Irina's POV
I had no intention of wasting another moment on Louise and Caitlyn. Right as I prepared to act, something tugged at my sleeve. Turning, I discovered Tilda had regained consciousness.
Tilda's gaze fixed on me, her eyes barely flickering, while fragmented, faint sounds emerged from her throat.
I dropped to my knees instantly, grasped her hand, and moved closer. "Tilda, stay calm. I'm going to save you," I whispered.
Witnessing this, Caitlyn and Louise shared a look of alarm. 'If Tilda survives, that money disappears forever,' they thought.
Tilda noticed Caitlyn and Louise hovering behind me, immediately understanding their motives. 'So money's their game? They won't get what they're after,' she realized.
Breathing raggedly, she summoned her remaining strength. "When I die, all rights to my work transfer to Irina," she whispered.
After speaking those words, she lost consciousness again.
The ICU's heart monitor erupted in frantic beeping, alarms filling the space.
