LUSHII CH. 5: " COME ALONG."
Adam and the girls wondered about in the woods for a while without any real sense of direction of where they were headed.
The netherwood was dark and quiet with the occasional strange sound from an animal scurrying away. Dusty beams of light fell on our trio's skin like a light rain.
Adam was leading the way and walking ahead not struggling much getting through messy overgrown terrain of plant life. The girls followed behind facing a lot more trouble just walking compared to Adam.
"Hey Lush you know you can just fly through this right?" said Adam as he gave Lucy a strange confused look.
"Huh! Really i can do that? asked Lucy timidly.
"Yea totally, kinda strange that a 'galactic history and sorcery' student doesn't know that," Adam chuckled as he said this.
Lucy didn't answer and Adam assumed she was just doing pretty bad in class.
The massive trees dwarfed the group as they tried to get over a massive felled pine looking like tree. Lucy asked Adam about the whole flying deal from earlier and how it worked.
Adam explained all you really have to do is imagine it and just do it. Anybody awakened to their ether can do almost anything even without proper training though talent is a factor but as long as you can imagine it you can probably do it as long as it falls under 'Nerissa's law'.
"Um okay!" And with that Lucy made a little jump and closed her eyes.
She scrunched up her face in anticipation and when she opened her eyes in disbelief she was flying.
Well more like floating over all the fauna.
"Um hey Adam what about you know like moving forwad."
"All you have to do is just think about it, it's that simple."
As Adam helped out Abbie walking through the foliage Lucy clumsily pushed through just slightly above their heads.
After a while once getting over another felled tree that was covered in moss Adam noticed a group of out of place looking bushes.
"I think those are it, over here these short little pushes."
"I'm pretty sure they are 'ethrin grapes' they don't have that much sugar in them but they'll do."
Adam picked a bunch of little pale white grapes and handed them to Abbie.
Abbie gave them a strange look then jeeted them down her mouth.
They tasted sour at first but had a really deep thick sweet flavour after.
"So what happens now," asked Abbie.
"Those kind are weaker so we just wait a while."
20 odd so minutes later and still nothing.
The group got tired of waiting and had sat down in a little triangle on patch of grass their backs facing each other.
"How much longer is this gonna take… did yours take this long Lush? asked Abbie a bit bored.
"No it was kinda instant actually," she answered.
"Well you have to remember sugar is a drug depending on its amount it might work differently,"–Adam
"Adam quick question you said you broke up with Lily right," asked Lushii.
"Yea i did say that."
"So you used Abbie as a rebound."
"Totally!... Wait no! No! Of course not."
Adam answered that a little absent mindedly.
"Wait what!" said Abbie angrily.
"You know what i meant… like you know…"–Adam.
BAAAMM!! Adam got blown back by a massive pale release of energy that splashed out of Abbie.
"The fuck i guess it worked," said Lucy as she laughed at Adam.
Adam got up a whole 10 meters away rubbing his head. "Sure did, your kinda smart Lushii you got her heated so it would work faster."
Abbie was now floating in the air not to high though kinda just barely levitating. A weak pale grey aura was flooding out of her, her eyes didn't split like Lucy's which was a sign if you already couldn't tell she was significantly weaker.
"Um so what now?" asked Abbie, her hair a flutter in the motion of her aura.
"Well now is the boring stuff," answered Adam "I'm gonna teach you the basics of ether–control and sorcery as regulated and instructed by the "ministry of mana."
The "ministry of mana" controls amd safeguards all knowledge related to ether, sorcery and the farworlds as part if the USC government, though its still a part of the 'golden moon order' and not at all truly controlled by the Camerians.
Information about ether and sorcery is actively kept away from the public. Apart from "the moon", ministry, old earth families and a few unregulated mages in the galaxy nobody really knows what 'ether' is or what it does but the public does know a few things.
Like about illicit sugar and the god emperor but not completely.
Adam tried to explain to the girls the whole sorcery shtick which wasn't to hard since they were both 'midlans' planets where some stories about ether are common but are sometimes just fairy tales plus Abbie was from a minor house so she must have some knowledge on this stuff.
"Ok so apart from the random knowledge i just imparted onto you I want you both to know mastery over your is more a mindset thing as long as you know you can do something you can do it."
"Sounds easy enough," said Lucy.
"It's not but yes that's the attitude. "–Adam
"K so for ether control just perfectly regulate it through your body and we are good, we don't need finesse right now I can teach yall better later. Right now we gotta head back and kill this dumbfuck that's after us.
But before that lets run through every thing i told yall real quick."
Lucy lazily raised her hand "um so basically every human has ether which is energy born from thoughts."

"And everyone has different amounts according to their cosmic improtance." (Correct)
"No one can naturally access it normally so you have to take in illicit sugar for it to work."(also correct)
"You also can't use ether in natural form and have to split it between its creative and destructive forms."
"Mmh yea you basically got it but those are just the baby steps that the ministry hands out to midlanders since you people can't keep off suagr.
People from noble houses and those from the golden moon like vell mages like Abbie's brother know alot more of which its not really important for you to know but I'll give you this one rule if we are gonna end up doing this together, never under any circumstance go above a battle power of 8000. No matter what!"
"Why and why so specific?"–Lucy
"Because if you do you'll get taken away by the moon," Answered Abbie looking like she just remembered something terrible.
Adam said she was right and especially Lushii. With the kind of power she had the moon coming for her would be bad and that's coming from a guy descended from Cleon Cerimona the grey.
"Ok lets get this shit show started."
Adam shouted as he tried getting everyone in the mood for a roller coaster of absurdity.
"Lets go kill somebody!"
