Chapter 7 - Pillow Talks

Tora POV

I made my way up to my base. The climb from Y -50 to the surface was so tiring that I had to eat two whole chickens.

Once I made it to the surface, I hurried outside to check my farm, and to my delight, the newborn mobs had already grown into full adults, and my crops were fully grown.

I made my way to the wheat farm and collected everything. In the end, I gathered four stacks of wheat (64 wheat per stack). After replanting everything and expanding the wheat farm, I began feeding the mobs.

I chuckled. "I just hope these guys don't become inbred."

Once I finished everything I needed to do, I returned to the ninja world. When I arrived, the sand timer showed that an hour had passed, so it was still midnight.

"I don't feel tired. Is it because I slept earlier in Minecraft?"

I shrugged and checked my inventory. The Minecraft inventory and the system inventory were two completely different things. I couldn't open the Minecraft inventory outside of Minecraft, but I could transfer Minecraft items into my system inventory. And based on the fact that I could bring ropes into Minecraft, I guessed that Minecraft items could also be brought into the Naruto world.

To test my theory, I opened my system inventory and pulled out three pieces of leather. The leather was massive, clearly taken from a cow, and from the texture alone, it was high-quality leather.

"I wonder how much money this will go for?"

I tossed the leather beside my bed and opened the system, remembering that I had recently completed a mission.

"Open the three bronze cards."

[Bronze Card: Comfortable Pillow! Description: A comfortable pillow. Once you lay your head on it, you will instantly fall asleep. Upon waking, all stamina and chakra will be restored, and all damage to the body will be repaired!]

[Bronze Card: 10 Cans of Soda!

Description: Drinkable beverage.]

[Bronze Card: Slight Increase in Durability

Description: Increases the durability of the user.]

I frowned and asked the system, "What the hell is this? Why are these all terrible? I mean, the pillow could be useful, but not that useful to me. I'll probably be in the Minecraft world most of the time anyway. And the durability—hopefully it increases by a lot."

[Bomboclat! So much complaining. The previous rewards were starter gift packs. Now you're actually getting random cards.]

I ignored the Jamaican system and continued examining the cards.

I used all three cards, stored the ten cans in my inventory, placed the pillow on my bed, and activated the durability card on myself before checking my stats.

[Name: Taro Hosai

Title: None

Rank: None

Chakra Affinity: Wind

Potential: Elite Jonin

IQ: 114

Battle IQ: 101

Strength: 12

Speed: 14

Durability: 19

Chakra: 84]

I raised an eyebrow. "So it went up by fifteen? That's not bad."

I opened the system again. "Open the silver card."

[Silver Card: Chakra Man!

Description: Slight increase in chakra control and recovery.]

Without hesitation, I used the silver card on myself. Once it fully integrated, I felt as if I could control chakra as easily as moving my arms.

Grinning, I gathered chakra in my feet and stuck myself to the wall.

"Hahaha… I could stay here until I run out of mana!"

I stayed there for a few minutes to test the recovery rate. It wasn't that impressive—if I had 100 chakra, it would recover about 0.25 chakra per second.

I sighed. "I mean, it's better than nothing."

After finishing with the cards, I debated going back to Minecraft to mine some more—until I noticed the pillow on my bed.

"Fuck it. I'll sleep. The pillow yearns for me."

I lay down and rested my head on the pillow. It was cold, while my bed was warm—a perfect match. The pillow was so soft it felt like water itself.

In the blink of an eye, I was already dreaming.

"Tora, wake up!"

I jolted awake to an annoying voice. "Shut up! Damn! Can't a man sleep peacefully?!"

Still groggy, I sat up and saw my brother, Nao. He looked at me with amusement before speaking.

"Wake the hell up and get ready for your first training. Dad hates it when people are late."

"Training? What training?" I asked, my head still foggy.

Nao chuckled. "Just get up already."

I stood up and felt better than ever. The pillow had done wonders for my stamina and body. I quickly changed, and when I stepped out of the closet, my brother asked—holding three pieces of leather—

"Where did you get these? This is high-quality leather!"

"Damn, I forgot about those," I thought. "Well, he already saw them. No point stressing."

Before I could answer, he accused, "Did you steal these? You better not be stealing from people, Taro!"

"What are you on about? I didn't steal them. As for how I got them—how about you shut up about it. I'll give them all to you if you don't tell anyone."

He didn't hesitate. "Are you serious?! Hahaha—you really are a kid! These can go for thousands in the capital, you dumbass! I could make high-quality armor from this!"

I shrugged. "Yeah, yeah. Let's go meet Father."
