Chapter 75 - Treasure

The Griffin Treasure House is considered the best Treasure House in the wilderness because the creature it provides is called an Angel!

Although it is not the strongest among the Tier 7 units, the Archangel Leg Hair Bro, the Little Angel's combat power is still very strong, at least dealing with Ghost Dragons is not a big problem.

The Little Angel's Attack and Defense are both 20, while its damage is 50, the same as the Archangel. Its Health is 50 points less than the Archangel, reaching 200 Health, and its Speed is 12.

More importantly, Rhodes already had the idea of reinforcing Angels with Holy Light, and now he can perfectly realize it!

There are no creatures like Angels in the Azeroth World, but Paladins have a skill that manifests a pair of Holy Light Angel Wings behind them for combat.

Moreover, this Monster Treasure House is appearing for the first time. This is equivalent to encountering enemies in the wilderness on the map, and one must control the Hero to fight, eliminate the Griffins inside, to obtain Angels.

The Griffin's combat power is very strong, and it has Unlimited Counterattack. Encountering these guys in the wilderness is very troublesome, and their speed is also extremely fast.

However, eliminating the Royal Griffins or ordinary Griffins with the Skeleton Soldiers accumulated in his castle will be incredibly easy.

Now Rhodes is curious about what will happen after visiting this Treasure House, and what the combat method will be like.

Will it be the same Combat System as heroes of might and magic, or the same as the wilderness combat?

Rhodes believes it should be different from reality. This type of Monster Treasure House should use the same Combat Mode as in the heroes of might and magic III game.

When tackling the Monster Treasure House, Rhodes is considering whether to send his Straker or Solmyr. He now has over 600 Skeleton Soldiers, so even the highest-level Griffin Treasure House, producing 4 Angel versions, can be easily handled.

"It's finally done. Rhodes, what are you thinking about? Don't tell me the Titan Keeper sent you something again from afar." Jaina turned to look at Rhodes and said with a serious expression.

"What are you thinking? Nothing of the sort," Rhodes said speechlessly.

He hasn't gotten the Angels yet, and the Angels must undergo Holy Light Reinforcement before they can be taken out.

Will humans worship the Angels more, or trust the Naaru more? Rhodes was slightly curious.

"???" Three large question marks appeared above Jaina's head. So, did Rhodes not receive a reward this time? It made her feel slightly unaccustomed.

Or perhaps the reward was given in advance, which was the Thunderbolt Lightning magic scroll! This magic is quite powerful, even better than Summon Elemental in terms of practicality, and is considered a highly destructive spell.

"What are you thinking? Let's go. We can leave the Violet Hold now. All the threats here have been cleared out," Rhodes said, patting Jaina's shoulder.

"Oh! Alright, we'll take you out! But can I, can I borrow that Thunderbolt Lightning magic scroll to study?" Jaina asked.

This magic is simply too useful! And it's not the Fire type she isn't proficient in; it should be pure Arcane Magic summoning lightning, which gave Jaina a strong desire to study it.

Speaking of which, the Magic Divine Arrow that Rhodes frequently uses, which is fired by pure Arcane energy, seems more suitable for her research, but unfortunately, there is no similar scroll for her to use. Otherwise, the Magic Divine Arrow would actually be more practical.

"Of course, you can study this magic scroll, who are we to each other? Take it," Rhodes said with a smile.

Rhodes naturally felt embarrassed to ask Jaina for favors. When they first met, Jaina generously taught him a large number of Frost Spells, and she helped Rhodes a lot during the subsequent journey.

Whether it was Stratholme, the Tomb of Tyr, or the Capital City of Lordaeron, and this time helping him clear the Violet Hold.

In the future, the two of them will also fight side-by-side when heading to Kalimdor, so studying the Thunderbolt Lightning magic scroll is absolutely fine.

Jaina helped him greatly, so Rhodes naturally wouldn't be as ruthless as he was toward Kael'thas and King Terenas.

Jaina heard this and revealed a satisfied smile. This was more like it. If Rhodes had asked her for compensation, it would have hurt their feelings too much!

During this period, her assistance to Rhodes could be described as meticulous.

"Hehe! I can't just take your item for free, so how about this! I'll reward you with one date with me!" Jaina said, rolling her eyes.

You gave it away for free, but I can't just take it for free! So I'll just reward you a little.

Holy crap! Rhodes was shocked when he heard this. Are you kidding me? The reward is one date with you!

Damn it! Don't I value my life? Kefu'na!

"What kind of expression is that? Is dating me such a grievance for you?" Jaina's face immediately darkened as she spoke.

"You misunderstood. What I mean is, we've known each other for so long, we're old acquaintances, and we usually go shopping together, which is pretty much like dating!

So don't be a stranger. You can study the magic scroll for as long as you want. Anyway, you're with me, just return it to me when I need it," Rhodes said.

"No! I won't take your item for nothing. You go back tonight and get some good rest to recover your strength.

Tomorrow, accompany me shopping in Dalaran, and I'll take you to taste Dalaran's specialty food. It's decided," Jaina finished, not giving Rhodes a chance to refute, and turned to leave.

"Wait a moment, wait a moment, can we discuss this?" Rhodes.

Damn it, if I had known, I would have made an exorbitant demand earlier. Why did I pretend to be so generous?

What the heck is this, being entangled by Kengdie'na?

In the end, Rhodes reluctantly returned to Antonidas' mage Tower with Jaina. It was already late at night outside. Rhodes and Jaina had spent an entire day clearing the monsters in the Violet Hold.

Archmage Antonidas commended the two of them and counted it as a mage Tower cleanup mission completed by both of them for the Dalaran Government.

After chatting with Antonidas for a while, Jaina and Rhodes returned to their respective rooms to rest.

"Rhodes, want to come to my room to chat?"

"Ahem! No need! I'm exhausted today. We have plenty of time to chat tomorrow. Tonight, I'll first look at the Thunderbolt Lightning magic scroll, and I'll give it to you tomorrow," Rhodes said, waving his hand guiltily, and quickly closed his door.

Looking at the closed door, Jaina was speechless. She had indeed intended to test him just now, but Rhodes' reaction made her unhappy.

I wasn't trying to talk about anything else with you; I just wanted to discuss magic, your miraculous troop types, and magic items.

What does it mean to be so scared! You'll pay for this tomorrow. I won't stop shopping until you're completely exhausted!

Returning to his room, Rhodes sighed helplessly. What bad luck! He was actually noticed by the world-famous Kefu Girl of Azeroth!

Should I just pretend to be sick tomorrow? Or find some other excuse, such as an upset stomach or dizziness.

Accompanying a woman shopping is truly suffering!

I'd rather spend the whole day grinding Dungeons, okay?

Sitting on the bed, Rhodes clicked on the Hero Interface and began contemplating who should fight this time.

Solmyr's Chain Lightning is very powerful, but if it is used during combat on the Treasure House terrain, it will definitely cause friendly fire.

However, Solmyr has now visited the Magic Guild inside the city and the Elementary Magic Sanctuary outside the city, so he can also cast the Area-of-Effect Damage Spell, Death Wavel!

Or he could equip the newly acquired Thunderbolt Lightning scroll. Two shots of Thunderbolt Lightning should be able to directly wipe out one stack of Griffins.

Moreover, Solmyr will be following him out in the future, and needs more levels and experience. Rhodes estimated that after clearing this Treasure House, Solmyr should be able to level up to 2.

After thinking it over, Rhodes immediately split his troops, transferring all 600+ Skeleton Soldiers to Solmyr. As for the remaining troop types—Solmyr's innate Stone Golems, Little Diudiu, and Gargoyles—they were left in the city.

When the Undead Race goes to war, the Skeleton Soldier is the strongest.

Rhodes equipped the Thunderbolt Lightning magic scroll onto Solmyr, and then directly controlled him to leave the city and visit the Griffin Treasure House.

You have discovered a nest guarded by Griffins. Do you want to initiate an attack?

Rhodes chose the checkmark button without hesitation. Then, the system interface changed, and a classic heroes of might and magic battle screen appeared.

Familiar music sounded! It made Rhodes' blood boil. This was the heroes of might and magic battlefield he was familiar with! Chessboard-style grid troops.

Five stacks of Griffins, four of which were ordinary Griffins, and one stack was white-necked Royal Griffins!

The number was about 25 per stack. This time there were a total of 100 Griffins, which counted as a tough battle!

Due to their speed, the white Royal Griffins initiated the attack first. With one move, 20 of his Skeleton Soldiers died, and the Skeleton Soldiers counterattacked, killing 15 Royal Griffins.

Then he endured attacks from the remaining four stacks of Griffins, and finally, it was Rhodes' turn to act. First was the magic round. Rhodes chose to have Solmyr cast Death Wavel, an Area-of-Effect Damage Spell, killing two to three Griffins in every stack present.

After that, instead of controlling the Skeleton Soldiers to counterattack, he moved them to the upper left corner of the map. He could exploit a position here where only two Griffins could attack him at a time, preventing the computer-controlled Griffins from reaching the Skeleton Soldiers.

The rest of the battle was quite boring: Skeleton Soldiers were attacked, Skeleton Soldiers counterattacked, Griffins were attacked, Griffins counterattacked, and Solmyr cast spells!

After losing over 280 Skeleton Soldiers, Rhodes successfully took down 100 Griffins.

What a fierce battle!

But he finally achieved victory. Over 100 Griffins were indeed troublesome! Mainly because these creatures possess the Unlimited Counterattack skill, and even ordinary Griffins can counterattack twice!

Rhodes had no way to split the Skeleton Soldiers into six stacks to Bait Counterattacks, so he could only choose to cast spells, position the Skeleton Soldiers strategically, and engage in a frontal confrontation.
