Chapter 27 - The Swan Song

Suddenly, Lefu stopped coughing. A black, gem-encrusted staff appeared in his hand. He pointed it at Miss Heidi Lin, and a blue light emanated from the staff. This time, Miss Heidi Lin was swallowed without surprise; Amadi, on the other hand, fiercely waved his hand at the void in front of him, teleporting the 'Lightning Storm' that should have stayed by Miss Heidi Lin's side directly in front of Stacy.

Stacy shrieked, using 'Wand Substitution' and 'Mirror Substitution' consecutively, but it was useless. Even when she pulled out a dazzling charm and used it, it had no effect.

The 'ancestor staff' had recreated a 'Lightning Storm' that Lefu had observed at sea, risking his life, as a Cardinal of the Storm Church unleashed it with all his might. That Cardinal was a Sequence 3 'Sea King'! Although this 'Lightning Storm' couldn't match the original's power, it was more than enough to kill a 'Demoness of Afflictions' holding a Sequence 4 level charm.

However, this lightning bolt didn't strike Stacy. Instead, a clash of black flames and blue lightning erupted between the three, and finally, the 'Lightning Storm', lacking any follow-up power, dissipated unwillingly but helplessly within the villa.

Lefu and Amadi saw the black flames that could actually nullify a powerful blow from a near-Sequence 3 Demigod. They said nothing, only secretly heightened their vigilance, their expressions showing an 'as expected' look.

A voice, sometimes near, sometimes far, sometimes in front, sometimes behind, rang out: "Newly promoted Elder, Amadi, truly a beautiful man. What a pity you're an Abraham. Otherwise, I really wouldn't bear to kill you. Don't even think about running; I've extracted all your basic information through soul-searching."

Amadi still spoke with a relaxed expression: "Oh, so you've captured, killed, and communed with everyone who left before? Didn't you ever think of recruiting them? How cruel."

"No need to provoke me. This point about the Abrahams is indeed admirable. Although they are just trash at Sequence 9 and Sequence 8, they show no intention of surrendering even when facing a Demigod. What is this, the arrogance of your former Angel Family? Heh heh, actually, for you to join us wouldn't be a disgrace to your ancestors, after all, we are a True God Family, unlike your ruined family that can't even produce a Sequence 6!" The ethereal voice rang out again.

"Stop chatting! Miss Heidi Lin has been killed, why aren't you quickly killing both of them to avenge her?!" At this moment, a voice full of venom came, and the 'Demoness of Afflictions' named Stacy spoke with a contorted face.

The ethereal chuckle echoed through the villa: "Don't rush, isn't it almost ready?"

During the short conversation, Lefu had already handed the 'ancestor staff' to Amadi, who was continuously waving the '"Secrecy" Dagger' around their bodies. He didn't say much, only gestured to Amadi with his eyes.

Pain finally appeared on Amadi's face. This eternally optimistic 'Astrologer' had discovered the obvious truth, only one of them could survive by desperately holding off the two, but clearly, the one who lived would only be himself. Looking at the old man who had toiled for the Abrahams his entire life, Amadi couldn't help but feel his emotions fluctuate.

Suddenly, after only two or three seconds of eye contact between them, both felt a tickle in their throats. Without saying much, Amadi, holding the 'ancestor staff', instantly opened a spatial rift and vanished in less than a blink of an eye.

However, the Demigod Demoness did not stop him. She materialized, smiling, and said, "It's useless, I've already sealed the surrounding space. What do you think I'm doing..." Before she could finish speaking, she exclaimed in shock, "Impossible! Is that black staff an Angel-level Sealed Artifact?"

Then, the miscalculating Demigod quickly grabbed wildly in the void, as if pulling at unseen threads, and then laughed in relief as if she had discovered something.

Without a sound, a light that illuminated the villa flashed again, encompassing both the Demoness of Afflictions and the Demoness of Despair. Under the sunlight, it seemed as if some threads appeared on the Demigod's hand, but they were instantly destroyed by the dazzling light.

The Demoness of Despair immediately shielded Stacy, her face showing no emotion, yet vastly different from her previous 'everything is under control' demeanor. Then, as soon as the light ended, she calmly said, "Abrahams, a bunch of timid little mice, always scurrying around. But this time, don't even think about running; you can't escape."

Lefu's ring on his hand shimmered with a strange light, illuminating everything around him. His throat seemed to contain countless things, but he still insisted, "I understand. In fact, your virus has already brought me to the brink of death, but I never intended to leave!"

"You say we Abrahams run, that's true, but you say we're timid? Impossible! No matter how disgraced we Abrahams are, there are no traitors! Our current enjoyment comes from the gifts of our ancestors. Do you know whose remains the 'Ring of Wandering' is made from? It's my ancestor's! The glory of our Angel Family comes not only from its peak splendor but also from our unyielding spirit in this current low point! The spirit of our ancestors will forever protect us!" Lefu roared with all his might.

A radiance, accompanied by lightning, emerged from Lefu's body. Lefu's body dissolved in the light, but it seemed some things did not disappear. A diamond-like object swiftly merged into the 'Ring of Wandering'.

Also bathed in the sunlight and lightning were the Demoness of Despair and Stacy. The black flames and frost around the Demoness of Despair unleashed their power together, resisting it. However, the black flames and frost quickly evaporated like shadows in the sun. But before she herself was affected, the Demoness of Despair waved her hand, allowing herself and Stacy to quickly escape through mirrors.

After the sunlight disappeared and the lightning subsided, the Demoness of Despair reached out and grabbed the ring, then fled through the mirror as if escaping.

Soon, before the Demoness of Despair had even left for a minute or two, a faint sound came from the horizon. A figure, moving extremely fast but without making much noise, descended upon this villa, no, this ruin.

At the same time, a golden figure streaked across the sky, descending around the Demigod who had arrived earlier. Before they could say much, both looked towards an uninhabited shadow, where a figure emerged. There was no spectacular entrance, but its presence made people dare not underestimate it.

After the three approached, they said something unknown, then nodded, spoke to each other briefly, and quickly dispersed.
