Chapter 49: The Last Admiral Standing
Even Akainu was surprised by Yuichi's analysis. In just ten seconds of fighting, the enemy had executed a complex, flawless battle plan.
Hancock stood next to Yuichi, looking at the Sannin swarming toward Kizaru. "Can a battle really be so complicated?"
It was normal for her to feel strange. Battles in One Piece rarely involved such intricate misdirection; they were usually decided by grit and raw power.
After Yuichi's explanation, the Marines had a clearer understanding of the threat. However, the general populace of the Pirate World viewed the Ninja World characters as monsters. To defeat two Admirals so easily? Only the Yonko could compare.
In the Ninja World, however, the ninja were cheering.
"The legendary Sannin! Their strength is incredible!"
"Now there's only one left. It should be resolved soon!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen, however, did not let his guard down. The last opponent was not left for last because he was weak, but because he was the most difficult.
Kizaru. The man who controlled light. Unparalleled speed and high attack power.
On the dueling field, Kizaru stood alone facing three opponents. His expression remained delightfully unbothered.
"Three people! It's terrible! Facing three monsters at once... I can't possibly win~"
Hearing Kizaru's drawl, the Sannin's expressions turned strange. His words were the exact opposite of his demeanor. He claimed to be cowardly, but his face suggested he was finally relieved to fight without holding back.
"Careful..." Orochimaru warned.
In the next second, a golden light shot out.
Chirp~~
Jiraiya dodged the laser beam in the nick of time.
Boom!
The beam exploded in the distance, erupting into violent flames and a shockwave that ruffled the Sannin's hair. The Jonin in the audience stopped smiling. The power of that beam was significantly higher than before.
"Speed is power! Be careful!"
Lightspeed Kick!
Golden light flashed. The moment Jiraiya landed, Kizaru appeared in front of him, his glowing leg slamming into Jiraiya's head.
Boom!
An astonishing explosion of air sent Jiraiya flying instantly.
"So fast..." Tsunade gasped.
Kizaru turned his head and locked eyes with her. He raised his leg again.
Tsunade swung her fist to meet it.
Crash!
Under the collision of the two forces, a deafening sound erupted. However, Tsunade's face turned pale. Her Chakra Enhanced Strength didn't knock Kizaru back as it had Akainu. Instead, the impact sent her flying backward.
Behind Kizaru, the hoarse roar of snakes echoed.
Kizaru didn't even fully turn. He tilted his head slightly.
A sword extended from a snake's mouth, slashing through the empty air where his face had been a millisecond before.
Kizaru had predicted the attack. Orochimaru was startled. He evaded in advance? Observation Haki?
"Be careful!"
Chirp!
A laser beam appeared instantly in front of Orochimaru, piercing through his heart.
Orochimaru stared at Kizaru with wide eyes, then slowly fell to the ground.
Whoosh!
The sound of breaking wind exploded from behind. Jiraiya rushed toward Kizaru, his right hand held high.
"Massive Rasengan!"
A giant swirling sphere of chakra formed in Jiraiya's hand.
Kizaru turned into a flash of light and jumped into the sky, crossing his arms.
"Using a big move? Then let's see whose move is better~"
Tsunade, standing in the distance, suddenly remembered the intelligence they had seen. "No! That guy wants to use that terrifying technique..."
Kizaru's voice floated down. "Yasakani no Magatama."
Chirp chirp chirp...
In an instant, the sky was filled with golden light bullets raining down, bombarding the duel field crazily. Even the auditorium was targeted, though an invisible barrier blocked the stray shots.
