Saturday and Sunday were just for work, but today I have to go to the university. With absolutely no motivation, I got up, showered, got dressed, then put a laptop in my backpack and left.
I felt half-asleep during the journey. Then, when I arrived at school, I got through my classes without much fanfare.
Most teachers cover things I already have memorized, and I'm capable of learning most topics in one night, so I just sleep during these classes.
After finishing my assignments and activities, it was time for me to go to the theater club. Well, it's really more of an acting club; it's useful for learning the basics of acting.
My friend is actually in this group. He got me in because he wanted to spend more time with me. Besides, I'm interested in learning about this...
In my mind's eye, a girl with amber eyes and beautiful black hair appeared; her smile was warm, but it radiated something unsettling.
Bitch. My jaw tensed upon seeing that image.
I realized I had stopped in the middle of the hallway. Once aware, I started walking again toward the club.
Besides the theater club, I'm also in a reading club, but I only go when I see there are books that interest me.
When I entered, I saw a cluster of people. Everyone was surrounding one person.
I pulled my friend from among the crowd. "What are they giving away?" I asked in a joking tone.
"A new girl just joined today. She's a very beautiful woman from Orbec. She's a stunning woman who's been in several magazines. She said she wants to be an actress."
"Hmm, look how interesting. What's her name?" I turned to look at the crowd of people.
"Himari," Sameru said in a nonchalant tone.
I quickly tried to get a look at her. With my height, I could see much more easily than others, so I saw her.
A woman of average height, pretty, red hair, and murky crimson eyes. She looks exactly like the girl from the story.
"Sameru, are you sure you only know her from magazines?" I asked, concerned.
"Yeah, why?" I didn't answer.
Based on Sameru's reaction, he no longer has memories of her. Also, from what I see, most people here are from the theater club, so no one would recognize her as the woman from a manhwa...
God, does this mean our realities have merged? What happened?
I stopped dead in my tracks as I realized something was wrong. For now, I'm just going to act normally until she's available to talk.
A small sigh escaped my mouth as I started walking toward a chair. After sitting down, I reclined and started to fall asleep.
Soon, I felt a small nudge. Sameru was in front of me, with Himari at his side. The girl extended her hand to me, but I just stared at her intently for several seconds, not moving.
Soon, Sameru leaned close to me, putting his mouth inches from my ear. "Hey, stop acting like that. You know if you keep this up, you'll just end up making Himari dislike you?"
"Why do I want her to like me? Besides, you're weirder than I am."
"What are you talking about? Your name is Uragiri, and from a distance, you look emo. More than that, you're way too antisocial." My friend's tone was a little angry.
"I look it, but I'm not."
"You're right, you're not emo. You're a stupid edgelord who thinks he's better than everyone else. Stand up and greet her. You don't want another popular person saying bad things about you, do you?"
I was about to kick Sameru away, but I have to admit he's right. "Fine, now move so I can introduce myself."
Sameru stepped aside, then moved away from me.
I brought my hand to hers and then shook it. "Uragiri. I'm 23, studying robotics." I tried to look at her carefully, but the only detail I could notice was a gray teddy bear with an X for a mouth hanging from her skirt.
"Hi! My name is Himari, I'm..." I directed my gaze elsewhere. I saw a guy showing off his muscles, I saw the club leaders flirting, and I remembered I needed to check how much I'd spend at the supermarket on Sunday. "It's nice to meet you," she said with a smile on her face. I didn't hear half of what she said.
"Likewise." After finishing our 'conversation,' I stood up to go home. I already saw the rehearsal schedules. In fact, I won't be acting until next Wednesday because my character appears in a later stage of the play.
I quickly left the uni, then took the road home.
For the rest of the week, I skipped the clubs and slept during classes, on top of working all the extra time I had.
When Sunday morning arrived, I got ready to go out, then went to buy food at 3:26 PM. While on my way to the shop, I heard muffled cries for help. I peeked into an alley and saw a woman being restrained by a strange man.
an incense I had lit
It's Himari. She has her pendant, and her red hair is unmistakable. Even knowing the person in danger, I ignored it. But before I could leave, I managed to see her being stabbed in the heart.
A feeling of unreality hit me. Everything before me shattered, and I felt an enormous heaviness. Before I could even react visually, I could smell last week. Sunday. I grabbed my phone and saw the date: Monday, April 29th.
