Chapter 256 - İki Yüz Elli Altı

"No, no I'm not joking; that stupid man attacked us with magic from afar even though there was a druid in our group!"

When the hulking orc established at the head of the table released his laughter, which he had barely hidden until the end of his speech, everyone except Nafız would laugh as if they heard the funniest joke in their lives.

"How can a human be this ignorant; did that mage grow up in a cave or something?"

The human warrior carrying a large crossbow on his back would speak in astonishment; he seemed to expect an explanation from the druids at the table.

"Not ignorance, this is called arrogance!"

The tall man striking the embroidered wooden staff in his hand to the ground was in as much arrogance as the person he accused; evidently, his bottom line was tested with this move.

"Some mages think they can surpass our protective shield skill when they get a little stronger; unfortunately, this becomes a big mistake, and as a result, they pay the price with their lives!"

The second druid in the group was a middle-aged woman with an attractive physique; she was so calm while clarifying the subject that not even the slightest change occurred in her breathing.

"The fool insisted on attacking until the end; even when I shattered his head with my hands, there were still some magical words in his mouth!"

The orc warrior, finishing the giant glass in front of him in one gulp, would continue the conversation as if telling an ordinary event from his daily life; although she tried not to show it, Nafız was very surprised at what she heard.

Although she was aware of the presence of someone watching her for a long time, she couldn't help but lend an ear to the conversations; after what she heard, some ideas had sprouted in her mind, but she knew she couldn't verify these with the people she was currently with.

"My friends, thank you for sharing your drink with me; now I ask your permission to see an old friend!"

Although events developed in a weird way, Nafız liked what happened very much; especially the fact that the team at the table had fun all together without getting stuck on the invisible barrier formed between races would awaken some feelings she hadn't felt before.

No matter how much she wanted to stay with them, the female orc had a place to go; after saying goodbye, she was walking toward the mysterious person sitting alone in a corner at the other end of the square.

Nafız was taking her every step fast and decisively, just like her friend Alyon surrounded by enemies on all four sides in the middle of the battlefield.

The grey-haired orc, liberating himself from time and space, had already declared the area with a twenty-meter diameter around him a death zone.

The only end awaiting the enemies entering inside was his mighty axe's cold steel taking their lives; Alyon was like a black hole suddenly appearing in the giant war field.

This situation would attract the attention of more people gradually; enemy commanders were naturally within this group.

"Dispatch elite troops to that region immediately!"

The dynamics of the pitched battle could change at any moment; only a strong spark and sufficient time were enough for a small fire to grow and cover the entire area.

This was why the commanders receiving the order sent elite warriors against the grey-haired orc; when the weak soldiers driven to the front line withdrew, those taking their places would start the job very aggressively.

"Yes, this is it! I had started getting bored of crushing weak insects too!"

Alyon, taking at least one life with every swing of his giant axe, was now face to face with a resistance that would challenge him; both in terms of power and ability to move coordinately, the newcomers were a few levels above the others.

Not only did they protect themselves, but they were also inflicting various wounds on the hulking orc they took among them; it seemed the storm blowing just a moment ago had subsided.

"Die, dirty orc!"

"Your era is closing; the time has come to pay the price for what you made us suffer for years!"

With every blow they landed, the elites were also shouting the hatred accumulating inside them; opposite Alyon, there were people hating him in a way that penetrated down to their bones.

"Insolent dogs!"

Lord's Frenzy

When the besieged orc warrior decided to reveal all his cards, he shouted with rage; while the black-colored phenomenon forming around him pushed the elite warriors away, he himself was also clad in the same color.

The course of the struggle would change dramatically once more, but nothing on earth could change as fast as Ainle's facial expression these days.

"You said Druids and Orcs were two races ruling the whole world, right; I must have heard wrong?"

"Isn't it very hard to believe? Looking at their current pathetic states, it is very normal for you to think so, young druid; you aren't even aware of what your own race is capable of!"

When the woman, beautiful enough to make those looking at her breathless even in normal times, placed a bitter smile on her lips upon finishing her words, Ainle's heart would stop beating.

Fortunately, the goddess returned to her old demeanor rapidly; while the poor druid, whose breath was cut, tried to come to his senses, she would open the dusty pages of history again.

"A domination lasting for thousands of years, a will making all humans bow down; the flawless union of the strongest attack and the most magnificent defense!"

"I guess you have known orcs a little; superior physical features and a consciousness that internalized savagery, as long as you give weapons in their hands, there is no one they cannot massacre!"

"So, young druid, what do you know about the characteristics of your ancestors?"

Although Ainle seemed to be thinking, he was actually just ashamed; he knew nothing other than the ability to manipulate a few low-class plants he saw from his mother and other roots.

This state of his would ensure the woman, the representation of perfection on earth, became sad; how had the race once most skillful in magic fallen to this situation?

"Ainle, your ancestors possessed the strongest defense and support abilities this world has seen; the number of warriors capable enough to kill a druid of the same level wouldn't exceed the fingers of one hand!"

"Don't be surprised; our real power was much more than this. If there was also an orc beside us, we could easily challenge humans two, even three levels above ourselves!"

How could poor Ainle not be surprised; the situation as of that moment was like someone living in a shack for years learning his grandfather was Croesus.

Everyone outside the sacred shield protecting them was gods impossible to defeat for him; now, he was listening in astonishment that his ancestors were strong enough to treat these people like sacrificial sheep.

Apart from the young druid, one more person entering the dungeon was about to enter a deep conversation; Nafız stood right in front of the owner of the eyes watching her for a long time.

"Wouldn't you sit, orc warrior; you can't have come all this way to stand over my head?"

The person speaking was an old man with a stubbly beard; he had a very miserable appearance because patches covered his torn clothes.

However, this camouflage couldn't deceive Nafız's eyes; the female orc could see very clearly his vitality overflowing outside and the intensity of the blood flowing madly in his veins.

"I am aware that I am inside a dream, and as far as I feel, the subject must be connected to you in some way!"

After what he heard, the miserable-looking man would burst into mad laughter; after scanning the orc opposite him from head to toe, a pleased expression appeared slowly on his face.

"Dream or reality, according to what should we make this distinction? Look around you for a moment; the energy in the square, the frequencies emitted by living creatures, do you think they are completely fake?"

There was a kind of mystery in the old man's voice; this was an unyielding will preventing it from being ignored, possessing the nature of a wild mare running at full gallop toward the depths of the listener's mind.
