Chapter 10 - Gate Master

It failed.

An attempt was made to use descent magic to summon the deceased captain back as a heroic spirit, but... unsurprisingly, it failed.

Shaka's magic, "The Descendant," works on a very simple principle: opening a portal and summoning a creature with whom he has a karmic connection from the other side. Magic constitutes the existence of living beings

much like the Third Law in a certain Type-Moon world, using the celestial reincarnation pool as the Throne of Heroes to complete the ritual.

But Shaka still failed. Of course, how could a Level 1 novice summon a Level 4 leader with such little spiritual power? The Falna transforms both body and mind; even in death, the soul remains at the transformed Level 4 strength. This is why ancient heroes, even in reincarnation, possess such powerful talents!

But Shaka sensed that it wasn't just a matter of magic.

"I understand your general idea."

Astraea closed her eyes and thought for a moment before explaining:

"In this world, the souls of the dead children will return to the Heavenly Realm to await reincarnation. Not only that even the souls of monsters will return to the Dungeon and be reincarnated. Your failure may be due to this reason."

Shaka frowned: "Are you saying that the former captain's soul has been reincarnated?"

Impossible. According to the original story, the future elf summoned Alicia's phantom using only his own magic proof that the captain hadn't reincarnated so quickly.

As expected, Astraea shook her head:

"No, with almost all the gods descending to the mortal realm, there aren't enough gods in the Heavenly Realm to handle reincarnation. The cycle is longer, usually around one thousand years."

"Then why did the goblins succeed, but I failed?" Shaka said, unwilling to accept defeat.

"Perhaps the souls of surface monsters are no longer under the Dungeon's jurisdiction?" Astraea speculated. "Or maybe souls that have left the Dungeon need a long time to return?" She sighed. "In fact, even the gods don't know much about the Dungeon's secrets."

After being reminded, Shaka's eyes lit up. Yes human souls return to the Heavenly Realm! If even the god-sealed Dungeon can block souls from returning, then the Heavenly Realm as an obstacle must be impossible to cross. It's like the difference between a piece of paper and a steel plate.

Now that he knew the reason for his failure, Shaka regained his confidence. In his view, such a gap was not insurmountable at least, someone right in front of him had passed through that "steel plate" to reach the mortal realm!

"Lady Astraea, please tell me how to anchor world coordinates!" Shaka said devoutly, bowing deeply. "This is very important."

"What do you want to do?" Astraea asked calmly, but her mind was racing. What's this kid thinking? Is he planning to go straight to the Heavenly Realm and drag people away?!

Astraea guessed right Shaka did want to recruit people from outside the world!

"Since we can't cross the world to bring back the soul, we just need to open a hole between the worlds!"

In the Heavenly Realm, there exists a great lake where souls reside; those not yet reincarnated linger there. In Shaka's view, the Heavenly Realm is similar to the Type-Moon world's Root, and the lake is like Valhalla. What he needs to do is create an opening between the two, with himself as the [Holy Grail] in the middle, to simulate a Heroic Spirit summoning ritual.

Shaka spread his hands confidently: "As long as the barriers between worlds disappear, it's not impossible to bring back our predecessors even fallen heroes!"

What seemed like a wild idea might actually be achievable. As someone who has traveled through two worlds, the magic Shaka awakened is fully capable of breaking down world barriers. Just like his magical title, Gate Master he is the master of spacetime gates.

Of course, summoning heroes requires massive magic, possibly even ley line-level power, Shaka can't achieve it in a short time. But this relates to his real plan.

He touched the phone in his pocket the one he had previously turned off, a relic of his old civilization, containing his decade-long ambition: the Multiverse Chat Group!

Seeing Shaka's eyes gleam with sharp determination, Astraea closed her eyes earnestly, then nodded slightly:

"I understand. I'll tell you how to locate world anchor points."

"Really?" Shaka exclaimed in surprise.

Astraea had her own selfish motives: if those children could return in any form, perhaps Ryu wouldn't have become so extreme. She touched her face and sighed: "You're such a naughty child. Even if I didn't tell you, you'd find out on your own. I just can't do anything with you."

The goddess sensed Shaka was in a skill-triggered state at an unprecedented peak. The Mystery emanating from him had steadily risen to B-level; if this continued, he might truly break through to S-level and reach genuine divine power. It's worth noting that even Level 7 adventurers rarely push their development abilities to B-rank.

But that wouldn't do. Having just received the Falna, Shaka wouldn't be able to withstand such advanced [Mystery]. So Astraea intervened in time.

...

The fact that gods can choose their birthplace when descending proves that even with sealed divine power, they know how to determine world coordinates down to specific locations. At this moment, Astraea was patiently teaching Shaka how to locate spatial anchor points.

Given his current expertise, Shaka couldn't directly lock onto a world and place an anchor he needed a medium. Whether an object or a bond, it required a trigger. For Shaka, he himself and Astraea (who had descended from the Another Realm) were among the biggest spacetime anchors.

Therefore...

"Stars, gather here!"

After chanting, golden starlight danced from his fingertips. A space tunnel the size of a pinhole suddenly appeared in front of them then shattered into starlight.

Shaka gasped for breath, his gaze fixed on Astraea.

"That's right, that's the aura of the Heavenly Realm." Astraea looked surprised, not expecting Shaka's [Mystery] to achieve this so easily. "The last time the gates to the Heavenly Realm were opened in mortal history was by the great magic

[The Spirits OfSixRings] a forbidden spell requiring the combined power of six spirits essences."

Although the two were not comparable, the principle was the same: both opened the gate to the Heavenly Realm. The only difference was that the former could invoke divine power and bring down punishment, while Shaka had only opened a tiny gap.

"With my current magic level, I can't even maintain it, let alone mobilize divine power." Shaka sighed, then quickly smiled. "But at least it was a success."

"Well, congratulations, Shaka!" Astraea smiled. "Then let's update your stats without further ado."

It had been six days since Shaka joined the Familia. He had been constantly honing his magic, pushing himself to mental exhaustion before sleeping. And sure enough, when he checked his ability values...

Magic: 10 → I53.

"So slow," Shaka couldn't help but complain. Other stats had only increased by single digits, and even magic his easiest to improve had only gone up by 53 points. And this was still the initial stage of the Falna.

"Those who get hundreds of attribute points from one Dungeon run are cheaters." Oh, right, I'm a transmigrator too. Never mind!

After updating his stats, the goddess told him to rest before leaving. At this moment, Shaka quietly took out his phone and began his real plan!

Ps. If yall can drop some power stone ill release more 😍
