Arlene's POV
"Fine," both twins burst into giggles as they wrestle over Rockford's sweatshirt during their pretend bath game.
I slip out quickly, checking that the hallway remains empty. Racing to grab my phone, I fumble with the unlock screen.
"Oh," I nearly leap from my skin when Hannah materializes in the kitchen doorway, cell phone clutched in her palm. "I need to head downstairs for some deliveries. Everything alright up here?"
"Yeah, the twins want to hear that lava song while they bathe. Left my phone behind," I wave the device awkwardly.
"That track's catchy," she remarks, heading toward the door. I hurry back to the bathroom, sealing the door softly behind me.
"What should I do?" I mutter to myself.
"Mommy, do we get naked again?" Rockford bursts into laughter. "Is this part of the game?"
"What? No. Stay dressed," I insist.
"Aw," they both whine in disappointment.
"I need to make this call," I breathe quietly.
"Call who?" Rockford questions.
