Chapter 129 - Chapter 129: The Apprenticeship Banquet and the Princess's Super Request

The next few days were hell for the half-fishmen in the Evil God's Cave.

After figuring out the general routes within the cave, Guilliman donned the Nightingale Mask he bought from Francesca and directly infiltrated the cave.

This was a magical mask that enhanced stealth effects, capable of enveloping his body in shadow.

With its help, the Witcher's stealth capabilities were significantly improved.

Combined with the effects of the subsequently upgraded [Out-of-Body Experience] LV3, he could use the ability of a soul clone to detect enemy movements in advance.

He used three half-fishman slaves to conduct a massive assassination campaign within the Evil God's Cave.

Sometimes, it didn't even matter if he was discovered by some half-fishmen; as long as he eliminated that wave of half-fishmen before their reinforcements arrived, it was a perfect stealth mission.

That's right, eliminating all enemies was the perfect assassination.

Using this berserker-stealth method, Guilliman advanced, memorizing all the terrain in the entire cave, and also used his storage space to collect all the killed bodies, which was truly miraculous and undetectable.

Later, he even replaced the three half-fishman slaves with three stronger, higher-ranking mutated half-fishmen.

The assassination methods were no longer limited to direct or forced assassinations.

For example, poisoning, luring, living bombs, turning enemies against each other, and coordinating from inside and out were used interchangeably, greatly increasing efficiency.

Guilliman even grew to enjoy this assassination game.

Like solving a dungeon game, each small cave and each wave of small monsters became a small puzzle, testing his wisdom and strength.

Originally, before advancing to the transcendent realm, he thought he would need a small team of Witchers and sorceresses, like in a maze-exploring game, to continuously explore and conquer the Evil God's Cave.

However, he didn't expect that with the [Soul Contract] skill, he could complete the exploration of the Evil God's Cave all by himself.

It was a super skill for clearing maps and grinding monsters, giving him an overwhelming advantage against monster races weaker than himself.

Before the apprenticeship banquet began, most of his energy was focused on clearing out the Evil God's Cave.

Almost every day, hundreds of half-fishmen were killed by him, and whenever he returned to the temporary camp with so many corpses, everyone looked at him with even greater admiration and astonishment.

It was hard to imagine a lone Witcher killing hundreds of monsters every day, even if they were low-level half-fishmen.

The most delighted were the Troll race; even the gluttonous Troll simpletons preferred fresh fish.

Thus, they worked even harder.

As for the other Witchers and mercenaries, their task, with the help of the Troll race, was to conduct a thorough survey of the entire Black Tern Island.

Things like mineral veins, caves, forests, rivers, lakes, and the distribution of monsters all needed to be clearly identified.

Guilliman did not ask them to kill the weaker monsters, but powerful monsters also needed to be marked.

After all, these might be left for the young Witchers as practical combat targets after the Witcher Academy was established in the future.

It was also an initial attempt at a monster farming plan.

Time flew by, and it was soon time for Arvin's formal apprenticeship banquet.

By now, Guilliman was a prominent figure in Vizima, with many friends and relatives.

It was a rare joyous occasion, so he directly booked the best tavern in the commercial district, a tavern large enough to accommodate a hundred people dining simultaneously, for the guests' entertainment.

His invited guests included several sorceresses he knew well.

He invited almost everyone: Witchers from the Wolf School, Witchers from the Bear School, female friends like Shani, as well as Blackbeard and some of his subordinates, plus some useful contacts he had in Vizima.

Anyway, the tavern, capable of holding over a hundred people, was almost entirely filled with his guests, and laughter and joy filled the air.

However, the most distinguished guest at the banquet was probably Princess Adda.

Originally, Guilliman hadn't invited her, as her noble status made it unsuitable for her to appear in such a bustling urban area.

Adda, however, heard the news from somewhere and, under the protection of Siegfried, the commander of the Order of the Flaming Rose, made a surprise appearance.
