Chapter 1 - First Feather (3rd Person)

Tanusha Kyrano was having a bad day. She had just gotten his 10th call for help this afternoon, and it was only 3. It seemed as if the whole world was falling apart. And just when she thought things couldn't get worse, they did.

"Kayo!" crackled Brains' voice over the radio. "We need your help! Quickly!"

"But I'm about to go save the people in a runaway jet!" called out Kayo over the radio, hoping that Brains wouldn't give her even more assignments.

"No need! I'll send over Scott. But right now, we need you, and only you! Meet us at the GDF's Main Technical Base!" Crackled Brain's voice came over the radio, "This is a personal attack on us, and specifically you!"

"On my way!" called out Kayo as she turned her Jet around and blasted off towards her new destination.

"I don't get it?" questioned Alan as they continued to ponder this riddle. "Why would someone steal some extremely expensive tech and leave a note in their best handwriting to tell us all about it? And leave a riddle!"

"What if they're trying to throw us off? Or buy themselves time by confusing us?" theorized Brains as they stared at what was left behind by our mysterious thief. A feather, a crow's feather to be exact, and a riddle. It just didn't make sense. But they were interrupted from their puzzling by the ever-so-quiet sound of Thunderbird S's engines. As Kayo landed, she hopped out and walked up to Alan and Brains.

"So, what's the issue about a targeted attack on me? Is the Hood or Mechanic up to no good again?" asked Kayo, hoping to get this over with.

"It's more serious than that," spoke up Brains. "Someone stole the GDF's new fusion reactor and left something behind."

"What did they leave?" questioned Kayo, her curiosity building.

"This," said Alan, pulling some things out of his pocket. In his hand was a crow's feather and a note.

"It's a riddle," explained Brains. Brains went on, "It says, ONCE A DAY YOU'LL SEE THE LIGHT, TWICE A DAY YOU'LL FEEL MY BITE. RISEN AGAIN, FROM THE DEAD, KAYO, I DECLARE, WILL BE DEAD!!!"

"Creepy. What does it mean?" asked Kayo.

"That's the thing. We don't know...yet," explained Brains. "It specifically mentions you. Kayo...you wouldn't happen to have anyone who would hold a grudge against you?"

Thinking for a second, Kayo searched her memories. Past enemies, old villains they had faced, and even some civilians and GDF enforcers who disliked her. They all had the motives but none the means. Except one.

"Jayden Claw!" exclaimed Kayo. "He's smart, rich, and is a mob boss I put behind bars a few years ago. But he just got out! It has to be him!"

"So it's a road trip!" declared Alan as he called Virgil to come pick them up.

Kayo looked out and up into the sky, saying, "Paris, France, here I come!"
