As they were all sleeping I see someone enter the cave and the person footsteps. "D- boss I wonder what you would do if you were me?" The voice belonged to Jackal. As he holds the small bell with the Boo face. What the hell was he doing?
"Jackal, what are you doing here?" I whisper and yell at him. Charles seems deep in sleep.
"To pay my last respects to the dead." Jackal said with a somber smile on his face he disappeared. Using a version of a phantom cloak.
"What the hell." I said looking confused. It was a silent cave minus the snoring from the males. That was so odd paying respect for the dead does he not know that he is on the losing side. That Charles will kill him.
As hours passed Charles started to stir. "And I am up." Charles said getting up and he started to stretch. Feeling something strange. It was outside.
"I am going out." I said flying out of the cave. As I feel that presence somewhere. But where is it? Where?
"I am here on behalf of Amarok." A familiar voice said. Looking behind it was the white Displacer Beast.
"Okay what do you want?" I asked, looking at him.
"What is Charles's favorite food?" The Displacer beast asked.
"It's meatloaf." I said something was thrown. I caught it. It was a book. The Necronomicon was now in my hands.
"This is his." Amarok said before he disappeared. The White displacer beast also disappeared. What the hell.
"Finally found some new clothes." Charles said. He was now in a shirt. I flapped down and put the Necronomicon in his hands.
"This scent." I said it smelled a sense it was heavily filled with the smell of rusting copper. It hit my tongue and it was blood. A booming roar came from the forest.
"Please save me." A deep bellowing voice said. Looking it was a massive bull coated in a pitch black Chaos Energy. It tries to lift itself up. But fell to the ground. It was a Chaos Beast, it was a Demon Prince but it was much too weak.
"What do I get if I heal you?" Charles asks with a cruel smile.
"I Demon Noble Duke will pledge myself to you." Duke said as Charles was smiling.
"Starlight: Greater Heal." Charles said as the wound vanished and it shrunk and what was left was a tall man with ox horns and hooves. He looks up and bows deeply.
"Thank you Demon King." Duke was still bowing deeply.
"What Nexus are you?" Charles asked. Looking at Duke.
"I have yet to reach 1st nexus sir." Duke said with a huge smile. Charles' face was filled with shock.
"So you have yet to mutate to the 1st nexus. What the hell are you?" Charles said, unable to keep the shock out of his voice.
"Well my Nexus was completely destroyed somehow. By a man wearing a wolf mask using that strange energy like you master." Duke said with a frown he had deep scars. It formed something that looked like a pentagram on his chest. It was Amarok's strength.
"Any other details you can remember." Charles said with a frown on his face.
"He said I was a threat to his brother so he basically left me on death's door then disappeared and he had that book." Duke said fear filling his voice.
"Interesting so there is a land mind we have to not trigger, we have to be more conservative about how we attack." Charles nodded noting down as a mental note.
"Yes my king I shall be your loyal servant. What Demon sect are you a part of?" Duke asked. Charles froze.
"What a demon sect?" Charles said he looked over his shoulder. His crystal blue eyes looked at Duke.
"They are ancient power houses that had used dark arts. They were always at each other's throats." Duke said with a smile. Demon sects were always at each other's throats. They each had a unique technique they taught. Serpent mouth, Black Salamander and Shadow Weaver all those Demon sects were absorbed by the House of Evolution.
"Interesting what an interesting thing I will find one of the Demon Sect and take it over." Charles said with a huge smile on his face. Really did he have to give him such a dangerous idea? Why? I need a stronger drink. That red whine mixed with blood sounds so good.
"Master, may I ask one thing?" Duke said he was bowing deep.
"Sure what is it?" Charles said his voice was cold. His eyes glow a faint yellow.
"When I regain my strength, I find a student." Duke asked and Charles shrugged.
"Sure why not." Charles said as he started to walk and Duke followed right behind Charles. As they reach back to the base camp.
"Hello I am back!" Charles said with a smile on his face. As I saw Gabriel wearing a smile on his face.
"How about a quick spare." Gabriel said with a smile on his face.
"Flash Step." Someone said Charles was holding him by the neck.
"Interesting. It's called Flash Step, what a strange move." Charles said as he threw the person to the ground.
"I have been teaching them that they still need to learn quite a bit." Gabriel explained with a smile on his face.
"If I knew that I would have acted shocked. Sorry it was a good attempt to bring me down." Charles said with a small bow.
"Thanks I thought you would lower your guard when you saw a friendly face." The person said with a small smile.
"What is your name?" Charles' question looked with a cruel smile on his face.
"Emma Adam, as you can see I use my bare hands like you." Emma said with a smile on his face.
"Emma is such a strange name for a male." Charles said with a hint of interest.
"I get that a lot." Emma said with a small smile.
