Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Sharingan

A golden box!

Uchiha En was delighted. Previous upgrades had only given white boxes, but this golden box was clearly different and definitely contained something good.

Uchiha En impatiently opened the box. Inside was something resembling a Ninjutsu scroll.

The moment Uchiha En's hand touched the scroll, it vanished, and a skill appeared in his mind.

Skill Name: [Teleportation]

Skill Type: Active Skill

Skill Effect: Allows for spatial leaps over short distances. Maximum leap distance is 100 meters. Can be used in reality and in-game.

Skill Consumption: 10 Chakra.

Friendly Reminder: Teleportation involves leaping between two spaces and requires certain physical standards for the user. If the user's physical fitness is insufficient, their body will be crushed by spatial pressure. It is recommended to use only after Constitution exceeds 30.

Teleportation will level up with use, and the skill effect will change after leveling up.

After understanding this skill, Uchiha En only had two words in his mind: "God skill!"

This was absolutely a god-tier skill. A spatial leap that required no medium was simply invincible.

Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God Technique required a marker, and Sasuke's Amenotejikara required swapping places with an object. However, this Teleportation skill required nothing at all; as long as he wished, he could leap to that location.

The only flaw was the distance restriction—the maximum jump distance was only 100 meters.

The Flying Thunder God, after all, had no distance restriction.

Also, given Uchiha En's current Chakra capacity, he could seemingly only move twice, and his Constitution was still 6 points short of the required standard.

"I should have known not to prioritize Dōjutsu Power first," Uchiha En muttered to himself.

Uchiha En had initially invested all his points into Dōjutsu Power. He couldn't be blamed; the impression the Sharingan left on him from watching the anime in his previous life was too deep.

As the Uchiha Clan's Bloodline Limit, the importance of the Sharingan permeated the entirety of Naruto.

It could even be said that the major plot twists in Naruto were fundamentally related to the Sharingan.

The Sharingan has five forms: Single Tomoe Sharingan, Double Tomoe Sharingan, Three-Tomoe Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan, and Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

(PS: Strictly speaking, the Rinnegan is no longer a form of the Sharingan, so it won't be counted here.)

The Single Tomoe Sharingan enhances dynamic vision.

The Double Tomoe Sharingan can see Chakra pathways, copy Taijutsu, and offers a certain resistance to Genjutsu.

The Three-Tomoe Sharingan can use visual Genjutsu to control opponents, and can see through and copy the three arts (Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu) that are not Bloodline Limits. The extent of copying depends on the user's learning ability, physique, and Chakra nature, and cannot copy Secret Techniques, Bloodline Limits, or other special Jutsu.

The Mangekyo Sharingan above that is even more monstrous. The Mangekyo Sharingan awakens special abilities based on the unique traits of different individuals, and the power of each Dojutsu is astonishing.

Furthermore, after obtaining the Mangekyo Sharingan and becoming familiar with it for a period, one can activate the Susanoo, which is considered absolute defense.

However, the Mangekyo Sharingan has a significant drawback: although it possesses powerful Dojutsu, using these Dojutsu causes severe damage to the user's eyesight and body, potentially leading to blindness from overuse.

To use the Mangekyo Sharingan without burden, one must fuse it with the Mangekyo Sharingan of a blood relative to achieve the higher form—the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan is the pinnacle of the Sharingan form. After activating the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, there is no risk of blindness regardless of how much Dojutsu is used, and it allows the user to activate the Complete Body Susanoo, possessing power comparable to that of a god.

Faced with the temptation of such immense power, Uchiha En naturally hoped his Sharingan would evolve as soon as possible. He desperately wished to activate the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan tomorrow and sweep across the Ninja World in a giant mech.

But Uchiha En quickly realized he had overlooked a crucial point: using the Sharingan also requires Chakra.

His previous Chakra capacity was too low, and even if he activated the Sharingan, he couldn't maintain it for long.

What good is strong Dōjutsu Power in that situation?

It's like giving a gun to a baby—can he use it to kill someone? Obviously not.

So, Uchiha En began allocating points to his Chakra capacity.

Uchiha En's initial Chakra capacity was only 19, and now it was 27.

Based on Uchiha En's own experience over this period, a Chakra capacity of 27 could sustain 5 uses of a normal-scale Great Fireball Technique.

Those extravagant, enhanced versions of the Great Fireball Technique seen in the original work would probably be his limit at two uses.

Other C-rank Fire Release Jutsu should be similar, but Uchiha En hadn't tried them because the only Ninjutsu he currently knew were the Three Basic Jutsu and the Great Fireball Technique.

During these three weeks, Uchiha En also tried learning other Ninjutsu, but progress was relatively slow.

To practice Ninjutsu, Uchiha En specifically asked Uchiha Hiroshi for a Chakra Test Paper a few days ago to test his elemental affinity.

Uchiha En originally thought he should be Fire + Water, or Fire + Wind, since one of his parents had Fire and Water affinities, and the other had Fire and Wind. He figured he would inherit at least one of those affinities.

The test results showed that Uchiha En surprisingly possessed three affinities: Fire, Water, and Wind.

However, Chakra affinity is not fixed. The number of innate affinities doesn't truly matter, as other affinities can be developed later.

Take Naruto, for example. Initially, he only had Wind affinity, but later he possessed all five affinities plus the Yang Release.

Sasuke was the same. Initially, he only had Fire and Lightning affinities, but later he possessed all five affinities plus the Yin Release.

Ninja who are born with more affinities simply find it easier to learn corresponding Ninjutsu early on.

Moreover, what truly restricts a Ninja from learning Ninjutsu is never affinity, but talent.

Uchiha En once again felt frustrated by his own talent. A true genius could master a C-rank Ninjutsu after seeing it once, yet despite his hard training for so many days, he hadn't fully learned any of the C-rank Ninjutsu left by his parents.

He was able to release the two C-rank Fire Release Ninjutsu, at least. Fire Release, in any case, was an established foundation, so learning it was definitely easier.

He could release them, but the power was clearly insufficient; they were essentially half-finished products.

There was zero progress with the two C-rank Wind Release Jutsu.

He could create a Water Clone, but it couldn't be sustained for very long.

Conversely, perhaps because Uchiha En initially added points to Dōjutsu Power, he had now completely mastered the D-rank Genjutsu, Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique.

It was a pity that the Single Tomoe Sharingan did not enhance Genjutsu. Otherwise, with this level of Genjutsu, an average Genin would find it difficult to resist.
