I caught back up with Charles. It was easy to find him there was a giant streak on the ground of Chaos Beast blood. It draws many weaker Chaos Beast to drink the blood. "My god, are you sure you're not tired?" Alice asked both of her hands to clasped together. As if she was praying to something.
"I am fine. You sound like Valtina." Charles muttered.
"Sounds like what?" I asked, landing on his shoulder.
"You." Charles said harshly. As I start to fly. Hitting him again and again. "Ow. Ow. Ow! Please I beg for mercy." Charles said, trying to shield his head with his arm. I stopped and landed on his shoulder.
"Think about what you did wrong." I said huffing I don't worry about him that much.
"What was that again?" Charles asked. Why does he have to be clueless?
"Youuu…" I growled. I swear he might or might not be playing me for a fool.
"My god you can't do anything wrong." Alice said with her eyes sparkling.
"Really last time I checked we were at fault for beating those seven second divisions half to death." Charles said with a frown on his face. As we started to draw close.
"Don't fill his head with troublesome ideas, he is already enough of a headache." I said to Alice she seemed to have her face flushed in anger. Her eyes were glowing.
"What do you mean troublesome?" Alice asked with a dangerous tone. Before we could continue we saw a group of people. Their faces were covered in shock.
"Charles your back." Gabriel said with a smile on his face. Neko on his shoulder.
"What a haul. Expected form big bro." Leo said pride clearly in his voice. He crossed his arms over his chest.
"Of course my lord is simply the best." Fulgur said bowing low. Ah yes the D1 simp how could I forget.
"I forgot to ask what made you name your framlair?" Charles asked as Gabriel nodded with a smile.
"It was between Neko, the Japanese word for cat, that I chose. Nekomatta a two tailed cat or Kasha a monster known for stealing corpses from funerals who also is a cat." Gabriel explained.
"Kasha…. Interesting." Charles said as if he was seriously taking note.
"Okay enough of the greeting, start cooking this up I want it for breakfast." Niuhi said, looking at the massive Chaos Beast. Many people carved into the Chaos Beast. They cut it into small pieces and put it on a wooden stick to roast it. It was kakbob. Made of all meat. He drank the blood of Chaos Beast. Out of the wooden bowl. Charles makes a face.
"It still tastes terrible. I can easily stomach Chaos Beast meat with the blood that tastes so disgusting." Charles complained.
"Yet it is better than dying of thirst. Oh and thank you for bringing back such a large meal." Gabriel said as he looked back the Chaos Beast was being cooked. There was plenty of meat to go around it after a few months of food. Charles looks up at the sky.
"What I don't understand is Jackal was a good kid. As I sense sadness." Charles said with a huge frown on his face.
"Don't worry when we beat the house of evolution we will ask." Gabriel said, patting Charles on the shoulder.
"Yeah I guess we will." Charles said as he took a chomp of the meat on the stick. Swallowing it quickly.
"Hey I think you would be an excellent leader and great parent." Gabriel said with a smile on his face.
"That makes one of us." Charles said, looking down on the ground.
"You would be a great leader." Gabriel said with that same smile on his face.
"I think you would be the best leader." Niuhi said sitting down, her tail curved and sitting on her lap. The fire light makes her gleaming white sharp like teeth glow.
"I think you are the best." Alice said she was sitting. With her legs crossed, her tail waving behind her. How long was she here?
"I think big bro would be a great leader. He has strength." Leo said as he sat down.
"It's still morning yet I am getting a headache." I said.
"Say something, Valtina?" Charles asked. Then shock covered the faces of all of them. The first to recover was Gabriel.
"You named your familiar after the queen of nightmares. A near invincible monster that commanded swarms of noble vampires, one of Hellsing strongest opponents." Gabriel said. His shock was still in his voice. My body filled with pride until I remembered how I got defeated. It was not even a close fight.
"Yeah I have no clue where the name came from." Charles said.
"It's crazy. To be named after a vampire who had slaughtered thousands upon millions of people leading to the extinction of Black Cat Demi-humans, Megadon Demi-humans as well destroying the whole Dwarven Kingdom to the south." Gabriel said looking into the fire that was right it was a three pronged attack. I ravaged the south. Sebastian was conquering the north and Nile was the east.
"Yeah a large number of them died. The Wyvern rider tribe has Dwarf blood allowing them to earn the respect of the Wyverns." Niuhi said with a smile on her face.
"Cool. I heard the royal family moved here until the bloodiest night. They were a special breed, a Giant Dwarf. They were much stronger and much more durable than a normal dwarf." Alice said with a huge smile. Yeah I remember how Sebastian complained how many the Wheatson and Godfrey family actually killed before going down.
"Yeah, same with the high elves from the east I heard one of the leaders burnt down the whole forest." Niuhi said. Charles has been stuffing his face. Like he was a bottomless pit of food it was odd.
"Big bro, have you heard any interesting rumours?" Leo asked, looking at Charles with a smile on his face.
"Nope." Charles said. "Now that breakfast is done, let's get to training."
