Chapter 267 - İki Yüz Altmış Yedi

Days where silence prevailed on the Wild Swamp continent had lasted very short; units landing on the shore from places ruled by the Machine Empire and Lands of Light were gathering rapidly.

Forces, which were lying in ambush to strangle each other just yesterday, had become a single fist against the enemy coming from the past.

"Thank you all for choosing me for the command of the attack!"

After the words of the man speaking with a deep voice reinforcing the serious air emitted by his bright military clothes traveled a round inside the large cloth tent, everyone's expectant looks would turn onto him.

"Dragan, you had the opportunity to watch our enemy's abilities firsthand; can you give us some information?"

The person who would lead the forces of four civilizations was Dragan, one of the four envoys who came together on the continent before.

The woman gliding like a swan inside her silk clothes while asking him for information was none other than the commander leading a force of five hundred thousand people on behalf of the Lands of Light.

"Maria de León Bello y Delgado, I will present all details to you in a report, but before that, there is a subject I must be sure of!"

In this part of his speech, Dragan turned his gaze to the man standing at the other end of the simple wooden table they gathered around; this person, scratching his goatee possessing the same color as his hair falling on his shoulder accompanied by a sly smile, was none other than the commander present here on behalf of the Hell Realm.

"Do you think we will stop fighting with the enemy and attack each other instead, mercenary?"

The character of the individual known by the name Severo was at least as famous as his striking external appearance; even if he said his own name, people would remain in uneasiness about whether he spoke the truth or a lie.

"Being the second man of the Black Lily Clan isn't worth a dime here; rest assured that I will do whatever I can for you to be punished by the Royal Family at your slightest mistake!"

Dragan hadn't hesitated to show his teeth when he encountered attitudes not recognizing his authority; while he took the lead with the joint decision of four civilizations, he didn't want to deal with the spoiled heir of a small clan.

"The world is small, mercenary; I believe we will experience an unexpected meeting when our job here is done!"

Severo had no intention of stepping back; for Dragan, the wolf soldier of years, this threat felt as natural as asking how are you to someone he saw every day. If someone wanted to scare him, they had to push their imagination.

"Commander, the numbers and features of our new war machines are present in the files delivered to you; I will ask you to take these into consideration while preparing the attack plan!"

The young man present here on behalf of the Machine Empire would come to the rescue of the commander stuck between two allies who were archenemies.

This person, having his golden-yellow hair cut right below his ears, gave the feeling of being watched by a mechanical device while examining the sides with his sky-blue eyes.

"Since every civilization sent its own freak here, it means we will have quite a lot of fun; you can handle the boring tactical talks with my assistant!"

Severo, leaving the tent while his black cloak waved in the air, resembled a child mixing spoiledness with arrogance; the only reason he became rude thinking he didn't receive enough attention was that his father, the clan leader, fulfilled whatever he wanted until today.

For the other three people aware of his nature, this wasn't a loss but on the contrary, a nice opportunity allowing them to plan comfortably. When they laid all cards in their hands on the table, the picture wasn't far from being awe-inspiring; in addition to a human force of two and a half million, they had five hundred thousand mechanical devices in their hands.

According to the calculations they made, the time required for the order to be established and for them to march on their targets was only a week; three commanders came together and made the decision. The final battle would start ten days from now at the place where the Main Druid Settlement was.

In the druid community unaware of what was happening on their homeland, the wave of joy had left its place to winds of anxiety where worries reigned.

Only three people weren't affected by this situation; sitting calmly inside the Sacred Tree, they were discussing what they could do.

"I need to take one last step to complete my inheritance, and I don't know how long this will take!"

Ainle wanted to meet on the pyramid and take everything the goddess whose heir he was left to him; although making such important moves while war was at the door seemed dangerous, they were obliged to do this to change the course of events.

"I understand you; you must do whatever is necessary!"

When Nafız supported his idea, the young druid took a deep breath; maybe the anxious crowd outside didn't know the two orcs, but he was quite clear about what the green creatures in front of him were capable of.

"Can you tell my kinsmen not to give up believing in themselves!"

While looking at Ainle, who started meditating silently after his last word, the grey-haired orc felt an indescribable happiness inside; although he wasn't aware, this was nothing but two people very close to realizing their own transformations silently approving each other.

"Come on let's go out Alyon; let's see what we have in hand!"

After patting her friend on the shoulder, Nafız walked toward the outside of the giant tree with calm but rhythmic steps; druid warriors coming back over the Orc Steppes would become serious instantly as soon as they saw her. When they understood that what they lived together was only the tip of the iceberg, they had realized what kind of person they actually faced.

"Sir, we are waiting for your orders!"

With the effects of the intense training they went through and the two dungeons they entered left on them, druids had stripped themselves from the claws of fear and started thinking about what they could do for the struggle awaiting them.

"You don't need to do anything special; you will fight the way you were taught!"

Druids, whose numbers barely reached a thousand, had shown their order consisting of ten units of a hundred people from the moment they came to the settlement.

Every unit stayed in the place prepared for them and worked in a machine order to meet their food, shelter, and training needs.

Although the elders who sustained their lives inside the settlement only felt the fear of the approaching war, this new situation had ensured completely different feelings formed on the young druids.

Sometimes, at moments when they saw power animals appearing for a job that needed to be done, they screamed shaking the earth and sky, and formed a military hierarchy within themselves by imitating the movements of druid warriors who received the captain rank.

As days passed, the only change occurring on the Main Druid Settlement would be the new formation in green color covering the entire area instead of the old shield shrinking slowly and becoming small enough to surround only the Great Tree after a while.

The elders, getting thoroughly uneasy, had to throw their fears inside silently; no matter what, they thought they didn't have the right to demoralize the youth preparing to fight bravely.

Fear had no benefit against death anyway; sounds reaching the ears in the first hours of the morning had heralded that the expected time had come to all surviving druids.

There were enemies as far as the eye could see opposite them; it was as if the whole world had come side by side to march on a handful of druids.

"Sir, the enemy has entered our field of vision. We estimate they possess a force of over two million warriors and almost half a million mechanical devices!"

Alyon would spend the entire night standing as if he guessed this situation; the grey-haired orc's sharpening warrior instincts had warned him that danger was approaching gradually.

"What do you say Nafız, they finally came!"

Seeing his friend watching the enemies appearing right in front of the horizon line dive into thoughts, Alyon had spoken silently but in a serious tone.

"They will go as they come!"

There was something the grey-haired orc warrior didn't know; his friend was here physically, but a scene she recalled with admiration in her old life was turning constantly in her mind.
