Chapter 38 - Stillness.

As Ken was still sitting on the bank of the island. When the others called him out, he refused to go with them, right now, that is.

[The sixth main scenario will start in five days.]

Ken didn't know why, but he wanted to be alone for a while. As the others headed back to the main part of Seoul from the island, Ken still sat there.

[The rewards have been calculated.]

[You have received 40,000 coins for your contribution.]

[You have received Eilan forest's essence.]

[Eilan forest's essence.]

[Grade: A.]

[Description: If you use it and sleep for a while, it doesn't matter how serious the injury is, it will heal back.]

As a jade like crystal type thing appeared in his hand, Ken didn't waste a moment and put it up for auction.

It was something given to all incarnations after the damages the fifth scenario caused, so, right now no one would want to buy it. But who knows when one would want it.

As Ken was still sitting there, he kind of felt stingy seeing the reward amount. Since he literally gave Dokja fifty thousand away, yet he only got forty thousand for contribution.

Well, he couldn't be all that stingy. Since the fucking dokkaebi called Paul luckily doubled the reward so that other incarnations would kill Yoosung, which is why he got this much. Or he could have gotten half of that.

Even as he was still sitting and having a view of the river, suddenly he heard loud thuds and roars.

'Seems like some monsters are still alive… and strong ones at that.'

He slowly got back up and headed towards the center of the island with his sword out of his sheath.

[You have been given 50,000 coins in total for your achievements.]

When Ken had reached the center of the island. A few tier five monsters were fighting each other. They must have been called upon by Yoosung, and had now gone on a rampage because there was no one to control them.

But again, they were injured, and Ken was not anymore. Which was why the fight was relatively easier, considering the fact that the monsters were tier five.

And he didn't at all mind fighting them, as getting a first kill at monsters can give an achievement and achievements gives coins.

Ken still felt like shit, since he only got back the amount he lost to Dokja after killing another few tier five monsters.

But he also didn't mind all that much. As the monsters he had killed had really valuable body parts. His idea was simple. If a monster has hard, shiny and simply good looking body parts, that just means that the body part has to be valuable.

As Ken got back to the bank of the island again and sat down. A message came up.

[The constellations of the nebula The three idiotsare looking at you.]

As Ken saw this message and looked at the sky. He said in a tired voice.

"Well. Yeah, I failed the bounty mission, can't do anything about that… sorry about that."

[Two constellations look at you with a look of conscience.]

[Constellation The dead man who came back bestows you with Baseless survival (lvl 1).]

[Constellation The masochist of Joseon bestows you with Persistence (lvl 1).]

[Constellation Merchant of Venice says that it was an unavoidable situation.]

[Two constellations nod in agreement.]

[Two constellations say that giving you the stigmas will only benefit them anyway.]

Ken looked at the messages for a while, pondering what to do right now. Knowing nothing on what to do, he sat down in the same position for a long time… until it was night already.

He felt weirdly calm. Usually, because of his ADHD, he can't stay in the same position for a long time. But today, he could, for who knows why.

As he finally got up, he used telekinesis to lift himself up. It was almost like flying. Not that he never flew using the way of the wind. But unlike it, which needed constant movement, telekinesis didn't need that.

But again, everything has its advantages and disadvantages, and that is, telekinesis is kind of slow. Which is why propelling himself with the way of the wind along with telekinesis is way more effective.

As he flew towards the main part of Seoul. He finally landed on the ground. He didn't know what to do.

He also killed the king and queen of the Ichthyosaurs on the way. Cause, why not? They gave him extra thirty thousand coins for first kills, and their nucleus were also really valuable. He would have killed them a long ago, but didn't, since they were important to the fight against forty first round Yoosung. More so, not just their nucleus, but some of their body parts were also really valuable.

That's the problem with him when he's alone and doesn't have anything to do. He simply doesn't know what to do.

Meaning, he doesn't have any kind of drive moving him forward either. The biggest problem being, unlike before, where he could simply kill monsters and gain coins, which kind of drove him.

Now, even that didn't exist anymore, as the sub-scenario as well as the coin event with it had ended some time ago.

Ken slowly walked through the rubbles of Seoul. If he was any other Korean, he might have felt sad or nostalgic. But he wasn't a Korean to begin with, so he didn't feel anything about all those rubbled buildings and places.

[Additional rewards will be given to the biggest contributors.]

[Biggest contributors: Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk, Jung Heewon, Kennedy.]

[You can choose any one B-grade skill.]

As this appeared, Ken scrolled through the list. But he felt like all of the names of skills felt fuzzy and vague. And he ended up taking lie detection again.

[You already have lie detection.]

[Your skill level has been upgraded for choosing it again.]

[Lie detection (lvl 4) > Lie detection (lvl 5).]

He kind of could guess as to why that was the case. It's simply because. 'The real me doesn't know any other B grade skills except resistance types and lie detection.'

As Ken walked through the rubbles of the city. He could only feel one thing. And that is… 'It's too calm here.'

Although he did say that it's calm, it really wasn't all that calm, as monsters were still roaming around. The calmness he talks about is simply a feeling he is getting.

As he heads inside a building and immediately moves to the top floor, the rooftop. He lays down and starts looking at the sky.

He simply just felt way too calm. But not empty like he always felt. Just pure calm.

[The chance of a new attribute blooming has increased.]

Just as he saw this notification, he sat up all of a sudden. But he also calmed down just as fast.

As he stared at the notification for a while, he simply dismissed it, as he had no idea as to what it was pointing at.

He opened the auction of the dokkaebi bag and collected all the coins he got from people buying his auctioned things.

As he checked his attribute window. Since he had too many coins anyway. He thought of one thing. 'Why don't I just upgrade my dokkaebi bag membership to diamond?'

As Ken did that. He regretted doing it, the whole night. Which is why he didn't get even a wink of sleep.
