Chapter 136 - The star frenzy festival has begun.

Wish's legs led her somewhere she hadn't planned to go, which was becoming a pattern.

The meadow pavilion appeared between the trees like something the dream realm had grown specifically to be stumbled upon—a structure of glass panels set into elegant dark frames, the walls transparent enough that the outside and inside seemed to exist in conversation with each other.

Surrounding it on all sides, bioluminescent trees rose tall and unhurried, their leaves glowing in soft blues and pale greens and a particular shade of violet that existed nowhere in the natural world, the light pulsing gently like slow breathing.

Every few seconds a leaf would detach and drift downward, still lit, landing on the glass roof in a soft scatter of color that dissolved slowly like embers going out.
