"You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequences of your choice."
_____
An old man was smoking a cigarette butt, sitting on a luxurious chair plated with diamonds.
A few steps in front of him, a young man with brown hair, striking black eyes, and neat, long, straight hair was seen. He bowed respectfully to the old man not far from him.
"Rise. What is the problem?" asked the old man, who was comfortably seated on his diamond-plated chair. He was Mr. Shawn.
"Some files are missing, and a lot of money is gone from the safe, Elder!" he explained to the elder.
The small answer that came from the brown-haired young man, or rather "Eddie," made Shawn laugh dismissively.
"Only a fool would do that inside our headquarters, Ed!" Shawn scoffed.
"So, Elder, what should we do?" Eddie asked him.
"The time has come. We won't be the ones cleaning this up! Instead, that young man will. Brian!" Shawn explained to Eddie.
Eddie, who knew exactly who Shawn was referring to, replied, "Understood!"
Eddie bowed slightly, offering respect before leaving Shawn's room.
His steps led him to a certain place; his heart felt a slight hesitation to approach the room where the young man named Brian resided. Just as he reached the sturdy iron door, he muttered a small hope.
"God, I hope everything will be alright!" Eddie whispered a prayer before opening the door.
That small hope solidified his hand as he opened the iron door. In the dim light of the room, where hardly a glimmer of light existed, the sound of punching began to be heard.
A young man was vaguely visible, practicing boxing, hitting several wooden dummies in front of him with full force. Slowly, Eddie approached the young man focused on hitting the wooden dummies.
"Brian!" Eddie greeted, but there was no response to the call. The young man named Brian continued to hit the wooden dummies. Eddie tried to remain calm; he didn't want to get emotional.
"Why are you here?" Brian asked, his hands still hitting the wooden dummies as he spoke to Eddie.
"There's a task for you from the Elder!" Eddie answered him.
Hearing that, Brian stopped hitting the wooden dummies. He exhaled roughly and turned to face Eddie.
"There's an intruder, you need to take care of it!" Eddie said, and a small smile, or rather a smirk, began to form on Brian's face.
"How many times do we have to obey that old man's wishes, huh? Isn't he in charge? Then why doesn't he handle it himself?" Brian complained, cursing Shawn.
Without a word, Eddie began to walk out, and Brian followed suit. Several armed men they passed saluted both Brian and Eddie.
"Close all entrances! Let's hunt for the intruder!" Brian commanded.
Brian's hand was raised, pointing to all the buttons inside the headquarters. Without any resistance, everyone there obeyed Brian's command.
From the main entrance to the secret doors, everything was locked and heavily guarded. While everyone was busy, Brian's eyes, full of scrutiny, meticulously observed every person inside the headquarters.
It didn't take long for his gaze to fix on one person. Brian reached into his pocket and then pointed a pistol at that person.
"Why did you do it?" Brian asked the middle-aged man he was pointing the gun at. A cunning smile briefly curved on the man's face.
"Are you not aware that this organization has committed too many sins? And will you add to your sins by killing me here? Or let me live and be a threat to all of you?" the intruder said to Brian.
"I am not God, who can decide whether you live or die! But I am a human who will give you a choice! Tell me who sent you here, or someone else will force you to meet God sooner!" Brian stated.
"Betrayal is the most shameful thing for a soldier; dying here and protecting everything is an honor!" the intruder told Brian.
That man's principle infuriated Brian. He completely lost it when he heard the principle the man stated; to him, it was disgusting. Serving based on loyalty was shameful to Brian.
"Take care of him!!!" Brian commanded firmly. One of the young men aimed his pistol at the man; without hesitation, the trigger was pulled.
Bang
One shot ended the man's life. Sure that the man in front of him was dead, Brian quickly headed toward a room with a sturdy door plated with gold and diamonds. His hand opened the door, and he entered, into Elder Shawn's quarters.
"Excellent, Brian! One more task for you. This won't be difficult. We just need to breathe some fresh air outside now, then eliminate two American detectives and also kill two American FBI agents. That's a warning to them for daring to mess with me!" Shawn said, assigning the task to Brian.
"Alright!" Brian replied firmly.
"I'll give you Team Alpha to complete this mission!" Mr. Shawn told Brian. Brian chuckled at that.
"I don't need a large team for such an easy mission; I'm not an idiot!" Brian said to him. Shawn smiled faintly, hearing this. Brian was his pride.
"Very well, remember, when you leave this organization to carry out the mission, your identity is Nicolas, not Brian!" Shawn reminded Brian.
"I understand!" Brian replied to him.
"Go!" Shawn commanded.
The task accepted, Brian left Shawn's presence. He headed to the armory, grabbing several weapons he needed. After that, he changed his clothes and began his disguise.
He took his luxurious Ferrari and drove it toward the police station. As soon as he arrived, he called someone.
"We need a helicopter, be on standby. The target is the Tokyo police station!" Brian explained to his subordinates.
"Yes, young master!" the person on the other end said.
Brian hung up the phone and got out of his car, walking toward the police station. However, two police officers on guard at the entrance stopped him.
"Who are you? What is your business?" one of the officers asked, blocking Brian. Brian smiled slyly at the question.
"I will only state my business to those who are connected to me!" Brian answered them.
"Oh, is that so? Alright, stay here. Don't dare to approach the door!" the police officer said.
"Wow, it seems I need to teach you gentlemen some manners. Remember one thing: ignoring a guest when they visit is not good!" Brian said to them.
The two police officers laughed at Brian's response; they seemed to be underestimating Brian.
"An ordinary citizen like you will teach us?"
"Don't judge someone by their appearance, because that is useless! Look and observe them by their ability; you will surely be speechless when you see it. Everyone has an advantage, and yes... don't be careless. The situation here is very quiet; it's just you two and me! I'm going to play around with you!" Brian said to them.
The two police officers continued to underestimate Brian, while the one being underestimated remained silent and motionless.
"Bingo!" Brian exclaimed, smiling victoriously.
The two police officers who had been underestimating Brian were now silent and stunned. How could they not be? Two young men had suddenly appeared behind them, pointing pistols directly at the back of their heads.
When the two police officers tried to reach for the weapons on their belts, they were shocked to find that the weapons were missing. Brian smiled slightly, watching the two confused officers in front of him searching for the weapons that were previously there.
"The weapons you are looking for are the weapons that will kill you if either of you screams! Guard them and take care of them!" Brian ordered.
"Who are you?" one of them asked Brian. Brian smiled faintly at the small question that came from one of the detained police officers.
"What is it, sir? Are you interested?" Brian asked them in a mocking tone.
"Who are you?" the police officer asked again.
"I'm Nicolas. Okay, I don't have much time right now. I have to go!" Brian said to them.
Brian entered the police station; there were only a few police officers inside. Yes, because it was already very late.
Brian entered the CCTV monitoring room. There was still a person inside, but they didn't notice Brian's presence.
He approached the CCTV operator and incapacitated him, then destroyed the entire CCTV system. Second target: Brian started heading toward a meeting room inside the Tokyo police station, passing several police officers without any fear in his heart.
Fortunately, he had managed to change his appearance and take the operator's uniform, so no one suspected him. Upon reaching the meeting room, Brian began to place something there.
After being sure all tasks were completed, Brian headed to the rooftop of the police station building.
A helicopter came to pick him up. The two police officers he had detained earlier had already been neutralized; Brian's subordinates injected something into the two officers. All of Brian's subordinates then left the police station.
"Our celebration is about to begin!" Brian said. Brian watched the Tokyo police station from inside the helicopter.
His hand pressed a red button, and a second later, one part of the police station exploded. Brian smiled cunningly afterward.
Elsewhere, the explosion stunned a girl who was not far from the police station. A tear fell from her eyelid, and she began to sob.
"What is this! I was just about to see you!" she said, still sobbing. Her hand reached for the phone in her jacket pocket.
She pressed the phone button, calling someone.
Brian's helicopter stopped right above an old house by the beach. A rope from inside the helicopter was lowered until it touched the ground.
"You report this to Elder Shawn; let me rest! I will return to the headquarters soon after my strength is restored!" Brian told his subordinates.
Brian descended after saying that to his subordinates. After confirming Brian was on the ground below, the rope was pulled back up, and the helicopter departed.
Brian walked toward the old house by the beach. There was a wooden staircase there to help him climb up to the old house. Right in front of the house's door was a long wooden bridge leading toward the beach.
The night wind was blowing very cold tonight, making Brian quicken his steps to enter the old house. He lay down on the bed, and moments later, he fell asleep.
