Chapter 55 - Chapter 50

Snape, the Snow Fox, and the Gryffindor–Hufflepuff Match

◆ Snape's Surprising Softness Toward Vulpix

Vulpix trotted into the dungeon corridor with her fluffy tails swaying like silk ribbons.

Keith had come to return a borrowed potion text, but before he could knock, the office door opened.

Snape stepped out.

His expression was the usual:

cold

stern

death-in-a-bottle.

Then he saw Vulpix.

His expression… melted.

Melted.

His eyes softened, shoulders relaxed, and he silently lowered himself into a crouch.

Vulpix sniffed his robes, then booped his nose with her tiny paw.

Snape's lips twitched.

Almost a smile.

Snape (murmuring):

"…Ridiculous little creature."

But he handed her a small jar of magically chilled fox treats.

She squeaked happily.

Keith blinked.

He was almost concerned.

Snape stood up quickly and scowled.

Snape:

"T—This never happened. Get out."

Keith left.

Vulpix proudly carried her snack jar between her teeth.

◆ Match Day: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff

The stadium roared.

Flags waved.

The whole school had gathered for the most anticipated match of the year.

Hufflepuff Lineup:

Chasers: Keith Argus Runcandel, Helena Prince Seeker: Cedric Diggory Keeper: Whitethorn Beaters: Darius & Monty

Gryffindor Lineup:

Keeper: Oliver Wood Chasers: Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson, Marcus Fenwick (new random name) Beaters: Fred & George Weasley Seeker: Elias Fleetwood (your new random name)

Keith waved to Katie, Angelina, and the Weasley twins.

Katie blushed.

Angelina waved back energetically.

Fred & George saluted dramatically.

The stands echoed:

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

"GRYFFINDOR!"

"GO KEITH!"

"HELENA!!"

Madam Hooch's whistle sliced through the air.

The game began.

◆ Keith Dominates the Sky

Keith moved like a streak of gold.

He didn't fly — he flowed through the air.

Within 20 minutes:

Keith scored 12 goals Helena scored 5

The scoreboard shone:

Hufflepuff – 170

Gryffindor – 10

Gryffindor confidence cracked.

Oliver Wood bit his lip and yelled:

Oliver:

"REMEMBER OUR TRAINING!

THE SPECIAL TRAINING!!"

Katie, Angelina, and the twins shivered.

Flashbacks of late-night drills, nonstop sprints, and Wood yelling "PUSH HARDER!" haunted them like war trauma.

◆ The Bludger Duel

Fred & George, sweating under Oliver's glare, aimed a bludger straight at Keith and Helena.

WHAM!

Both dodged perfectly.

Helena passed the Quaffle high into the air.

Keith's eyes gleamed.

Keith:

"…That looks fun."

He stood on his broom.

Jumped off.

Gasps exploded across the stadium.

He twisted mid-air and kicked the Quaffle.

The ball spun like a bullet—

—straight into the goal.

GOOOOOOAL!!!

The crowd went insane.

Muggle-born students screamed:

"THAT'S A FOOTBALL SHOOT!!!"

"RONALDO MAGIC!!!"

"WHAT IS THIS MADMAN?!"

Oliver Wood grabbed his hair and collapsed.

◆ Angelina Falls — and the Prince Catches Her

A bludger from a panicked Fred ricocheted wild—

and smashed Angelina's broom.

She screamed as the splintered broom broke beneath her.

The stands shrieked.

Keith, already nearby, moved before anyone else.

He flew full speed.

Dove.

Snatched her out of the air—

Princess carry.

Angelina shut her eyes, waiting for pain.

None came.

Only a warm arm under her back, and a gentle hand behind her knees.

She opened her eyes.

Keith looked down at her.

Keith:

"Are you hurt?"

Angelina's heart forgot how to beat.

Angelina (whisper):

"…N-No… I'm okay."

Keith descended slowly to the ground and set her down carefully.

The Gryffindor stands erupted into screams.

Katie stared at Angelina with a

"I know exactly what you're feeling"

face.

◆ Cedric Ends It

The moment Keith landed, a flash of gold zipped past Cedric's face.

He dove—

spun—

snatched.

He had the Snitch.

The stadium exploded.

Hufflepuff wins: 300 – 70

Keith scored 12

Helena scored 5

Cedric caught the Snitch

Angelina was rescued

Gryffindor was destroyed

And Oliver Wood lay facedown, mumbling:

"…All… the training… for nothing…"
