Chapter 399 - Üç Yüz Doksan Dokuz

"I can't believe it, the people here love my mother and sister so much!"

"Only them? I think they loved you a lot too!"

The team led by Nafız was advancing through the narrow corridors; Lareina was sharing what she experienced all day with Jashua. While the moonlight entering through the small windows illuminated their path, one person was not in a good mood at all.

"Little rats, they died before I could try two techniques!"

Nafız, who escaped the stampede at the entrance, wanted to train after coming out of a six-hundred-year seclusion; she couldn't find someone to her measure at all. When her stroll among the mercenaries also yielded no results, only one option was left, but it seemed quite impossible to separate that option from the girl next to him right now.

"They say those who break a home won't have a home. Well, I have no such expectation in this life, but still, shouldn't we block the options?"

Seeing Nafız smiling slyly while muttering to herself, the five took two steps further back and started walking. After what happened on the road, they couldn't approach the red-haired girl.

"What is this shield about?"

When Jashua could take his eyes off Lareina's face, he could see the energy shield in front of them. Whereas Nafız had been looking at him for five breaths.

"What sharp attention, you noticed the shield in front of us immediately!"

Jashua couldn't make a sound; he knew answering her in such situations wasn't a good option.

"Anyway, Lareina are you ready?"

Lareina, wearing a dress leaving her shoulders exposed, answered by nodding her head down. Nafız looked at her for a long time; there was a mountain of difference between the state they first saw her and her current appearance. Love truly made a person beautiful.

"You guys wait here!"

Nafız, smiling at Jashua and the five she pushed aside with her hand, took Lareina and stepped inside the barrier. The others couldn't come, but right at this moment, a pleasant female voice drifted through the narrow corridor.

"Let Jashua come too!"

Even if the others didn't know, Nafız knew very well who the voice belonged to. This retaliation coming just while she was showing off didn't please her at all. Although Jashua didn't dare to puff up, he straightened his head thoroughly and walked making himself look taller than he was.

After the three people entered, they started climbing the spiral stairs to go up the tower; as for the five they left behind, they waited until they disappeared from sight and tried the barrier. Unfortunately, there was no permission for them to pass; leaning their backs against the wall, they took a meditation stance. There wasn't even a breath to waste; the presence of the two monsters standing before them had made their desire to develop hit the ceiling.

When the trio reached where the steep and narrow stairs ended, Nafız was surprised for a moment. Where there was no one before, now a pleasant woman was waiting for them.

"Mother!"

Lareina started running. The tears streaming from her eyes were falling to the ground faster than her steps.

"Lareina, my dear daughter!"

The woman got up from the chair she sat on and hugged the girl running to her; how much they resembled each other.

"Mother, you are alive. I can't believe my eyes, you are alive mother!"

Lareina thought her mother was alive; no one could blame her for this. Even Nafız, who knew how realistically people in the legacy dungeons manifested, could say she was truly alive.

"My beautiful daughter, unfortunately, I died a very long time ago. This image of my consciousness you see, I was waiting to help you receive my legacy."

Nafız now understood very clearly what the words "bring the worthy one" meant. Isabel was guarding this dungeon only for her daughter Lareina.

"No, I cannot take it. If I do, you will completely disappear!"

Isabel, manifesting in a sky-blue outfit, was stroking the head of her daughter hugging her arm and crying; sorrow had settled into the small room like thick curtains.

"This is my destiny, and at the same time, receiving my legacy is your destiny. The path of your sister Mora was your father's path. She advanced in the light of her wrist and blood techniques. You resemble me; you are the only person who can use my ability that I brought here from my previous life!"

Jashua startled hearing the word previous life; turning his head and looking at Nafız, he found her in an unresponsive state. The Young Count understood that she learned Nafız and Alyon's secret when they entered the legacy dungeon, but what was this previous life thing.

"Also, you are luckier than your sister; you are starting the path together with someone you can trust!"

Isabel's eyes turned to Jashua. When the subject came to him, the Young Count put aside the thoughts in his head and turned his attention to the mother and daughter in front of him.

"No matter what happens, I promise to be by Lareina's side until the end!"

Jashua said what came from his heart in one breath; with his thick eyebrows completing his sharp facial features and upright stance, he completely stood behind his word.

"Orc warrior Nafız carrying Mora's consciousness, did you stop using her?"

The woman swaying in blues focused her gaze on the red-haired girl. Meanwhile, hearing her sister's name, Lareina also turned towards that direction.

"A long time ago!"

"Yes! Six hundred years is enough to say a long time!"

Isabel seemed to see everything; it was evident from her every state that she was the only ruler inside the legacy dungeon. In contrast to her, Jashua's eyes opened wide; since he lived six days as a year himself, he couldn't believe Nafız's situation.

"When the time comes, I will do what is necessary, but first you need to do your part."

After Nafız's words, Isabel extended her hand into the void and took out a ring from the splitting air. Then holding Lareina's hand, she gently slipped it onto her right ring finger.

"My beautiful daughter, my entire legacy is yours from today on!"

A light that would blind eyes flashed and then suddenly went out; the room was plunged into darkness. Isabel was gone along with the light, and this time it was felt that her existence was erased.

"Mother…!"

Lareina fell to her knees; Jashua immediately appeared right beside her. No one knew, but in the last burst of light, two words had echoed inside his mind.

"Protect my daughter!"

Jashua began his duty immediately. The Young Count with unshakable duty consciousness couldn't turn down this request.

"Lareina, are you okay?"

Jashua, taking her small face between his huge hands, met a scene he never expected when he turned his lover towards himself to see her condition. Her previously dull gray eyes had taken on a sea-blue color and were looking exactly into his eyes.

"Lareina, you?"

He had looked at her face many times until today, but for the first time, he found his lover's eyes focused on him.

"Yes, I see. I see you, myself, my surroundings, and even much more!"

The young girl's expression was of the kind supporting what she said; her soft aura had now become a bit more angular.

"How do you feel?"

Nafız joined her two hands on her chest; she didn't seem surprised at all by the change in the young girl.

"I can see my sister; you are not letting her wander in your veins?"

When Lareina's eyes went up to a completely different level, she started seeing Mora inside Nafız.

"Yes, I have a promise to her. For the last time, I want her to fight as she wishes!"

Lareina must have been satisfied with the answer she received that she didn't prolong the subject; leaning on Jashua whose hand she held, she headed towards the steep stairs.

"Let's rest tonight, we will set out tomorrow. Our business here is done!"

Lareina spoke in her usual soft tone, but what she said surprised everyone. For the first time since they met the young girl, they were seeing her trying to direct things.
