Chapter 62 - Chapter 62

Roy spent the following days enjoying the company of his lovers—Grayfia, Velgrynd, Velzard, Scáthach, Sif, Amora, Lorelai, Hela, Death, Infinity, Natasha, and Maria Hill. Their time together was filled with laughter, training, and shared quiet moments, strengthening the bond between them.

One afternoon, Roy's phone buzzed with a message from Tony: "Party at Avengers Tower tonight. You in?"

Roy smirked, quickly typing back: "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

He arrived early, wanting to check on Tony and Banner before the party began. In the lab, he found Tony fiddling with the scepter, and Banner analyzing energy readings.

"Tony, take a look at this," Roy said casually, gesturing to the scepter.

Tony glanced over, curiosity piqued. "Sure, what is it?"

Roy extended his hands subtly, invoking his Ultimate Skills—Wisdom Lord Metatron and Devourer King Beelzebuth. Without Tony or Banner realizing, he extracted 50% of the Mind Stone's essence, studying it for a few seconds. He felt the raw power coursing through him, then returned the scepter, now augmented with the knowledge he gained.

Tony and Banner exchanged looks. "Uh… I think it's… fine?" Tony muttered, none the wiser.

Roy chuckled softly and left them to their experiments.

Later, he arrived at the party. The Avengers Tower was buzzing with energy: familiar faces mingled, laughter and conversation echoing through the halls. Roy immediately spotted Thor, back from his two-month mission, helping the team examine the scepter.

"Thor!" Roy greeted warmly, clapping him on the shoulder.

Thor grinned. "Roy! Come to see your brother in action?"

Roy nodded and wandered through the crowd, greeting Rhodes, who was enjoying a strong drink. "Rhodes! You're drinking again?" Roy teased.

Rhodes laughed. "Someone's got to survive this chaos."

As he moved further, Roy's eyes landed on Dr. Helen Cho. Her gaze locked on him for a moment, and he noticed her heart racing slightly. He gave her a small, charming smile.

"Dr. Cho," he said, walking over. "It's been a while."

"Yes… it has," Helen murmured, clearly flustered. "You… haven't changed a bit."

Roy chuckled, exchanging a few casual words with her before noticing Tony lifting Mjolnir alongside Rhodes. Roy froze, blinking in surprise.

"Tony… you're actually trying it?" he asked, his tone a mixture of amusement and disbelief.

Tony grinned proudly. "If we can lift it, we could rule Asgard. Thought you'd like to know."

Roy shook his head, suppressing a laugh. "If you want to spend more time buried in paperwork, you can rule Asgard. Otherwise… maybe stick to being a genius billionaire playboy."

Tony laughed, dropping the hammer and sliding into a chair beside Roy. "Fair enough. Hey, speaking of plans—Pepper and I have a date coming up. Any suggestions for good spots?"

Roy smiled, pulling out a mental list. "Here, take this. Trust me, she'll love all of them." Tony jotted the notes down, looking pleased.

Suddenly, a scream echoed through the tower. Roy turned sharply to see a robot—wires dangling from its back, its face twisted in a mechanical sneer. Behind it lay a body, lifeless.

Banner's face went pale. "Name's Ultron… he just woke up. And, uh… killed someone good."

Without hesitation, the Avengers moved into action. Steve and Thor charged forward, Natasha and Barton flanked the hallways, and Banner prepared for Hulk mode.

Roy, standing slightly apart, observed the advancing robots. One by one, any robot daring to approach him met his calm but lethal reaction: a single snap of his fingers and it exploded into nothingness.

The team fought bravely, and chaos erupted through the Tower. Sparks flew, alarms blared, and the smell of scorched metal filled the air.

Finally, after what felt like hours, the battle ended—Ultron had escaped into the internet, leaving destruction behind.

Roy surveyed the scene, arms crossed, his expression calm. "Next time," he said softly, "he won't get away so easily."

Tony, still catching his breath, looked at him. "You just… snapped all those bots… like it was nothing."

Roy smirked. "They were nothing."

Banner, slightly in awe, muttered, "You really are on a whole other level, Roy."

Natasha, standing beside him, nodded proudly. "My husband always is."

And with that, the party resumed—albeit with a more cautious sense of excitement now that the Avengers knew what new threats awaited them.
