Chapter 63

Keith Inherits Lucien Runcandel's Grimoire & the Flamel–Delacour Chaos Begins

For the next two days, Perenelle Flamel continued treating Keith exactly like a grandson she had waited a century for. She dragged him into the kitchen every morning, insisting that she was "teaching him the basics," even though Keith's Gourmet Deity of Creation talent ended up teaching her new things.

Even Nicolas Flamel had to admit defeat after tasting Keith's dishes—each meal enhanced vitality, magic flow, or lifespan. Nicolas ended up taking Keith to his private alchemy laboratory, proudly showing off ancient tomes, rare metals, and centuries-old experiments.

And that was when it began.

Every few hours:

Keith asked a sharp alchemy question Nicolas answered Keith politely disagreed Nicolas got triggered They argued Perenelle sighed and compared Nicolas to Lucien Runcandel…

Which only made Nicolas pout harder.

The French Ministry Visit

When Keith visited the French Ministry with Perenelle, a quiet moment came when he saw Lucien Runcandel's portrait on the wall of "Legendary Foreign Allies."

Lucien's proud smile, elegant robes, and intense eyes drew Keith's attention for a long time. Ministry officials whispered behind them—some in awe, some in fear—because Keith looked too much like Lucien.

But Keith simply bowed his head slightly to the portrait.

Keith Gains Lucien's Personal Grimoire

On the third night, Perenelle gave Keith a beautifully sealed chest.

Inside was Lucien Runcandel's personal grimoire, filled with:

Forbidden Runcandel sword-magic theory Cross-world alchemical notes Personal thoughts for a descendant he would never meet

Keith spent hours reading, absorbing, and silently strengthening his resolve.

Visit to the Delacour Mansion (The True Beginning of Chaos)

On the fourth day, Perenelle decided Keith needed "fresh air and a break," so she took him to the Delacour mansion.

The moment Apolline Delacour saw Keith, she froze, then immediately hugged him like an affectionate aunt.

But the real shock came when Keith introduced himself:

"I'm Keith Argus Runcandel."

Apolline's eyes widened.

And the two girls standing behind her—one around 14–15 (Fleur) and the younger one, 8 (Gabrielle)—stiffened like statues.

Then all three bowed in unison:

"Lord Runcandel."

Keith quickly waved his hands in distress.

"Please, no formalities… just treat me normally."

Apolline was stunned.

So mature. So humble. So impossibly polite.

She suddenly felt protective of him—like a mother of a very precious child.

Fleur & Gabrielle: Instant Rivalry

A second after Keith finished speaking, Fleur grabbed his left arm.

Gabrielle grabbed his right.

And they dragged him through the entire Delacour estate, both fighting for his attention:

Fleur showing off her dueling garden Gabrielle bragging about her swimming pool magic Fleur showing family heirlooms Gabrielle offering homemade sweets

Perenelle and Apolline watched from the balcony with identical expressions.

"They're already competing."

"Of course they are," Perenelle said, sipping tea.

"He's adorable, powerful, respectful… Lucien's aura all over again."

Apolline's next thought was far more dangerous:

"…I'm going to get grandchildren from this boy."

Meanwhile, at the Flamel Mansion…

Nicolas was sulking in his lab.

"Perenelle stole him again."

He muttered while stirring an elixir.

"I need him for research. I am the famous alchemist here, not her."

He glanced at the clock every five minutes like a lonely puppy waiting for his favourite human to return.
