Chapter 46 - Fruitful harvest

Upon hearing this, Uther pondered briefly, then nodded toward Rhodes, indicating his agreement.

Rhodes didn't stand on ceremony either, immediately jumping down into the pit. The pit was about four or five meters deep; normally, a person with the physical fitness of an Earthling would be half-crippled, if not dead, from such a fall.

But now, Rhodes' body was no longer that of an ordinary Earthling. After transmigrating to this world, Rhodes had discovered that his Hero attributes did not improve his physical fitness!

Instead, they boosted his Magic Power and the buffs applied to his troops. So why had his physical fitness increased? It was because he had used Holy Light.

Over a month since his transmigration, Rhodes noticed that every time he used Holy Light, a portion of the Holy Light would enter his body and subsequently strengthen his physique.

Rhodes had also asked Uther and the other Paladins about this matter, and everyone stated that it was a blessing from the Holy Light.

Most of the first generation of Paladins were actually Priests. The reason they possessed physical fitness far superior to warriors trained for many years was entirely due to the Holy Light's blessing.

Frequently summoning the Holy Light to baptize his body was indeed beneficial.

It must be said that the six fundamental forces of the Warcraft universe—the Life Force and the Holy Light Force—certainly possessed powerful methods!

"Since it is the Guardian's will, Rhodes, use my warhammer to eliminate it! The silver hand warhammer should be able to completely destroy this monster." Uther handed the silver hand warhammer to Rhodes.

Since he was now the master of the silver hand warhammer, Rhodes could temporarily use this Titan Keeper weapon under his authorization.

"Thank you, Lord Uther." Rhodes accepted Uther's silver hand warhammer without hesitation, then summoned Holy Light. The silver hand warhammer shone with a reddish-white radiance mixed with a hint of golden power.

Under Zakaz's fierce gaze, Rhodes swung the hammer head directly toward its skull. A powerful burst of Holy Light erupted, utterly crushing the monster before him.

The long-awaited notification sound rang in Rhodes' mind!

A glorious victory! You gained 12,000 experience points.

Congratulations! Your Hero has reached Level 6. Congratulations! Your Hero has reached Level 7, gaining two bonus attribute points.

This time, Rhodes did not allocate all points to Knowledge; instead, he put one point into Power and one point into Knowledge.

His Mana had reached 70 points, and coupled with his mana recovery methods—Blessing of Wisdom, Arcane Wisdom, and Meditation—it was sufficient.

With his Power reaching 4, the damage of his Magic Divine Arrow was 50 points. As for summoning Elementals, he could summon 8 of them, which translated to 4 Holy Light Elemental.

Your Eagle Eye took effect. You have learned the Shadow Magic Spell, Shadow Lash. Cost: 0.5 Mana. Effect: Forms a massive tentacle condensed from Shadow Power to whip and attack the enemy.

Zakaz was indeed formidable, but he had used very few Shadow Magic spells, relying mainly on physical combat. Of the few Shadow Magic spells he did cast, Rhodes managed to steal only one using Eagle Eye.

After leveling up twice consecutively, Rhodes gained two opportunities to upgrade skills. Currently, Rhodes possessed Intermediate Necromancy, Intermediate Eagle Eye, and Intermediate Earth Magic.

He hoped this time the options would be decent, and he wouldn't roll useless skills again; he had already rolled junk skills three times in a row previously.

Please choose between Advanced Earth Magic or Basic Wisdom Spell.

Advanced Earth Magic and Basic Wisdom Spell—this choice made Rhodes a bit hesitant.

Wisdom was an excellent thing, arguably a mandatory skill for any Magic Hero.

Even at the Basic level, it increased the Hero's maximum Mana by 25%. Intermediate provided 50%, and Advanced provided a 100% increase.

This increase was enormous. After pondering for a moment, Rhodes chose Wisdom Spell. When this skill appeared, whether in reality or in the game, it was an instant pick with no drawbacks.

The 25% increase in Mana immediately raised Rhodes' Mana pool to 87 points, which could break 92 points after casting Blessing of Wisdom. Only with this amount of Mana could he ensure his safety!

The second skill upgrade offered Advanced Eagle Eye and Basic Logistics. This time, a miracle from the game had appeared. If Logistics were in the game!

Rhodes would choose it almost without hesitation. In heroes of might and magic III, moving quickly was a huge advantage.

The advantage of Logistics was simply immense.

But in reality, Rhodes could store his troops within the system, and when combat was needed, he could move quickly via a mage's teleportation technique.

There was no opportunity to run around with troops in tow. Therefore, a miracle skill from the game was relatively useless in reality. Conversely, Eagle Eye, which offered a 60% chance to learn spells below Level 4 when upgraded to Advanced, was far more useful in the Azeroth World.

Rhodes chose to upgrade to Advanced Eagle Eye. Combined with the Fiery Eye artifact and his innate Eagle Eye specialty, he now had at least an 80% chance of stealing an opponent's spell.

He could practically steal a spell in every battle. What a pity, though! The other schools of magic he yearned for, and the Wisdom Spell, still hadn't appeared.

What followed next was the main event: Faceless One Zakaz alone provided 12,000 experience points.

Rhodes was highly anticipating the outdoor structures this guy might drop.

After defeating Faceless One Zakaz, Rhodes received two special outdoor rewards: an outdoor dwelling and a Basic Magic Sanctuary.

The outdoor dwelling was completely random, while the Basic Magic Sanctuary allowed Heroes carrying spellbooks to copy spells, effectively providing an extra opportunity to learn magic.

Rhodes immediately ordered Straker, who was in the town, to leave the city and check out the Basic Magic Sanctuary.

You have discovered a Basic Magic Sanctuary. To gain your protection, the apprentice priest inside has agreed to teach you a simple spell.

Congratulations! Your Hero Straker has learned the Level 1 Water Magic Spell, Cure!

Cost: 6 Mana. Effect: Removes negative magical effects from the selected friendly unit, restoring Power × 5 + 10 Health Points. Does not resurrect units.

Basic Water Magic reduces Mana cost by one point, Intermediate adds 20 Health Points, and Advanced Water Magic applies the effect to the entire unit stack.

Cure cannot resurrect. To be honest, this spell has a similar effect to a Paladin's Holy Light ability, and its cost is significantly higher.

However, the key is that it can dispel negative magical effects, which makes it very powerful.

Furthermore, unlike the Holy Light, this Cure spell can heal other non-living units, such as Undead, Elementals, Demons, and Golems.

Rhodes planned to test the effect of this spell later, then looked toward the outdoor troop reward: an extremely simple small tent, a Refugee Camp!

Holy crap! This is a god-tier building! Archangels! Black Dragons! Titans! Behemoths!

Although it was called a Refugee Camp, it randomly provided any unit type inside. If his luck was good, it would be unbeatable!
