Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11 — The Hill of the Calling

The night was deep, but the air was unusually warm. The small group ofEfraín walked

silently along the path that climbed the hill, each step echoing in the stillness of

the early morning. The starlight was faint, but the moon's brilliance filled the sky,

as if everything were aligned to guide them.

Mariana, Miguel, Tomás, the two young men who had come from another town, and

Efraín, all walked together, united by a presence that none of them could explain,

but that they all felt within. Something great, something divine, was brewing.among

them.

Efraín led the group, his heart pounding. He couldn't stopHe wondered if he was

prepared for what lay ahead. Was he truly capable of leading these new believers?

What would that hill reveal to them this time? The questions swirled in his mind,

but the peace he had felt before still enveloped him, settling in his chest.

"Are you okay?" Tomás asked in a low voice, noticing that Efraín was walking with a

serious face.

Efraín smiled at him, although his smile was slight.

"Yes… just thinking about it," he replied. "There's a lot at stake tonight. But what's

coming is bigger than any fear."

Tomás nodded, but unease remained in his eyes. The others seemed equally

nervous, though they all stood their ground. None of them had spoken much, but

the connection between them was palpable, a silent bond that united them. They

weren't alone, and that was what mattered.

Reaching the end of the path, the hill stretched out before them, bathed in a silvery

light that seemed to emanate from the earth itself. There was something mysterious

about that place.Something told them it wasn't just a hill, but a meeting point

between the divine and the human. The air there was fresher, and the silence,

deeper.

Efraín looked up at the summit. There, in the exact spot where he had found the

first letter, a faint light now hovered in the air. It was small, but it shone.with an

intensity that did not belong to the natural world.

"Let's go," said Efraín, his voice firm, without hesitating.

They moved toward the light, their footsteps echoing on the dry ground. As they

drew nearer, the light seemed to grow larger, brighter, until finally they reached

the center of the hill. The small flame hovered above a stone, like a beacon

beckoning them.Suddenly, the light flickered and split into three, just as it had done in the

church. This time, the three llamas slowly circled them, as if assessing them. Efraín

stopped and watched the scene, not daring to take another step. The others

gathered around him, gazing at the llamas with awe and respect.

The figure she had heard spoken of in her prayers appeared, this time clearer,

more visible. It was a presence she couldn't see with her human eyes, but could

feel with her soul. The figure shone, a soft light radiating warmth and peace, and

although she couldn'tI could make out his face; I knew he was there with them,

guiding them.

A voice resonated in the air, clear and deep, like a whisper that pierced the wind

andIt went straight to the heart.

"The time has come. The fire you will ignite will not be just for yourselves. You

will witness the power of the coming light. You will be the bearers of truth, but

notwithout sacrifice."

Efraín closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the weight of the words. The fire. The

light. The sacrifice. It was greater than he had imagined. This was not just a call to

guide others, but a call to be part of something much deeper, something that

overflowed his own life.

"What should we do?" Mariana asked, her voice trembling, but firm.

The figure shone even more brightly, as if answering the question, and then the three

flames merged into one, forming a sphere of light that floatedin the air before gently

descending to the ground.

"Your path leads to the heart of darkness. The world needs the light thatYou

have received. But it will not be easy. Darkness will fight, and the path will be

arduous. But if you persevere, the light will be your guide."

The words echoed within each of them, as if everything they had experienced up to

that moment was merely a prelude to what was to come. Efraín felt the burden on

his shoulders grow heavier, but he also felt something within himSomething had

ignited within him. An inner flame he had never known before.

"Go and bring light to those who are in darkness. Do not be afraid. My presence

will be with you."

The figure began to slowly fade away, and the three flames rose into the

sky.disintegrating in the air, as if they had merged with the stars.Efraín remained silent, breathing deeply. The presence had vanished, but the

feeling of being part of something much larger remained.in her heart. She turned

her gaze to the others. They were all standing, looking up at the sky, as if they

couldn't believe what had just happened.

"Now what?" asked one of the young men who had come from another town. His

voice trembled, but there was determination in it.

Efraín looked around at each of those who were there, and felt a peaceprofound. I

wasn't alone. I never had been.

"Now," he said, his voice steady, "we are going to do what we have been called to

We are going to be the bearers of this light, and we are going to carry it to

every corner of the world that needs to see it."

He looked at Tomás, then at Mariana, at Miguel, and finally at the new young people.

—This is our mission. And there's no turning back.

The group began to descend the hill, this time with a new understanding. They

were not just individuals, but part of something larger: a community called to

illuminate the world with faith, with love, with truth.

When they arrived at the village, the first glimmer of dawn was beginning to

appear.on the horizon. The road would be long. The challenges would be many.

But Ephraim knew, with absolute certainty, that the light of God was with them.

And that light would never go out.

Upon arriving at the temple, they paused for a moment, all staring straight ahead.

Ephraim breatheddeeply, and then said:

—The journey begins now. And with us, many hearts will be illuminated.

With that statement, the seven began walking towards the temple, ready to carry

the light they had just received, ready to share it with all those who were still

walking in darkness.

And although the road ahead would be difficult, they knew that the fire that had

started on the hillIt would never become extinct.
