Chapter 41 - Chapter Forty-One: “I Am Fully Charged”

Chapter Forty-One: "I Am Fully Charged"

Volume One: "The Nature of the Devil Does Not Change"

A crushing, dark aura suddenly erupted from Scarlet King, terrifying Lin Yuan and the disciples who had been crushed moments earlier. Scarlet King turned his cold gaze toward Lin Yuan as darkness gathered around him.

His appearance shifted once more—into a military form. He wore a military cap, black clothing, a long black coat, black gloves, and a black cloth that completely covered his head. His body grew taller, reaching nearly 187 centimeters. He resembled a living black hole, yet a mocking smile formed beneath the cloth, sharp white teeth faintly visible—even from Lin Yuan's position, clearly seen by the surrounding disciples.

Then, the destructive aura vanished.

At that moment, the System appeared, displaying Titan King's expression:

"( ̄▽ ̄ )"

"degrahc ylluf ma I"

Another system screen appeared in front of Lin Yuan—the original system—instantly translating the words.

System:

"Translation: I am fully charged."

Lin Yuan stared in shock, excitement flooding his face as sweat ran down his forehead.

"What are these updates, Scarlet King?"

Scarlet King replied calmly:

"After obtaining the Mind of Darkness and fully merging with it, my clothing evolved to conceal my dark aura. That is their original purpose—to prevent the Greater Concepts from detecting my location or my level of power. My transformation has also evolved and is now directly linked to the System. The System now has two personalities: the primary system, and Titan King."

Lin Yuan froze for a moment, then smiled faintly.

"Well then… shall we explore the sect?"

Scarlet King shrugged without objection, and the two began walking through the sect's vast marketplace, bustling with disciples. As they passed the stalls, Scarlet King noticed a spear that looked fairly decent.

The spear was golden, sharply tipped, with a brown rope tied to its end.

Scarlet King turned to Lin Yuan.

"Let's buy you a new weapon. The one Ikalat and I gave you has become impractical now that we're separated."

He approached the seller—a young man with purple hair and plain clothing—and asked directly:

"How much for this spear?"

The merchant raised three fingers.

"Thirty blue primordial stones."

Scarlet King scoffed.

"That's outrageously expensive. I won't buy it. I'll find someone else—you're clearly trying to scam me."

He turned around and raised his voice:

"Disciples! This man is a scammer! He's selling a worn-out, worthless weapon for thirty primordial stones! A fraud—don't buy from him!"

Immediately, suspicious gazes turned toward the merchant. Whispers spread rapidly.

"He really does look like a scammer…"

"Yeah… that spear isn't worth that much."

Scarlet King calmly turned back to the merchant.

"So—how much are you selling it for now?"

The merchant snapped angrily:

"Impossible! You ruined my reputation—why would I sell to you?!"

Scarlet King gripped the merchant's shoulder and released a terrifying killing intent. The merchant's legs gave out, and he visibly wet himself.

"No one will buy from you anymore," Scarlet King said coldly. "So sell it to me cheaply… before I—"

The merchant collapsed to his knees, trembling violently.

"Take it! Take it for free! Just stay away from me—please!"

Scarlet King took the spear. His blood-red eyes lingered on the merchant, who curled up on the ground, crying like a terrified child.

Lin Yuan swallowed hard.

(Damn… what a terrifying devil.)

He stammered aloud:

"W-Why did you do that? We could've just walked away."

Scarlet King laughed softly, a demonic edge in his voice.

"We gained the greatest benefit. A free weapon—and authority within the sect. We've established ourselves as troublemakers. No one likes trouble. They'll either obey us… or stay far away."

Lin Yuan glanced around. Nearby disciples were trembling; some had even wet themselves under the pressure of Scarlet King's killing intent. Strangely, Lin Yuan felt nothing—because the intent wasn't directed at him. As an ally, he was unaffected.

The surrounding disciples hurried away, whispering in fear.

Scarlet King tossed the spear to Lin Yuan.

"Come on. Let's keep exploring."

They moved deeper into the sect, passing the metal-forging workshop, the pill-refining division, and finally arriving at the sect's ranking arena. Scarlet King stopped and spoke calmly:

"This is where we raise our standing within the sect. We'll build a faction, dominate the other disciple groups, and bring them under our control."

He glanced at Lin Yuan.

"But you won't enter. I'll go alone. I'm far stronger than you, Lin Xiao."

The arena loomed before them—silent, waiting.

"Power Stones + rating, please"
