Chapter 9 - Chapter Nine

The Kingdom of "Mani," ruled by King "Sheth," appeared in the middle of the water as an absolute icon, surrounded by water as if it were an island. It was a land of waterfalls, rivers, and torrents, with breathtakingly beautiful landscapes.

Roro and Sawad reached the kingdom and stood atop a mountain, contemplating its beauty. Time passed as they gazed at it, for it looked like a ruby shimmering in the heart of the ocean.

Roro said in awe:

— "Oh, the beauty of this kingdom! I have never seen anything as beautiful as this before."

Sawad replied with frustration and bitterness:

— "That is because we used to live in a kingdom filled with filth."

At that moment, Sawad felt a surge of anger consuming her from within. Roro continued:

— "They deprived us of all this. Why? I always wondered what mistake I committed to be born in an isolated and filthy place like that."

Sawad said:

— "Do not worry, my sister. You will never live in that place again. Come, we must go."

Roro asked:

— "Sister, do you know the location of the crystal, or are we going like this without a map?"

Sawad replied:

— "I do not know. We must enter. We will let Aiden and his group be the ones to bring it to us."

Roro said:

— "It is a bad idea if we rely on them. You know that the 'Unknown' we left with them—if he allies with them—we will be among the perished."

Sawad vowed:

— "No one will touch a single hair of yours; this is a promise from me to you. Let's go."

Into the Heart of Danger

After they entered the kingdom, they felt their powers vanish due to an "Absolute Curse" lingering in the kingdom's atmosphere. They realized then that their arrival was known.

Sawad said:

— "They won't stop me, even if I become an ordinary human."

Roro added:

— "We must hide our appearance. They must have warned everyone about us."

They walked inside the kingdom wearing clothes to ensure no one would recognize them, while the kingdom was buzzing with noise, and everyone was being cautioned against them. As they walked through the streets, a man shouted at them:

— "Who are you, and why are your faces covered?!"

People gathered around them. Roro whispered:

— "Sister, we've been exposed, and our energy does not work in this kingdom because of the Absolute Curse."

Sawad pulled out a knife, intending to hurt anyone who tried to approach. But suddenly, without warning, a giant bell tolled. The city's people rushed toward a single location.

Sawad said:

— "This is our chance. We must hurry and disappear while everyone is gathered in one place."

The Shocking Surprise

While everyone stood in one spot, Sawad and Roro hid in a place to monitor the situation and see who this large gathering was for. The King emerged, accompanied by the Queen, with Aiden and his friends behind them.

Roro and Sawad were stunned when they saw them standing behind the King. The King then delivered a speech to the people, urging them to be cautious and to search every corner of the kingdom.

Sawad marched forward with confident steps, saying: "Let's go, the crystal is in the palace." Roro stopped her, asking: "How do you know?" Sawad replied, pointing her finger: "Look, Aiden and his friends are with them... they must have preceded us and found it. As long as everyone is occupied with the speech, this is our chance to enter."

Anxiety did not leave Roro's features as she said: "Sister, the palace is full of guards, how will we get in?" Sawad replied with a mysterious smile: "Do not worry, I have a plan."

The Infiltration Plan

The two sisters stood at the back entrance of the palace, the passage designated for transporting supplies. The security there was extremely tight, as the guards were scrutinizing every cart and shipment that entered. They did not wait long; instead, they moved quickly and kidnapped the driver of one of the carts, knocking him to the ground until he lost consciousness.

Sawad hurried to put on his clothes, followed by Roro, and then they drove the cart toward the gate. The guards stopped them sternly:

— "Where are the entry papers?"

Roro handed over the documents, saying coldly: "Here."

The guard ordered: "We must search the cart first." After a careful inspection, he signaled for them to pass: "Enter and go to the left wing; they will unload these shipments there."

Once inside, they pretended to let the guards unload the goods and then slipped away. In the blink of an eye, they lunged at two guards, kidnapped them, and put on their military uniforms to walk through the corridors as if they were part of the palace garrison.

The Radiance of the Crystal

Roro whispered in awe as she contemplated the gilded corridors: "Oh, the beauty of the Kingdom of 'Angie'! It seems King Sheth takes good care of it. The palace is so large I might lose consciousness from its extreme beauty."

They walked through the long palace halls until they reached a closed room, with two heavily armed guards standing at its door. Sawad said in a low voice: "I do not possess my power now, but I have a strong feeling... the crystal is emitting auras, and it is inside this room."

Roro asked: "How will we enter with the guards like this?"

Sawad replied: "I will distract them, and you sneak in and bring it... agreed?"

— "Agreed."

Sawad approached the two guards and began skillfully conversing with them, making them fully engaged with her and distracted from the door. At that moment, Roro slipped inside. Her eyes fixed on the crystal; it was a magical blue color emitting a captivating radiance. She whispered to herself: "I am in love with this kingdom." She carried the crystal carefully and exited quickly.

The Grand Chase

Elsewhere in the palace, Aiden suddenly panicked and said: "The crystal has moved from its place!"

The six—Aiden, Rima, Akina, Silver, William, and Taiju—started running madly toward the room. Meanwhile, Sawad had dealt quick blows to the two guards, knocking them unconscious to the ground. Roro shouted: "Let's go!"

Aiden and his companions reached the room to find the guards lying down and the crystal gone. Aiden shouted as he tracked the scent: "Follow me! I feel the crystal in this direction."

Roro and Sawad ran through the corridors, but they suddenly reached a dead end. Before them was nothing but a huge glass window stretching from the ceiling to the floor. They tried to turn back, but their feet froze in place; Aiden and the rest had arrived and blocked the path of retreat.

They had fallen into the trap; they could not go back, and they could not move forward except by jumping from the window. Sawad looked outside in terror; the window overlooked a roaring river, and she did not know how to swim at all....
