Chapter 73 - Titan

[You have acquired a new wilderness building: [Magic Academy]!]

This counts as a good item. Every hero can visit it once, and by paying 1000 gold coins, they can choose to increase either one point of Strength or one point of Intellect.

Although it's not like the astrolabe or the Garden of Wisdom, which offer free Strength and Intellect boosts, the advantage here is the choice. Solmyr can reinforce his Intellect.

This allows his mana pool to cast Chain Lightning twice. As for Rhodes himself, he decided to spend 1000 system gold coins to raise his Strength from four to five, while the attribute point gained from the level-up was still added to Intellect.

Now his mana value is around 100 points, which is enough to cope with various situations. Even if he casts Thunderbolt Lightning, he can do it 10 times, dealing over 1,500 damage. With this insane damage, few characters can withstand it; it is absolutely a tool for securing kills.

Moreover, the summoned Holy Light Elemental and Fire Elemental will reach 5 and 10 respectively, and the duration of the spells cast will also increase significantly.

It counts as a decent item.

The magic scroll, combined with some high-level resources and this special building, the Magic Academy, are all quite good. At this moment, everyone still has one final Boss to face.

This is a powerful Faceless Ones with formidable strength. They had already dealt with one such monster in the Tomb of Tyr before, but although Zakaz was strong, it was in a weakened and severely injured state. This time, what they face will not be simple.

The two spells learned this time, Fire Arrow and Chaos Journey, both belong to Fel Magic. Following Arcane Energy, Holy Light, and Shadow Power, Rhodes has acquired a new principle for using Fel Magic.

However, the power of these two skills is not very strong. Fire Arrow is an Imp's skill; its power is slightly better than Frostbolt, barely qualifying as a mix of Fire Magic and Fel Magic.

The other skill, Word of Chaos, sounds very powerful. In Warcraft, this move can summon an Infernal, but the Succubus casts it by summoning a Fel Flame in the sky and then releasing a rain of attacks.

If your magic power is strong enough and the Strength bonus is sufficient, this move will be quite powerful when cast. For instance, if cast by beings at the level of Archimonde, Kil'jaeden, or Mannoroth, it would truly be world-destroying, and might even summon an Infernal.

But if your mana is insufficient, then, like the Warlock in the game, you can only use this move to pull mobs, dropping a few dozen or less than a hundred health points with a small rain of fire—it's completely a useless skill.

Both of these skills will receive a Strength bonus, but the bonus is limited.

However, the damage of one Fire Arrow is similar to Frostbolt, but it lacks subsequent damage over time, and it would expose the use of Fel Magic, making it essentially unusable. Or perhaps he could pretend to be a Warlock in the future? Wait, Warlocks don't seem to have this skill either. This damn thing is an Imp's skill.

What a hassle! Rain of Chaos is the same. Using it for area damage is less effective than a Death Coil, or if I want to hit a single target, isn't my Thunderbolt Lightning better?

It would have been better not to learn them, or to have learned the Succubus' Invisibility skill. That move could save his life, and Rhodes never minds having too many life-saving skills, but unfortunately, he didn't steal it.

At this moment, Jaina looked at Rhodes with a puzzled expression, even narrowing her eyes.

"Rhodes—you haven't acquired some miraculous spell again, have you? Or a special magic item?" Jaina's voice carried a subtle tremor, the result of a mixture of shock and intense curiosity.

"Hahaha, you guessed wrong this time. The Titan Keeper didn't give me any extra rewards this time. I estimate they will only come after eliminating the final Boss," Rhodes said with a chuckle.

He did receive rewards, but unfortunately, she can't use them!

Currently, the only thing that can strengthen the natives of Azeroth is the magic scroll. I can't take you into the Hero Castle, let you visit the Magic Sanctuary, or browse the Magic Guild to buy a spellbook, or even go to the Magic Academy to train for 1000 units of gold.

"What are you thinking, Jaina? I see your expression isn't quite right," Rhodes asked, looking at Jaina.

"You just said, 'How can mortal lightning compare to the Titan's thunder?' That was well said. You put on a great act!

If it weren't for that sentence, I wouldn't have guessed the truth!"

Jaina took a step forward, ignoring the surrounding Fire Elemental slowly dissipating and the Holy Light Elemental retracting its Holy Light. Her gaze swept over the silently standing Golden Man, passed over the three Genie Lords floating in the air with their buffing auras still shining steadily, and finally focused back on Rhodes' face.

"The magic scroll that summons Elemental Creatures, the Genie that grants powerful buffs, the Golden Man that is nearly magic immune, and this Thunderbolt Lightning whose power is enough to severely wound or even instantly kill high-ranking demons"—

"The miraculous medical tent, and the deliberate guidance for us to use Holy Light to transform Shadow, and you even intentionally had Uther use that magic scroll to summon a Holy Light Elemental.

Furthermore, the spatial magic ship you provided—all of this is not something an ordinary envoy can produce."

Jaina's tone intensified with every item she mentioned. "Every single time, it appeared out of thin air in your hand exactly when it was needed most: in the Lordaeron Royal Palace, in the Tomb of Tyr, at the Lordaeron docks, and even deep within the Violet Hold, where the magical defenses are the strictest!"

"Rhodes, did the Titan Keeper entrust you with even this kind of destructive attack spell? Or rather—" She raised her head, staring intently at Rhodes, and finally voiced the question that had lingered in her heart for a long time: "You are actually the Titan Keeper himself, aren't you? There is no Titan Envoy at all, right?

Otherwise, how could these incredibly powerful creations and magic scrolls appear in your hands 'so timely,' especially in a place like Dalaran, where magical defenses are so stringent? Tell me, Rhodes!"

Her tone carried an unprecedented seriousness and scrutiny. Under the dim light of the Violet Hold, her gaze seemed to pierce right through Rhodes.

"Tell me, Rhodes!" Jaina's voice suddenly rose, seemingly carrying the excitement of having discovered the truth.

"That Titan Keeper," does he live inside your body?

Or even more directly—you are simply the Titan Keeper himself in disguise? The so-called 'envoy' has been a play you directed yourself from beginning to end, hasn't it?"

"..." Rhodes.

Seriously? What the heck are you imagining, big sister? How did you come up with this? How could I possibly be the Titan Keeper?

"Don't try to deny it, Rhodes. I'm only saying this because I have absolute certainty. The talent you displayed when learning Holy Light Spells and when learning my Ice Spells—

It's like an adult who controls power learning trivial things. I made various assumptions and hypotheses and finally came to this conclusion." Jaina's breathing was heavy, and her heart rate accelerated.

"Jaina, your imagination is very rich. I understand your suspicion, but can I say you're overthinking it? Look at my body, feel this flesh and blood, or take out a dagger and cut my body to see if bright red blood flows out," Rhodes said with a sigh.

"Heh heh! If a powerful Titan genuinely intends to conceal something, how could mere mortals like us possibly discover the truth?

Rhodes, the items you produce are treasures even in the hands of the true Titan Keeper, and absolutely would not be given away easily.

I can keep your secret, but you must tell me the truth. Who exactly are you?" Jaina said with a serious expression.

Damn it, who could I be? I'm just a transmigrator! Your self-delusion leaves me speechless.

Rhodes wanted to flatly deny it, but he found himself unable to find a good reason, because in the future, after heading to the Kalimdor Continent, Rhodes would only be able to produce more good things.

"—Jaina, I assure you, I am just a chosen person.

A mortal bearing the Guardian's mission. My power, whether it's Holy Light or the Arcane Magic I just learned, was granted to me by the Guardian. I borrow their creations and execute their will, nothing more," Rhodes said.

"Lies. I told you not to deceive me again, Rhodes. This is your final warning," Jaina said.

You bastard, you're still pretending, aren't you? How could a Titan Keeper transmit objects remotely? You haven't even been to their territory; you've been with me this whole time. Where did you get these things?

You had no opportunity, so there is only one truth: these items were on you all along.

"Since you've discovered it, I won't hide it anymore. I am actually a genuine Titan," Rhodes said, coughing lightly twice.

Since you're willing to imagine things, I might as well let you imagine something bigger. Titan Keeper sounds too cheap; I'll just be a Titan directly.

"..." Jaina.

"You asked me to admit it, but when I tell you the truth, you don't believe it."

"Bastard! Stop joking! Titans are the legendary Creators. They, they are as vast as the world itself! They are the true deities who created this world, controlling the most powerful Arcane Magic and maintaining order. You, how could you possibly? How could you possibly?"

"Jaina, who said I was a normal Titan? You probably don't know that the Pantheon has been wiped out, and Sargeras betrayed everyone.

Aman'thul, the King of the Titans, was utterly defeated, and all the Titan physical bodies were destroyed by Sargeras," Rhodes said with a cough.

You insisted I pretend, so I might as well make it convincing.

"As you can see, I possess a human appearance and a Titan soul," Rhodes said, shrugging.

I'll say something even more outrageous; are you going to believe it or not?

"So, so you are a being with a human appearance and a Titan soul?"

"..." Rhodes.

I said something that ridiculous and you believe it? Damn it, this girl's intelligence is truly worrying!
