Outside the gates of Konoha Village,
A tall man with long white hair reaching his waist, wearing a forehead protector inscribed with the character "Oil," red markings under his eyes, wooden clogs, and armor-like guards on both hands, gazed at Konoha Village.
A hint of nostalgia appeared in his eyes, but then he thought of the current situation and muttered, "Uchiha?"
Thinking this, he strode into Konoha. Seeing the Village still as prosperous as before, the man's eyes showed relief.
"Hey! What are you doing!?"
A commotion suddenly arose nearby. Jiraiya looked over curiously and saw a drunken man sadly smashing the contents of a store outside.
The shop owner was furious and tried to stop him, but the man started throwing objects at him.
Pedestrians were drawn in, gathering in front of the shop to watch the spectacle. Yet, not a single person stepped forward to help.
Jiraiya squeezed into the crowd, his expression displeased. He had just finished marveling at Konoha's prosperity, and now this happened.
"Hey, Big Brother, why isn't there a Ninja here to handle this kind of thing?" Jiraiya asked the person squeezed next to him.
The man he asked sized up Jiraiya, then said angrily, "You must be from another Village, Big Brother? This is happening because of those damned Uchiha, isn't it?! They resigned from The Guard Squad duties, and now nobody is managing these issues!"
His voice was not quiet, and everyone in the crowd heard it.
Someone immediately chimed in, "Exactly! It's because of those irresponsible Uchiha Ninja! Now they won't even do Ninja missions!"
"That's right! I think they're useless except for having big tempers! Since they won't even do The Guard Squad job, we should just kick them out!"
The mood of the crowd instantly shifted, and they all began to verbally attack the Uchiha.
Jiraiya froze on the spot. The Uchiha resigned, and now no one is in charge? And why should they still be in charge if they resigned?
It seemed the relationship between the Village and the Uchiha was more severe than he had imagined.
The incident only ended when the man collapsed onto the ground, and the shop owner grumbled about taking him to jail.
At the Hokage Building, Jiraiya looked at the structure with mixed feelings.
"Old man, long time no see!"
Jiraiya forcefully pushed open the door, grinning as he looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"Jiraiya!" Although he had already received news of Jiraiya's return, the moment Hiruzen Sarutobi saw him, his heart felt much more settled.
Jiraiya looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi, speechless. The Old man before him was vastly different from the teacher he remembered; he was now a white-haired Old man, showing none of the demeanor of the Ninjutsu Professor from back then.
"Old man, you've aged!" Jiraiya said, sounding both emotional and regretful, but mostly sad.
"Alas, you might have to stay a little longer this time," Hiruzen Sarutobi said with a touch of bitterness.
"Is it the Uchiha?" Jiraiya grew serious.
"It's not just them, but the outside Villages too."
"Outside Villages?" Jiraiya had been operating within the Land of Fire for some time and hadn't noticed major international changes.
"You don't know yet, Danzo is dead."
"What!?" Jiraiya slapped his head in disbelief, wondering if he was dreaming.
After receiving confirmation, Jiraiya finally understood the current situation.
Paper cannot wrap fire. Even if the news of Danzo's death could be concealed temporarily, he didn't only operate within Konoha. Once he failed to appear for a long time, everyone would quickly learn the news.
At that point, with Danzo dead, Root annihilated, and the Uchiha hostile—Jiraiya inhaled sharply—the probability of outside Villages attacking was almost one hundred percent.
"Old man, what exactly happened with the Uchiha?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi recounted how Uchiha Itachi and Danzo secretly plotted the clan massacre, how the massacre failed, Uchiha Itachi's death, and Uchiha Kaede revealing his Mangekyo.
Hearing this, Jiraiya was somewhat terrified. What in the world was going on?
"Old man, are you saying that Uchiha Kaede opened the legendary Mangekyo Sharingan when he was only thirteen?" Jiraiya found it hard to believe. Since when was the Mangekyo so easy to awaken?
Hiruzen Sarutobi nodded with difficulty.
"Alright, just stay in Konoha Village for now! Don't go near the Uchiha area." Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't want Jiraiya to ask any more questions; any more and he would be exposed.
Jiraiya stared at him for a moment, then jumped directly out the window.
Uchiha Kaede transformed into the appearance of an ordinary person, leisurely observing the changes in Konoha.
He also heard that the people of Konoha were already experiencing discomfort due to the departure of The Uchiha Guard Squad.
However, they dared not blame the Hokage, so naturally, they could only vent all their anger onto the Uchiha.
Regarding these idiots, Feng Ye was quite interested to see their reaction when the Uchiha eventually left Konoha and lived better lives than them.
"Hmm?" Feng Ye stopped, his brows furrowed, looking at the white-haired man loitering outside a Hot Spring Resort not far away.
Jiraiya? Has he returned already?
Regarding this master of the protagonist in the original work, Feng Ye honestly didn't have a good impression. Even if he was fine regarding the greater good, his personal character was lacking.
Saying it was "lacking" was putting it mildly; one could say his character was utterly despicable.
This guy represented the "yellow" (pornography) in the triad of pornography, gambling, and drugs. The famous Icha Icha Paradise in Hokage was his masterpiece. And how did this book come about?
It came from his so-called "research," which involved peeping on people bathing. Whenever he thought of this, he felt a little sympathy for the men of Konoha and the Land of Fire—their daughters and wives were peeped upon, yet they couldn't catch the culprit because he was powerful.
Feng Ye even felt that Orochimaru was slightly more straightforward than him. At least Orochimaru was evil but not disgusting, and all his subordinates were fiercely loyal to him.
"Ahhh! There's a pervert!!" Sure enough, screams soon rang out.
A group of newly dressed women rushed out, followed by a lecherous man sprinting ahead, his face twisted in a vulgar smile.
"Stop!" Kurenai Yuhi, who was eating nearby, heard the commotion. Knowing a pervert had peeped on women bathing, she angrily tried to stop him.
The two ran along the road.
But Jiraiya was running extremely fast. Just as Kurenai was about to throw a Kunai, Jiraiya, having reached a corner, bit his finger and slammed his hand onto the ground.
A giant Toad appeared. With a push from its legs, the Toad leaped onto the rooftop and vanished in a few bounds.
"That is!?" Kurenai Yuhi was only a Chunin, but she was not without knowledge. Seeing the giant Toad, she recognized the person as Jiraiya, one of the Sannin.
"Lord Jiraiya, how could he be this kind of person?" Kurenai Yuhi murmured, the image of the Sannin shattered.
Jiraiya, sitting proudly atop the Toad, suddenly saw a flash of lightning streak past the Toad's eyes. The creature let out a miserable cry and vanished in a puff of smoke.
"Ahhh!!!" Jiraiya felt the space beneath his butt disappear, and he tumbled down.
"Who is it!?" Jiraiya, who had rolled twice on the ground, asked vigilantly.
A masked person appeared in Jiraiya's line of sight.
