Chapter 289 - İki Yüz Seksen Dokuz

Purple clouds and golden dusts were mixing with each other in front of the scrawny orc; Maria de León, whose biggest attack was blocked, was watching what happened breathlessly.

After a while, the two substances started to take shape slowly; a purple body with golden stripes rising on its four legs formed. Then, first a long neck and a snake head appeared; new ones rapidly followed this limb which was golden colored on the purple body.

A few breaths later, not much, there were five snake heads on the body of the creature formed of purple gas and golden dusts.

"Attack, Five-Headed King Cobra!"

Bookworm had created a new life from materials under his dominance; he wanted to destroy his weakened opponent in this way. The creature, whose height and width reached ten meters, advanced toward the commander of the Lands of Light forces with big steps.

"Shield of Light!"

Maria de León formed a protection shield with her remaining power; seeing the obstacle appearing in front of it, the Five-Headed King Cobra attacked the barrier made of light with all its strength without pausing even for a moment.

Neither the attacks of the new creature resembled previous poison attacks, nor did the soul power of the beautiful woman resemble the moment she started the war.

With every hit, the Shield of Light was shaking madly, giving the impression to those watching that it would break any moment. This technique didn't last long anyway; first a thick crack appeared on it, then it shattered into smithereens.

The beautiful woman scattering blood from her mouth would be thrown meters back; this blow had left her in a difficult situation spiritually as much as physically.

Then something unexpected happened; Maria de León left the area she fought in and took action toward a place very far away.

Bookworm was surprised but when he saw his enemy's direction, he only got angry; the disciple of the Lands of Light was flying to where his son was.

He went after her immediately; together with the Five-Headed snake following him, he started looking for the opportunity to finish her off.

At the same moments, the war had heated up gradually in the region Maria de León headed to; the Elite Ten clashing with shadow bodies created by Dragan were exhibiting all their abilities.

The half-orc had left this task to them for a long time and taken the Number Two of the Black Lilies under pressure together with the Severo copy he created himself.

The orc warrior, exhibiting a stance based on defense at the beginning of the struggle, had entered full attack mode with his two daggers; using his agile physique, he had opened many wounds on his opponent's body.

"Black Lily bastard, your death will be from my hand!"

Severo wasn't weak enough not to handle a two-on-one fight, but he couldn't prevent his power leaking from cuts created by the half-orc's dagger.

No matter how hard he tried, he hadn't been able to prevent a small amount from leaving him. Who was this orc? As if he had rushed from the pits of Hell to punish his clan and come before him.

He could repel, redirect, steal soul attacks, and worst of all, he could nullify the power of someone using soul energy with his weapon. How could Severo know that the young orc experienced the Soul Curse from the moment his mother fell into the womb? The actions of Astute, whom they appointed as the City Lord of Parthenia, had prepared his end.

When he looked around in fear, bodies created by the parchment prepared with his father's great labor and consuming many resources were turning into grey dust. He remained all alone; three more orc warriors tempered with the fire of war would now join the two people chasing him.

"Soul Cage!"

Severo shouted by swinging his sword violently around himself; within a second, a storm in which screaming souls swam had appeared around him. Dense fog would cover the area of twenty meters in diameter; his clone and the half-orc had been forced to cut their attacks.

When twenty breaths passed, the fog had dispersed; only a three-sided area on which suffering souls swam and Severo inside it remained.

The Number Two of the Black Lily Clan had been forced to apply the technique they used to imprison their enemies on himself; judging by his bent waist and frequent panting, this was his last resort.

"Severo!"

While the long-haired man adjusted his breath, his enemies had come right to the bottom of the barrier; he was expecting this but raised his head up with amazement after the voice coming from the sky.

"I know you have that talisman on you too. We have to use it right now, otherwise neither of us can get out of here alive!"

"Holy Virgin, have you thought about the consequences?"

Severo knew what was mentioned but seemed to have some reservations.

"If the talisman is in your hand, the person giving it is also aware of this; if we use it together, we won't only get out of here alive but can also win the war at the same time!"

This was a very satisfying offer; the Number Two of the Black Lilies wouldn't be able to say no.

"Let's do it, Maria de León!"

There were hundreds of meters between commanders of the Army of Four Civilizations, but both possessed the crystal appearing in their hands at the same time.

One of these was bright enough to illuminate the sky darkened by Bookworm's creature, and the other was dark enough to ensure the souls of those seeing it were withdrawn.

"Ancestor Talisman Open!"

Severo inside his cage and the beautiful woman in the sky where she floated had said the same words; crystals breaking free from their hands and taking off were shining accompanied by a great noise.

Earth and sky were shaking; with a light bright enough to blind eyes, a grey fog coming from the depths of darkness had covered the entire area. This situation lasted for ten breaths, then the two phenomena had gathered toward where the two commanders were as if being sucked by something.

"So you remained this helpless, what a great shame!"

Beside the woman whose appearance was disheveled, an old man shining like a god descended from the sky had appeared; after scanning the battlefield with his eyes, he was speaking with his nose in the air.

"My mighty father, this incompetent daughter of yours embarrassed you!"

Maria de León spoke with a fragile tone of voice while her palms and forehead touched the ground; in this way, everyone watching them learned that the person appearing suddenly was her father.

"The third elder of the Golden Crown, I didn't expect them to go this far!"

Bookworm knew the identity of the person emerging, he was even aware of why he was here. He shouted immediately toward the half-orc fighting on the ground.

"My son retreat, our enemies proved they are a handful of cowards!"

Information about what the Ancestor Talisman was existed in him; it was a kind of magic crystal used to protect people with blood ties. By sealing at most ten percent of his power inside, a person could create his clones to protect his loved ones when needed.

Although it seemed like a magnificent method, it meant a great loss for the person sealing his power inside. If the clone, starting to consume power from the moment it was used, died, its creator lost a significant part of his cultivation.

"You useless thing, damn the day you were born. I should have listened to your mother and left you to die long ago!"

Besides the man appearing in the sky, there was also someone wearing a grey robe with black lily patterns on it where Severo, who imprisoned himself in the cage, was. From the moment he appeared, he was both shouting and beating the long-haired man imprisoned together inside the cage.

"Forgive me father, they trapped us by hiding their powers!"

The man with the grey robe wasn't stopping; while scanning around with his eyes, he continued kicking Severo who fell flat on his face.

"Not only did you use two parchments I prepared against a handful of animals, but you also fell into a helpless situation enough to imprison yourself inside this cage. Get out of my sight, scoundrel!"

The last kick of the newcomer had been very strong; even his son shattering the technique by hitting the wall of the soul cage while being thrown was the proof of the applied force in itself.

"You ensured I consumed a part of my soul essence; today the souls of all of you are mine!"

A magic circle had started to appear on the ground under the feet of the man with the grey robe; at the same moments, there was a similar image in the sky too.
