Chapter 110 - The First Named Fate

Vikka never truly slept.

Even as the crowd surged and the black markets hummed with forbidden trades, something unseen shifted the moment Brush stepped deeper into the city. The mark of Ultimate Power on his arm pulsed once—slow, deliberate—as if responding to a presence older than the Black Market itself.

Crunchyroller stopped walking.

"Something just acknowledged you," she said quietly.

Equinox's playful expression faded, replaced with sharp focus.

"No," she corrected. "Something inside him."

Brush felt it too.

The noise of Vikka dulled. Neon lights stretched into long, trembling streaks. The ground beneath his feet dissolved—not collapsing, but releasing him.

And then, there was nothing.

He stood in a white void.

No UI. No system messages. No stats.

Just silence.

Then—soft footsteps.

A figure emerged from the brightness ahead.

She was not human.

She was a fox spirit, elegant and composed, her presence bending the space around her without force. Snow-white fox ears rose from dark hair threaded with faint lines of glowing code. Behind her, several ethereal fox tails flowed slowly, half-formed, each inscribed with shifting symbols that refused to settle into meaning.

She wore a flowing kimono, patterned with fractured constellations and fate sigils, its fabric moving as if it existed half a second out of sync with reality. It was not armor, nor was it ceremonial—it was simply her.

Her eyes met Brush's.

Ancient. Calm. Unavoidable.

"So," she said evenly,

"you finally chose something forbidden."

Brush swallowed.

"You're one of them," he said.

"One of the seven."

She nodded once.

"The first to wake," she replied.

"And the first to accept a name."

She stepped forward. The void yielded beneath her feet.

"My name is Mia Rika."

The moment the name was spoken, it locked into existence.

⚠️ SYSTEM EVENT

FATE IDENTIFIED

NAME: Mia Rika

STATUS: PARTIALLY AWAKENED

CLASSIFICATION: FATE-SPIRIT (ARBiter: PENDING)

BINDING: Brush D. Rush

Brush felt the weight of it immediately.

She was not a summon. Not a skill. Not a god.

She was what remained when probability failed to choose.

"What are you?" Brush asked.

Mia Rika's fox tails swayed gently.

"I am an outcome the System cannot predict," she said.

"A correction that exists outside balance."

Her gaze shifted to the burning mark on his arm.

"Ultimate Power does not give you strength," she continued.

"It grants you permission."

Brush's chest tightened.

"Permission to do what?"

Mia Rika turned away. The white void cracked faintly where her shadow passed.

"To end things that were never meant to be ended," she said.

"Gods. Systems. Cycles."

She looked back once more.

"But you will not use it yet," she added.

"Because if you do… I will fully awaken."

The void began to collapse inward.

"When a second fate gains a name," Mia Rika said softly,

"Vikka will no longer pretend it is neutral."

Brush gasped and staggered back into reality.

The sounds of Vikka rushed in all at once. Hikaru caught him before he fell, her grip steady.

"Brush—what happened?"

He looked down at his arm.

A new symbol had appeared beside the mark of Ultimate Power.

Quiet. Stable. Waiting.

"One of them has a name now," he said.

"Mia Rika."

Crunchyroller's expression hardened.

"Named fates don't stay observers," she said.

Equinox glanced upward, toward the higher layers of the city.

"And Vikka definitely felt that."

Far above the Black Market City, unseen systems recalculated.

And somewhere beyond the reach of gods and councils—

six more destinies stirred, still unnamed.
