Chapter 51 - Ch. 51 - The Wingman

Disneyland instantly became a major attraction throughout the capital of Arendelle. Word of mouth passed around and now, every corner of Arendelle has already heard of the greatest magical wonder that exists only in Arendelle.

It's not a lie to say that it's an explosion. After having their enjoyment with the horse carousel, Henry proceeded to introduce the rest of the rides and to his surprise, even this far back in time and era, the roller coaster instantly became a massive hit compared to the others.

It's just like in his previous world where the Roller Coaster is one if not, the most famous ride in an amusement park. Always filled with customers, extremely long lines that last indefinitely until closing time.

'No matter what era. Humans always enjoy the thrill of risks.' Henry shook his head with a chuckle. Now that all the rides are filled and occupied, Henry silently left.

There's no need to assign people to manage each ride. All of them are 'alive' in a sense. With its sufficient intelligence, it would be capable of learning and adapting such as the opening and closing time, reconstructing itself back once it got damaged, and maybe someday in the future, it would be able to produce voices to better assist customers.

"They all look so happy." Henry's thoughts were interrupted by Elsa as she stepped to his side from behind.

Henry shrugged, "Thanks to you. You made it possible." He then turned to her and smirked, "I say this is a very successful first date, minus the traumatic flight earlier."

Elsa raised an eyebrow, "What are you implying here?" She felt that smirk eerily familiar.

"Shouldn't there be a reward from this?" As if that wasn't enough as a clue, Henryl ogled Elsa's pink supple lips. It didn't take long for her to notice this and when she did, she pouted while playfully punching his steel-hard abdomen.

"Didn't I give you one already? You're such a pervert!"

"Can't help it. You're addictive."

That compliment immediately earned flustered cheeks from the ice princess. She fidgeted a few times before whispering, "Later…"

That was it. Henry rubbed his palms together, acting like a true pervert.

"Elsa? Henry? What are you two doing here?" All of a sudden, Elsa's back stiffened as her sister's familiar voice rang behind her.

Henry turned around and saw both Anna and Kristoff walking side by side, their fingers seemed to brush against each other for a brief moment.

Before Elsa could answer her, Henry already beat her to it and unlike her, he has no intention to hide anything, "We're having a date."

"A date?" Both Anna and Kristoff tilted their heads and said in unison.

Henry grabbed Elsa's shoulder and pulled her close to him until her face was near his chest, "It means we're going out. As lovers…" The moment the bomb was dropped, the two gasped in surprise.

"Already?" Anna immediately launched herself forward and started shaking Elsa, "Spill the details!"

"S-Stop shaking me, Anna!" Elsa found herself getting dizzy under Anna's care.

On the other hand, Henry clasped Kristoff's shoulders, "How about you? Still mulling whether you're worthy of her or not?" Judging from the shocked look on Kristoff's face, Henry's guess hit the spot.

His eyes darted towards Anna and seeing that she was busy chatting with Elsa, he leaned forward and whispered, "H-How did you know? Was it obvious?" He feared that if Henry could see through him, Anna could do so too.

Henry chuckled, "I was just making a guess. It was your reaction that told me the answer." Kristoff shyly scratched his cheek.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, there's no point hiding it from Henry, "Sigh, you're right. I'm still searching for a good-paying job. I've been coaching for a while but the pay is not that good especially since my carriage lacks an appeal compared to others…"

"Are you serious right now? You have someone who's been waiting for you to confess your love to her, someone who can buy your entire lifetime and it won't even be enough to faze her, and yet here you are having a problem in terms of coins?"

Kristoff sighed deeply, "You don't understand. You're a prince and you never had any problem with money. It's a matter of pride for me, I want to be the one to provide for her, not the other way around."

The former ice cutter found himself unsettled by the dull stare that Henry was giving her, "…Tell me you're joking…" Kristoff shook his head in response.

Rubbing the bridge of his nose, Henry knew he needed to help this friend of his before it's too late, "You don't seem to fully understand your situation. Anna likes you, she wants you to make the first move. And yet here you are, avoiding it like a plague all because of pride." He then pointed his finger at his chest, "Tell me, is this pride of yours gonna help you once she falls out of love with you and finds someone better?"

Knowing that there's a man named Prince Hans exist in this world, Henry can't let Anna dance in his palm. He gotta do something somehow.

Thankfully, his words seemed to shock the man as Kristoff imagined Anna being with another man aside from him, "…S-She's not gonna do that, is she?"

"Oh, she very much can. How long has it been since you two met and look at how she feels about you since then. So unless you have a cuckold fetish, you're not gonna like it when she becomes smitten with another man."

Seeing that the man is still reluctant but already on the verge of breaking, Henry struck the iron while it's hot, "Do you love her?"

There was no hesitation on Kristoff's face as he nodded his head, "Very much."

Henry crossed his arms and stared directly into his eyes, "Good. Then make your choice. Love or Pride."

Finally, a flash of realization appeared in his eyes as Kristoff whispered under his breath, "…Love."

Henry grinned and slapped his shoulder, "Now you sound like a man. Go ahead, chase that love before it's too late." If this were a video game, Henry might've unlocked an achievement titled 'Wingman 4 Life!'

Kristoff gave him a nod of gratitude before turning to look at the busy Anna with resolve.

Back in Atlantis, it has been a few days since Ariel was last kidnapped and saved by their father, and now their youngest sister is finally showing signs of recovery and being back to the way she was before the pirate encounter, "How are you doing, Ariel?"

Currently, Ariel was sitting in front of a familiar mirror, brushing her wild red hair with another familiar comb. These were the first gifts that Henry gave her and ever since, she has treated them as if they're the greatest treasures in the world.

Hearing her sister, Attina's concern, Ariel stopped her brushing and stared at herself, "I miss him. I miss Henry…"

There was a soft smile on Attina's lips as she scooted over and gave Ariel a side hug, "I'm sure you do. You've been uttering nothing but his name during these past few days and even Dad had to give up trying to stop you."

Ariel pouted, "That's because he won't let me see him."

Attina rolled her eyes and shook her head, "You know, if I had been in your place when you were taken by that pirate, I might've grown to hate all humans like dad."

"That's because you guys haven't seen the good side in humans yet. If you do, especially dad, he might've had a change of mind."

Ariel turned her head to her and tilted them, "Why are you even here? Did I lose track of time again and is dinner already?"

"No silly! I came here to fetch you. Dad is calling for all of us." Attina corrected her with a chuckle.

There was horror on Ariel's face, "Did I do something wrong again?"

Attina pulled her head into a hug and replied, "Of course not. If he does, don't worry, your big sister is here to protect you, alright? I won't let that big bad man hurt you!" She spoke as if the person in the topic isn't their literal father.

"Come on, let's go."

———

They reached the throne field and there they met with the other sisters. Most of them simply cast worried glances towards Ariel but when they saw her happy expression and the shake of Attina's head, they all secretly sighed in relief.

No one knows how worried sick they are for their youngest sister. Ever more so when she kept mentioning the name of a human even in their father's presence. They don't know whether to call her brave or an idiot but still, it worked its wonders and now even Triton had given up.

In the high throne sat King Triton, as majestic as ever. His long white beard and muscular stature would make anyone confused whether they're looking at an old man or not.

"Dad, you called us?" As the oldest among the siblings, Aquatta took it upon herself to be some sort of representative for her sisters. Be it meetings like this or anything that concerns the sisters, she would always be there for them—to take their side of course.

King Triton first scanned them with his eyes, his stare lasting longer on Ariel's figure before he finally spoke, "During these past few days, I've come to a realization that I've been neglecting something for far too long." The grip on his trident tightened, "Something that you are all born with and yet I refused to reveal to you all."

The sisters shared confused expressions as Aquatta asked, "We don't seem to understand, Dad."

With a deep breath, King Triton clarified, "As the son of the God of the Sea, Poseidon. I inherit his divine rule over the ocean, albeit weaker. I am what you may call a Minor God of the Sea. I help my father manage his domain and I am known by the others as 'The Messenger of the Sea'. That's why you are all naturally born the same as me."

With that, he dropped the bomb, "You are all Demigoddesses. You possess the relatively weaker divine rule over the sea around you. You can command the ocean, rule the marine creatures, and cause catastrophic events that could drown entire islands."

"You are all my daughters and hence, every single one of you possesses the ability to manipulate the ocean and perhaps, many more."

There were various gasps from the sisters, especially Aquatta who has been living as King Triton's daughter the longest, and yet she has only known about this now.

"But how? We didn't feel anything. We once tried to replicate what you do and we can't produce the same powers as you do…What makes it different now?"

King Triton gave her eldest daughter a look of apology as he revealed, "I locked away all your innate powers, keeping only the convenient one which is to heal and recover from everything once you are touched by the ocean."

"…We had…gifts all along? Why are you telling us this now?" There was dejection in Aquatta's voice as she asked this.

"That's because of Ariel. I realized that if only I had taught you all about your powers sooner and hadn't locked them away, perhaps everything that happened wouldn't have transpired. I thought I was enough to protect all of you from any harm. It turns out, I was wrong. Very wrong." A hint of melancholy reverberated from his voice, evidence of his extreme regret over his past action.

Just as the atmosphere turned silent and solemn, one voice stood out as Ariel excitedly asked, "When are we practicing?"

King Triton was surprised that his daughter seemed joyful about the news and didn't even lament the fact that he took away something that should've belonged to them since their birth.

"Of course, it's gotta be Ariel." Attina chuckled which caused a chain reaction and now all the other sisters abandoned their solemn expressions and they're laughing at Ariel's unique reaction over such a supposedly sensitive matter.

Perhaps they could learn from her. To stop overthinking things and just focus on what's in front of them. They were originally about to get mad at their father for keeping such a deep secret from them all along but now thanks to Ariel, it vanished.

Even King Triton had a small smile on his face as he answered Ariel, "We'll start now. Before the week ends, I want all of you to have the basic understanding and control over your powers. Of course, I will be your teacher."

Unbeknownst to his daughters, there is a reason why he's doing this and he's doing it specifically for Ariel.

'I hope this time, you'll forgive me.' He muttered to himself, hoping that his idea would be enough as an apology for Ariel.
