Chapter 7 - Chapter 6

Years of Growth — Roy Odinson, the Silent Prodigy of Asgard

The years passed, and Asgard quietly witnessed the rise of a prince unlike any other.

Where Thor trained with brute force and Loki polished his illusions, Roy dove into magic, knowledge, and creation itself.

Roy Becomes Asgard's Youngest Arch-Mage

Frigga taught him his first spells—light manipulation, levitation, basic runes, and elemental control.

But what she didn't expect was Roy's rate of growth.

The moment Roy gained access to the palace library, the librarians panicked.

He read every book, every rune tablet, every scroll…

and memorized them after one glance.

Thanks to Great Sage, ancient and forbidden spells that took scholars centuries to understand, Roy grasped in moments.

Using that foundation, Roy began something unheard of:

He created brand-new magic from scratch.

Spells for:

matter shaping dimensional cutting silent teleportation shadow concealment rune-based barriers anti-magic fields

Frigga watched him work with awe shining in her eyes.

Frigga: "You are rewriting Asgardian magic, my son. I have never been more proud."

Loki's Determination Ignites

Loki—who once thought himself the natural magical genius—was shocked.

Seeing Roy shape runes that even Odin rarely used, Loki clenched his fists.

Loki: "Fine then. If my little brother can do it… so can I."

Roy unknowingly sparked a fire in Loki's heart.

Loki began studying seriously for the first time, chasing the brilliance of his younger brother.

They rarely competed…

but their silent rivalry shaped Loki into the great sorcerer he would one day become.

Odin's Pride… and Growing Jealousy

At first, Odin was merely impressed.

Roy created spells even the All-Father didn't recognize—spells that bent the laws of the Nine Realms.

Odin realized Roy's mind may surpass even the ancient mages of Alfheim.

Odin (muttering proudly):

"His mind… is sharper than Gungnir."

But Odin also noticed something else…

Roy spent most of his free time with Frigga.

Learning magic.

Cooking with her.

Even napping near her reading chair.

It made the All-Father grumble to himself late at night.

Odin: "Does he ever come to me for attention?"

Frigga (amused): "He does. You just fall asleep on the throne."

Thor and Loki Compete for Roy's Attention

Thor and Loki adored their youngest brother—but both wanted to be his favorite.

They tried everything:

showing off their weapons bringing him sweets teaching him to ride mini goats performing magic tricks showing him their training

But Roy rarely reacted.

He would just nod silently and return to his books.

Thor, feeling ignored, jokingly teased Roy one day:

Thor: "Little brother, do you even lift? Or are you just Frigga's tiny pet—"

He didn't finish the sentence.

Because Roy, annoyed for the first time in years, beat Thor into the floor.

Not just a tap.

Not a little push.

Thor got folded.

He spent two entire months bedridden, groaning and questioning life choices.

Odin visited him daily and simply said:

Odin: "Let this be a lesson… Never wake the sleeping dragon."

Roy went back to reading as if nothing happened.

Roy Learns Cooking — A Gift for Mother

While studying ancient magic, Roy also found interest in Midgardian cooking arts.

Frigga found it adorable and encouraged him.

Hours in the kitchen became their shared secret hobby.

Then came Frigga's birthday.

Roy worked alone that night—mixing, kneading, carving runes of preservation into the ingredients.

He presented her with a cake he made himself.

Frigga covered her mouth, eyes watering.

Frigga: "You… made this for me?"

She tasted it.

It was soft, warm, sweet—filled with genuine love, not magic.

Her heart melted entirely.

Thor gave her a golden spear.

Loki gave her enchanted jewelry.

But the cake—the effort, the love—became her favorite gift.

She hugged Roy tightly.

Frigga: "This is the sweetest thing any of my sons has made."

Odin's Jealousy… Again

When Odin heard Roy baked Frigga a cake, he nearly snarled.

Odin: "He baked you something? Personally? With his own hands?"

Frigga, smiling knowingly, cut a piece and offered it.

Odin hesitated… then took a bite.

It was good.

Too good.

He blinked and softened.

Odin: "...Hmph. The boy has talent. Perhaps I should request a cake next time."

Frigga touched his cheek teasingly.

Frigga: "Only if you stop being jealous every week."

Odin coughed and pretended not to hear.
