"Dying Will Flame?"
Fury's heart stirred, thinking of the flames that Mukuro Rokudo and Xanxus had cast during the battle in the video, but he maintained a confused expression on his face.
Upon seeing this, Hayato Gokudera smiled. "That's the source of our strength. Although it's something that can be easily figured out, I don't have much to say before confirming whether you're an enemy or a friend."
Hearing this, Fury immediately responded, "I came with goodwill."
"Just goodwill isn't enough." Gokudera said, "Although it's unfortunate, sometimes decisions have nothing to do with personal intentions. Factors like position and circumstances are also important in making decisions."
"But as long as there's goodwill on both sides, everything can be resolved peacefully." Fury didn't refute Hayato's words but put forward another viewpoint with great agreement.
In this regard, Hayato Gokudera also strongly agreed.
Although Fury's words weren't entirely correct, no matter what, the Tenth was someone who hated fighting and killing. As the Tenth's right-hand man, he didn't want such things to happen.
The three walked and chatted, quickly passing through the corridor and arriving at a spacious room full of Italian style.
Gorgeous red carpet, expensive solid wood furniture, magnificent crystal chandeliers, luxurious and bright stained glass... Seeing the decoration in this room, Fury felt like he'd entered a European aristocrat's villa. He couldn't imagine this was a mafia family headquarters.
What was more absurd was that these things had been made in one day using materials from the abandoned church.
But these thoughts only stayed in Fury's mind for less than a second before being set aside, his eyes focusing on the center of the room.
On the sofa next to the coffee table sat five people... In the middle was a young man in a black suit and cloak, with orange hair and orange eyes, a sunny face and calm expression.
On his lap sat a baby.
Judging from his size, he seemed only about a year old, wearing a black suit and hat in nineteenth-century style, with a small green chameleon crawling around.
There was a man and woman sitting on his left and right.
The woman had long purple hair with a fashionable bun at the back of her head, wearing purple-tinted eyeglasses and an avant-garde turtleneck sweater—a mature woman with fashionable figure and dress.
The man was a teenager, about fifteen years old.
He had curly black hair and a handsome face, but wore a listless expression. He wore a casual suit and exuded a lazy air throughout.
Behind the sofa stood two young men on the left and right.
Both wore black suits with Asian features.
One had short black hair, clear eyes, and a warm big-brother smile on his face. The other had short white hair and sharp eyes, but his face was very approachable.
Although they stood in the back, they were leaning against the sofa's back cushions, chatting and laughing with those seated—they didn't seem like mere attendants.
These people, Fury had seen in surveillance footage—they were the Vongola Family members who'd appeared in the Harlem area, walking in the front and second rows.
From his previous conversation with Hayato Gokudera, he could probably guess they were the leader and six Guardians of Vongola.
(The relationship between the leader and his assistants is so close. Sure enough, the Vongola Family isn't an organization maintained by interests and fear like ordinary gangs.) Seeing this scene, Fury believed more in his conjecture from watching the surveillance video.
"Tenth, they're here."
At that moment, Hayato Gokudera called out and walked in.
The people in the room looked over, then restrained their laughter, their faces becoming serious.
The orange-haired youth called Tenth by Hayato Gokudera stood up, extended his right hand to Fury, and introduced himself, "Welcome to Vongola headquarters as our guest. I am Tsunayoshi Sawada, Tenth Generation Boss of the Vongola Family."
"Nick Fury!"
Fury's introduction was already very simple, as if just a few more words would kill him.
After the two shook hands, they sat down on opposite sides of the coffee table.
Tsunayoshi introduced to Fury: "This is our family's Mist Guardian 'Chrome Dokuro,' Lightning Guardian 'Lambo,' Sun Guardian 'Ryohei Sasagawa,' Rain Guardian 'Takeshi Yamamoto'..."
Having said this, Tsuna paused and continued, "Except for Cloud Guardian 'Kyoya Hibari' and Mist Guardian 'Mukuro Rokudo' who aren't interested in these matters and didn't come, all of Vongola Family's senior members are here. You can boldly state any proposals you have."
"Why are there two Mist Guardians?" After Barton asked, he pointed to the baby sitting on Tsuna's lap and continued, "Also, for such an important meeting, is it okay to have a baby here?"
"Why wouldn't I be fine here?" The baby raised his head, showing a cute face, and said very arrogant words in a very immature voice. "I am the world's number one hitman 'Reborn,' the Vongola Tenth Generation Boss's tutor."
"..."
A baby, a baby talks!?
Fury and Barton were stunned and looked at Reborn in disbelief.
At first, they'd thought it was inappropriate for a baby to dress up as a killer from the last century, but now he spoke fluent English like... like a supernatural being.
This was too ridiculous!
Weren't babies this age supposed to be in the babbling stage?
"What's with your expressions? Are you looking down on me?"
Reborn's tone was very displeased. The chameleon lying on his hand was covered with a layer of light, then transformed into a pistol he held.
Immediately, Fury and Barton's expressions became even more remarkable, as if they'd seen God.
As for being pointed at with a pistol—why not get nervous? What kind of bad thoughts would a baby have?
What's more, Reborn was super cute!
"Looks like I've been underestimated!" Reborn seemed genuinely angry, his chubby face full of indignation.
Tsuna gently hugged him into his arms and said softly, "Reborn, don't cause trouble."
"Well, since you said so, I'll let them off." After speaking, he fell asleep in Tsuna's arms like a real baby, with bubbles appearing at the tip of his nose that expanded and contracted with his breathing.
Tsuna smiled knowingly, then raised his head to look at Fury and Barton. "Chrome and Mukuro are a bit special—they can't be treated separately..."
Saying that, he looked at Chrome.
Chrome lifted her eyeglasses slightly, revealing one purple eye and one red eye, with the kanji character "六" (six) in the blood-red pupil.
Seeing this pupil, Fury's mind subconsciously conjured the figure of Mukuro Rokudo, and his pupils couldn't help shrinking.
"Okay, the self-introductions are over. Let's get down to business!"
