subject to sanctions again! Hahaha..."

Liu Tao, hearing Ren Zhengfei speak of Jiang Fan helping them with the chip production tools, suddenly understood.

Could it be... that he was sent here by the country as an expert in chip technology?

If so, everything made sense. He had heard that this chip expert was incredibly talented, one of the country's top specialists. He had mistakenly assumed that Jiang Fan was just another boastful intern.

Looking back, he realized that his earlier thoughts and actions were nothing short of foolish.

Liu Tao glanced at Jiang Fan, who was still smiling, and was relieved to see that Jiang Fan seemed unbothered. He hadn't been offended.

"Director Liu, let me explain the design principles behind this system. This way, you'll have a better understanding of it!" Jiang Fan said.

Liu Tao, now filled with respect, immediately offered his seat to Jiang Fan. He stood aside, eagerly listening to his explanation.

After Jiang Fan finished, he asked if Liu Tao understood. Liu Tao nodded eagerly, like a chick pecking at grain.

"How about this: Director Liu, add me on WeChat. If you have any questions later, feel free to contact me!" Jiang Fan said.

Liu Tao, overwhelmed and flattered, replied, "Can I really add you on WeChat?"

Excited, Liu Tao quickly pulled out his phone, scanned Jiang Fan's QR code, and added him as a friend.

He hadn't expected that a national-level top-tier expert would be so down-to-earth, without a hint of arrogance.

After wrapping up his business with Huawei, Jiang Fan returned to Research Institute No. 3.

Everyone who saw him greeted him respectfully, and Jiang Fan responded with a smile.

As he passed through a corridor on his way to his dorm, he noticed a sexy woman in a light blue dress standing in front of his door. The dress was knee-length, revealing her legs in black stockings. Though Jiang Fan wasn't particularly attracted to stockings, he couldn't help but glance at her legs for a moment.

The woman stood sideways, her hand raised as if to knock on the door, but then hesitated and withdrew it.

Jiang Fan, slightly puzzled, wondered if the woman was looking for him. But he didn't recognize her, and this was a national research institute—how could someone so provocatively dressed be here?

Just as the woman decided to knock, Jiang Fan approached and asked, "Are you looking for me?"

The woman quickly turned around, and Jiang Fan realized it was Qiao Yifei.

It was no wonder he didn't recognize her—she had been wearing a white lab coat and a braid in the past few days. But now, dressed casually, he couldn't immediately place her.

Qiao Yifei seemed a bit flustered at first, but then she composed herself and said, "Oh... it's nothing. I just wanted to check if you had lunch yet."

Jiang Fan was taken aback by her sudden, gentle tone. It was so different from her usual demeanor.

For a moment, Jiang Fan didn't respond right away, but then reminded himself to keep a distance from her.

"I've already eaten," he said.

"Oh, I see... then..."

Qiao Yifei lowered her head shyly, as if preparing to invite Jiang Fan out for a walk. But just as she spoke those two words, the sound of a door closing interrupted her.

She looked up in confusion, realizing that Jiang Fan had already entered his room.

A gust of cold wind blew through the window at the end of the hallway, lifting her skirt, creating a sense of inexplicable melancholy.

From her stunned expression, it was clear she was still trying to process what had just happened.

Who was she?

Why was she here?

A series of questions filled Qiao Yifei's mind.

Before she could react, the door opened again.

Jiang Fan, wearing a backpack, walked out.

Seeing this, Qiao Yifei broke into a triumphant smile.

It seemed that Jiang Fan wasn't ignoring her after all. He had just gone to his room to get something. Maybe he had already been attracted to her, but was just too shy to speak up.

If he was hesitant, then it was up to her to take the next step.

She was confident that no man could resist her allure.

"Well..."

Just as Qiao Yifei was about to speak, Jiang Fan cut her off.

"Senior Qiao, do you know where Uncle Qiao is?" he asked.

"He's... in Director Zhang's office!" Qiao Yifei replied instinctively.

"Thanks."

Jiang Fan said, and immediately left.

Once again, the hallway was empty, with only Qiao Yifei left standing there.

At that moment, a stronger cold breeze blew through the window at the end of the corridor.

The wind tousled her hair, and she felt a strange sense of disarray
