Chapter 138 - Half-mark pain

Wish sauntered toward Aurex, her fingers trailing feather-light over his cheeks, caressing with a deceptive tenderness that made his jaw clench tight. He tensed under her touch, muscles coiling like a spring. "You only know the gentle me," she purred, voice a velvet rasp laced with menace.

"You're yet to know this me, sunshine." A low, dark chuckle rumbled from her throat, promising evil, her eyes glinting with the thrill of whatever depraved storm she was about to unleash.

She pivoted gracefully, hips swaying in hypnotic rhythm, and strode to the massive bed. "You lot can go if you want," she called over her shoulder to Aurex and Hyrin, "you know you ain't trapped here.

But if you want me to comply with your demands, you also comply with mine." She sank onto the edge of the silk-sheeted bed, legs crossing languidly, her simple white cotton top—bought that morning before they got out of the penthouse—and pocketed denim shorts hugging her curves like a second skin.
