"You must be Monkeyface," Elena said lightly. "The computer expert. I've been wanting to meet you as well."
She extended her hand.
"H—Hou Liang," he replied in a low voice. He reached out, intending a quick, polite shake.
Instead, his hand was seized hard.
His brows furrowed as he looked up.
Elena's eyes were cold.
He tried to pull back. She didn't let go.
"Uh… my hand—"
She leaned closer and whispered something into his ear.
Whatever she said detonated behind his eyes.
Shock.
Disbelief.
Then outright horror.
She released his hand and smiled brightly. "What an honor to finally meet you in person, Mr. Hou. Thank you for your support."
Hou Liang felt his scalp go numb. Cold sweat soaked his back. His hand throbbed where she had gripped it, but he didn't dare complain.
In his mind, Elena Zhang was no longer just a beautiful celebrity.
She was a massive dragon, peering down at him with amusement, daring him to act foolishly.
