I lied about the chapter name :p, enjoy this instead.

Timeskip, Spade kingdom invasion.

____________

-two mouths later-

Somewhere in the outskirts of Spade kingdom, a bunch of soldiers sit around a campfire with their rations in their hands.

Above the soldiers, the skies were glittered with stars while a crescent moon hung above them.

Yet the soldiers had neither time nor free will to relax. Each of them looking half awake in daze as exhaustion overwhelmed them but fear kept them awake.

These were conditions of spade soldiers, their rations nothing more than finger long pieces of jerky they made from their own hunts near the kingdom's border.

But unknown to the soldiers, the moon vanishes from the skies above them, casting a pure black shadow as a massive cloud covers the sky.

Meanwhile, at the same time when the soldiers began falling victim to their own tiredness, Hundreds of people were looking down at the soldiers from the so-called cloud.

"That's first checkpoint." Said one of the people.

"No need to state the obvious, four eyes. Each of us already received the map." A second person mocks the first one before getting yoinked by a hand larger than his hand.

"Then what are you losers waiting for?" A third pereon, an proper muscular adult said in annoyance as clenches his grip tighter with the second person still within his hands.

Toss!

With great strength, the third person tosses the second one down, sending him spiraling down the clouds as a sparks began flying everywhere.

It didn't take the guards long to see a white flash heading towards them from the sky. And much to their horror, the single flash was soon surrounded by dozens of more that appeared beside it.

Like literal meteors, the flashes came crashing down. The stone walk not even lasting a single crash as the bombardment shattered the gates and many watchtowers to pieces within seconds.

Loom...

Slowly a minute passed with no movement near the craters as the darkness loomed over the guards. Eventually the guards felt it necessary to identify what had just happened and began walking towards the collapsed rubble with their grimoires open and their hands holding onto their weapons.

'What was that? A meteor shower? ' thought one of them, his hands slowly going towards the rubble in front of him.

But then—

Kick!!

The guard and rubble gets blasted away as Lightening soared out of the crater. The guards could watch in fear while a hand reached out from the crater, followed by a smiling face that shivers down their spines as they heard a voice.

"Who is the strongest among you?"

Simultaneously, the other craters also get blasted to bits, one by one revealing the invaders as their customized black uniforms with five leafed clovers decorating their backs.

The same situation was happening not just on this part of the border but every single checkpoint or fort, with each being either showered or sieged by mages of the three other kingdoms that have been selected and trained under the combined observation of all the wizard kings and all the spirits overseeing the Brimstone bastion.

However at the same time, the most important person was currently not involved in the siege, instead he was looking down from the highest point of the bastion, noticing the battle as he used his vision to find the important targets with the help a pair of artifact goggles.

"Two worshippers on the fourth checkpoint, three in the seventh and the rest have atleast 1." He muttered his observations to the people beside him.

It was Asta, his hybrid form fully unleashed as he lead the battle using his enhanced vision and The intelligence of Lemiel, Conrad and Julius who used his observations to play their game of strategy.

But just as Asta felt some a part of their forces were failing to match the others. He raises his hand, a clumsy purple coloured mana circle appearing a meter above him as a gravitational orb was conjured and sent flying towards the the seventh checkpoint.

The orb darts through the air, slowly decreasing in speed as the distance between it and Asta grew farther and farther.

But as it eventually reached the checkpoint, a orb froze right in front of a devil worshipper's face, surprising him and soon, imploded, pulverizing everything in a two meter radius.

'I just can't understand how Yuno can do this stuff as easily as breathing, it took all my focus just to fire a small projectile. '

The orb of had taken about twenty percent of Asta's mana with its terrible efficiency. But little did he know, Asta was greatly underestimating the difference between a elemental magic like wind and a conceptual one like gravity as well as his learning speed.

Nevertheless with the threat below gone, he watched in silence as the combined forces of clover kingdom's specifically selected magic knights demolished the foot soldier with the support from the diamond kingdom and heart kingdom's reforcements.

In the end, Asta felt there was no need for him to intervene and turned around to leave, "Call me if something anything needing me happens."

However as he was leaving, Asta heard Lemiel teasing him.

"So which place are you going to? The training Hall? The dining place or maybe, a date with one of—"

Lemiel stops as he recieves a dead serious glare from Asta and zips his mouth shut.

"I am going to sleep in my room... I have to prepare for my fight with Lucifero." Asta said coldly, his chilling voice making Lemiel feel bad for doubting his dedication to their war.

But as Asta left everyone's sights and reached the elevator, the Chibi Liebe popped up behind his ear and walked to his shoulder while talking, "You are a really bad lier you know? I may not be human but even I am not as heartless as you."

"What are you talking about, Liebe? I am just going to take a rest."

But liebe didn't believe him and says, "In the same bedroom you have been getting ambushed by the pink haired women?"

For a second Asta visibly winced, his face twisting into a uncontrollable expression that mix of flustered and embarrassed as he remembers the shameless advances of Princia which ended many times with him having to sleep in the training room.

It wasn't the fact that he hated or anything, rather it was the fact she liked him not for his personality but rather her obsession to fighting. Everytime she proposed, her words always ended with "let's go fight" or "how about a little spar", leading to Asta having to refuse all advances.

" Honestly, I wish I had spent more socializing instead of being stuck in that forest and training."

However Liebe shook his head while patting Asta on the head, "It's better you didn't, you will probably ending up falling to someone's tricks if you did."

"And WHAT'S THE SUPPOSED TO MEAN?! ARE YOU CALLING ME STUPID?? "

"Yes."

Asta had no comeback and slumped down in defeat after being hit with reality.

That's when the elevator stopped, meaning Asta had finally reached the floor he wanted and was waiting, but just as the door was about to be opened, he heard a prideful voice.

"You girls are real cowards you know that?"

It was Princia's voice and it halted right in his tracks, also causing buckets of sweat to pour down his forehead as he slowly pushed the door back together with his monstrous strength.

By the footsteps, Asta could tell Princia wasn't alone and by her words he could assume she was talking to few other girls.

"Well forgive us for not being over 40 years old. It's not everyone had hundreds of people she rejected." It was Sol's voice this time.

However then after a brief pause, Asta heard Vanessa's voice, "Why are you looking at me like that? I am not an hag."

"We don't know that. a witch never tells her age."

Eventually the sound of footsteps and small talk faded away, leaving Asta finally relieved that he could peacefully walk to his room in silence.

Asta pulls back his hands, letting go of the door that he impaled with his claws. He looked up, watched the door open and began walking forward.

But then, just he took the first step out of the room into a corridor, he was greeted by several presences surrounding him as Princia and the gang stared at him from the sides.

"You thought we wouldn't notice the foot stopping and closing?" She asked him, a vein popping up on her forehead as she tries to catch Asta with a quick swipe.

Without a moment's notice, Asta blurs away, his body accelerated to escape as he tried to slip past the group, only for him to be struck by the flat side of a rock sword, sending him flying back to Princia's grasp in a comedic fashion but without any injury.

"S-Sol!? Why? Why would you betray your teacher!!? "

"Well *Sol winks* if I support Sis Princia, then I might get those weekly swordsmanship lessons everyday instead. I mean you can't—"

Whoosh!

"I am sorry ladies, but I have some serious business with Asta." Yuno arrives to save Asta's skin, his flawless poker face showing that he meant no funny business.

Asta also saw that face but unlike the others he knew Yuno was just trying to save his skin. Quickly he raised his voice, agreeing with Yuno as he shook his head vertically in a frantic manner.

However he could only hope that Princia let go of him willingly, as a promise he half-heartly made over a month ago, restricted him for forcing his way out.

(I have a seperate chapter related to this.)

...

...

"Tch! Fine! Take him!" Princia angerly tosses Asta like a rag. "I wonder what Charmy saw in you, if you had half as emotions as everyone, that face could have brought some friends."

Yuno conjures a small tornado to Catch Asta, "I will keep that in mind. Lady Princia."

The girls then watched the two of them leave, their path leading further down the corridor as they vanished into another elevator around the corner.

Meanwhile Asta was stretching his legs and arms in relief while Yuno fed Bell some snacks from his pocket as the two of them began descending deeper into the city.

"You saved my hide again, Yuno...Thanks!" Asta said joyfully.

But Yuno's expression didn't change, "It's my job at this point. It was one thing to rule the kingdom with your stupid brain but I still find it unbelievable that there are actually people who like you. "

Asta felt mocked and retorts, "What about you then? The only ones who have admitted to liking you are those who don't know your personality or only like you for your face! "

The two lock eyes, only for their angered faces to blossom into smiles the next moment as they fist-bumped each other.

"You ready? I have been dying to know about that mana zone you and the wizard kings used. The range makes me feel envious." Asta nonchalantly says, his hand going into inner pockets of his coat as he brings out a hand written book with slightly bumpy hand writing.

Meanwhile Yuno takes out a different book written in his machine like perfect hand writing, "I have also been curious. I still haven't been able to use zettan at will or subconsciously like you."

The two exchange the books as the Elevator doors open to reveal a massive field the size of football stadium.

And the immediately began folding their sleeves as they prepared, because for the two of them, there is no method better than a good-old sparing they have been doing since childhood to understand eacho other's words.
