Chapter 3
It was 4:00 AM in the morning I wasn't able to get any sleep because I was to eager to Fly to Colombia time was ticking too slow to me all I could do was walk around my room imagining how the things will be when I get to Colombia if I'll make it out alive , deep down I know I'll take in couple of bullets in my body but I hope it doesn't kills me.
Finally It was 6:00 AM I called Alejandro to know if everything was ready and he gave me a good answer I was waiting for all along then I called out to Xavier to get ready , We both prepared and drove to a local runway where a plane was already waiting for you both.... We got in and started our journey to Colombia.
After 5 hours 50minutes we finally arrived at a runway where Alejandro was waiting.
"Hola amigo bienvenido a Colombia ven te llevaré a tu apartamento para que puedas relajarte"(Hello friend, welcome to Colombia. Come, I'll take you to your apartment so you can relax" Alejandro welcomed me.
We got to the prepared apartment took out luggage in he offered us drinks then I introduced Xavier to him.
"Alejandro this is Xavier my childhood friend and Xavier this Alejandro(AKA Mr connections) he's a great powered man he has always been there for me anything I need his help in any situation I found myself life or death he always has a solution to help me out and we have only known for 5 years when I visited Colombia to deliver goods he's a nice man"
Both Alejandro and Xavier shook hand so he asked us to rest before we start working I never wanted to rest for even a minute though I was very tired but I had no intentions on resting but he insisted I should that he has everything under control.
After many hours of of sleeping I finally woke up saw Xavier laying beside me I checked the time it's was already 6:00pm I jumped up from the bed and walked to the living room I found Alejandro and three more persons.
"Oh you're awake hope you slept well" Alejandro said as he walked to me
"How come I slept for so long Alejandro what did you add into the drink you served me and Xavier" I asked in suspense
Alejandro looked at me and laughed "Common Xavier but you did woke up right... I added some Sweet dreams , so Zack here are my accomplice these are... Miguel(Hitman) , Sanitago(transporter) , Mariana(hacker) and this is Xavier y'all , Do Xavier what you got for us?"
I looked at them all still not impressed because to me I didn't saw what we needed all that for I wanted to get the job done myself but I was wrong though " Can I have a moment with you Alejandro?" I called him to the corner and explained everything to him.
He looked at me in surprised and asked " So your family are held by Kai Ming you know how dangerous is it , so where did you delivered the goods to here on Colombia?"
"Santa Marta" I responded
"Amigo why will you take such a deal did you asked for details before you sent the goods Santa Marta has the most deadliest cartel, which cartel did you sent the goods to?" He asked with a concern voice.
I was already regretting but what's done is done "medelin cartel" i answered.
He looked at me in disappointment though I didn't care how dangerous the cartel was I just wanted to get money and get back my family and live a normal life.
He asked the other people he brought to join us so we started plotting our plans before we would be able to get access to Santa Marta we would get past the big gate and the gate is guarded by dozens of medelin gang members.
" Here's what we'll do Mariana will get her eyes up high for us to give directions when going in and when coming out , secondly Santiago will get the van ready for us , then Miguel will go with Xavier and Zack I hope y'all are ready" Alejandro plotted the map to us all.
"What did I miss and what was I supposed to know" Xavier said with sleepy eyes.
"Zack you'll go in unarmed because they will know you're an American , I'll be the armed one" Miguel said to me.
" I wish y'all good luck" Alejandro concluded
We all got ready Santiago brought the van we got in Mariana took her position I got to know it's a mission van with a lot of surveillances TV in it she was already preparing the drone , Miguel was preparing the arms.. a hidden camera was planted on us.
Santiago drove us to half our journey and we changed vans , Santiago and Mariana was at the surveillance van while me , Xavier and Miguel used another van we arrived at the big gate it was really a beautiful gate huge gate that demacstes the City from the gang members it was divided into two one side was for the people and for the other end was ruled by the medelin cartel as we approached the gate we was being tail by legs all the gang members was armed
The van suddenly stopped one of the gang member walked to Miguel and was asking questions , we kept calm and made no noise though I was shivering but I kept my composure while some other members checked the van and saw me and Xavier sitting at the back they alerted the others and they all pointed their gun on us.
"Oye hermano, tómatelo con calma, están aquí por negocios, quieren ver a tu jefe. (Hey brother, take it easy, they're here on business, they want to see your boss)"Miguel calmed them down
They asked us to get down from the van we got down then we started walking all gang members eyes was locked on us not because of anything but because we was Americans... After 30 minutes of walking we got to the main cartels building then we was asked to wait outside , Miguel walked down to where I was and asked have you met with the boss before I paused for some minutes and responded to him
" I have never met the boss before I only delivered the goods when I was in Chicago to a street vendor over here"
He sighed and shook his head and said to me "This is about to get ugly your goods is about to get denied you made a blind deal with them you don't even know the boss you delivered the goods to and I'm sure you don't have contact with the street vendor also but let's see how it goes"
"Bring them in " a voice echoed
We walked in and as soon as we stepped in we saw the big fat boss sitting in a couch with gold rings and chains on him we stood not dare to sit when we wasn't asked too.
"What brings you to my humble territory?" the gang boss asked
I stepped forward... "I'm here for our unfinished business" I responded
" What unfinished business" he asked
I explained everything to him , He looked deep into my eyes and told me.
" I no not what you're talking about , what is the name of the person you delivered the goods to?"
" Diaz " Immediately responded I was furious when he said he don't know what I was talking about but I couldn't do anything because we are outnumbered.
"You may leave I don't know what you're talking about " he said to me
The room was immediately heated with lies and Anger sweat all over my body I became furious before I could spit another word out of my mouth Miguel stopped me and said to the boss... "Ok we'll leave now sorry for the bothering it won't happen again"
We walked out of the apartment escorted by 5 armed members we reached our van and drove out of the gate on our way out I saw a familiar face like Diaz I quickly bring out my phone checked our conversation and saw his picture I raised my voice.... "Miguel! Miguel! that's Diaz close to the cab"
The van suddenly stopped I rushed out and ran towards Diaz , he raised his head and saw me running towards him and he bolted off into the nearby street but I didn't stopped I followed him I pursued with all I had my pace was faster than him he turned back and saw me getting closer then he made a sharp turn to the left... My pace was too much I tried to halt at the process snapped my ankle and it hard unto a jar close I was on the ground watching him flee away I never wanted to admit defeat.
I struggle on the ground "Nooooo "No! No! No!" I screamed in pain and cried.
"Zack" Xavier and Miguel running towards me... " Why did you ran off that way we couldn't keep up" Xavier scolded me
" It's alright let's get going before there will be any suspence around" Miguel said to me
They both help me up to the van we got in and left.
