Persephone had a doomed fate from the start.
Named after the goddess Hades tricked into the underworld.
But what Persephone never knew was that she was never meant to live as long as she did.
It was a matter of fate and being caught at the right time.
Winter was her foe, the nights were dark.
Winter made her aware of how lonely she was.
Other kids together making snowmen together in unison.
She would go back to her mother's arms.
It was a lonely life but it was hers.
Sometimes she would taste the snowflakes and they were sweet.
The ground looked like chocolate but Persephone wasn't dumb enough to try.
Mother was strict. Her words "Home. School. Home."
Nothing more and nothing less.
She could sometimes go to the park in the summer but only an hour before 5:30 pm.
The boys and girls in uniform lines.
Persephone never really understood it.
Mother told her not to mind though.
Persephone would listen. Mother was all she had.
