Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Sanji Gets Beaten Again

"Yeah. Their flags all match. Looks like the Krieg Pirates' fleet," Sanji said, still staring at Nami with heart-shaped eyes, almost nosebleeding on the spot.

Lucky Drake, sitting beside Nami, stood up immediately.

This idiot dares stare at my woman like that?

"Sanji, have you seen enough?"

Lucky Drake's tone was ice-cold.

He already found Sanji extremely annoying—way too lecherous.

No wonder Fullbody had beaten him earlier. He really deserved it.

At that moment—

Ding!

Mission Triggered: Defeat Sanji to earn Lottery Points!

Lucky Drake froze for half a second.

Does the system… purposely target people I dislike?

But if he beat Sanji up now, recruiting him into the Thunder Pirates would become even less likely.

Then again… their crew wasn't lacking cooks. Just lacking world-class ones.

More importantly, lottery points were far more practical.

Lucky Drake made up his mind.

Tonight, Sanji was getting beaten.

Sanji noticed Lucky Drake's expression and brightened.

Isn't this the guy who invited me earlier?

"Hehehe, sorry, it's just—I really love beautiful women!"

"Oh right! Can I still join your Thunder Pirates? I'll cook for you! For free even!"

A complete 180.

Lucky Drake snorted.

"Didn't you reject us confidently just a moment ago? Why the sudden change?"

"Hehe… well, I didn't know your crew had such a gorgeous lady!" Sanji said with a foolish grin.

"Hmph. Interesting," Lucky Drake said coldly.

Even now, Sanji didn't notice Lucky Drake's displeasure—or the entire crew's.

Sanji had no sense of danger.

BANG!

Red, the captain, slammed the table.

"Lucky Drake, I don't like this blonde punk one bit! Even if he begs to join, I won't approve!"

"Yeah! We don't agree either!"

"He kept staring at Nami like that—too disgusting!"

"He even dared put his eyes on YOUR woman, Vice-Captain!"

The crew all glared at Sanji.

They all acknowledged Lucky Drake's authority.

Some even admired him deeply.

How could they allow anyone to covet Lucky Drake's woman?

Especially Red—the righteous simpleton.

Never touch a brother's wife! That was sacred.

"You guys…?"

Sanji finally realized he was being treated like a public enemy.

"Want to know why?"

Lucky Drake's expression never changed.

"…Why?" Sanji asked weakly.

"It's simple. I'll beat you up first, then tell you."

Lucky Drake grabbed Sanji by the collar and punched him over ten times before Sanji could even react.

When Sanji tried to counter with a kick—Lucky Drake stepped on his foot faster than he could move.

Sanji was instantly and thoroughly crushed.

"What the hell—are you all crazy?!"

"Why am I being beaten TWICE in one day?!"

Sanji lay on the ground, holding his face, nearly crying.

"And you're too much! Don't you know you're not supposed to hit the face?!"

Hearing him complain like he was wronged, the room fell silent for a moment.

Before Lucky Drake replied, Red spoke coldly:

"Nami is Lucky Drake's woman. You've been staring at her since you walked in. What is your intention?"

"With your attitude, you want to join us? Impossible."

"Right! Never touch a brother's wife! We were ALL about to hit you!"

Nami finally understood why they beat Sanji.

Hearing them defend her, she was deeply moved.

And Lucky Drake had personally beaten Sanji…

He must have been jealous.

That made her feel a strange sense of sweetness and security.

To make her stance clear, Nami glared at Sanji.

"Hmph! Don't you dare look at me like that again. It's disgusting."

Those words hit Sanji like a bolt from the blue.

Rejected by a beautiful woman…

Crushed publicly…

And totally hopeless.

He realized the truth—

He had offended the wrong group.

"Sorry… It's my fault. I'll leave now…"

He dragged his bruised and battered body away.

Ding!

Congratulations! You psychologically defeated Sanji. Reward: 3000 Lottery Points!

Lucky Drake's eyes lit up.

Three thousand?

That was even more than a Marine Captain!

Sanji was probably so traumatized he wouldn't be able to appreciate women for a long time.

But he had only himself to blame.

Who told him to target Nami?

Lucky Drake didn't draw immediately.

He and the crew began discussing the situation.

Because outside, the Krieg Pirates' fleet had surrounded Baratie—and they were clearly here for revenge.

"Hmph, their speed is impressive. We just finished eating and they already brought reinforcements."

Red growled, furious.

The Krieg Pirates were notoriously arrogant and brutal.

Murder, burning, pillaging—daily habits.

"No choice. Krieg's influence in the East Blue is unmatched," Alvida said.

The crew grew nervous.

"Captain, Vice-Captain… what do we do now? Do we go fight them?"

"But if we do… I'm afraid…"

They couldn't help imagining the worst.

After all, Sanji had said there were hundreds of Krieg ships outside.
