I was about to open my free clinic when my phone went crazy—notification after notification flooding my screen.
[Boss, are we seriously backing out of the Shaw family deal? That's millions down the drain!]

Irritated, I shot back: [I showed up. Security blocked me.]

[That's my fault, Boss! Heading over now. Also, there's this charity event tonight...]
I cleaned my hands, cutting him short. [Not interested. I don't deal with people who only chase money.]
Flynn knew better than to argue. One wrong step and I'd kick him out of the team without blinking.
"But Boss, you've got to be there tonight," he typed desperately, pacing his place. "Heard Thornveil Labs might show."
