Charles was almost covered in armor like scales. His wings were coated in starlight. Chara arms were completely covered in the glowing cracks. As she shot Bala at Charles he was able to dodge. "Well I wonder what is going to happen next?" A voice said. As I looked to see Lux.
"Why is he here?" I asked myself. Slowly flapping down to him still watching the battle. Chara shot a few more Bala at Charles. As he jumped into the air, Charlotte appeared behind Charles slamming him down into the ground.
"Hello auntie Valentina." Lux said with a smile on his face watching the battle with me.
"Why are you here?" I asked him. He shrugged.
"Because I want to watch my little brother in combat." Lux said. His eyes glowed crimson.
"Yeah let me guess you created her." I said. One of his creations.
"Nope, one of Merl's creations." Lux spoke with a small smile.
"Like Merl, one of your head researchers." I said. As Chara launches another Twister at Charles. Blasting off one of Charles' legs. It quickly regrew.
"Well you should get back to the fight." Lux said. Once again I went back over the fight.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara said. As out of Jackal a Twister made of pure white.
"Starlight: Hydra Twister." Charles spoke. As four twisters launched out taking the form of snake heads. They smash into each other. They seemed to be equally powerful. Charles Twister seemed to grow bigger and started to push back Chara Twister. But then they went back to the middle. Charles was growing stronger. But then Charles Twister was pushed back. Charles then flew out of the way. As Chara Twister bulldozed through everything in its path. Charlotte once again appeared behind Charles. He was barely able to dodge. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Lux smiling.
"Damn you're getting quicker." Chara said. A crazed smile was on her face. I swear her tongue was sharper than before.
"Starlight: Sniper Shot." Charles said. As his pointer finger glowed with Starlight. As it condensed. Then after a few seconds a release. Where did the Starlight go? Then I looked at Chara dried blood covering her leg. But no wound was there.
"It's shocking how quickly I heal it almost instantly." Chara said with a small laugh. An insane giggle. That put me on edge.
"Supreme Starlight: Sniper Shot." As a white light glowed from the Jackal barrel. It grew brighter. In the following seconds it grew even brighter. But then the light vanished. Then I looked at Charles. He had a massive hole in his torso. I could see his organs spill into his ground. His small intestine and large intestine lay in a pile, even some on his feet. But part of his heart was shown it was pitch black with purple veins.
"Starlight: Revivify." Charles said as he was wrapped around in a cocoon of Starlight. As it slowly fades, Charles is completely unharmed.
"Soul Deut." Chara said.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara and Charlotte said. As the two pure white twisters turned into an infinite brighter white. That covered more than half the battlefield.
"Starlight: Fortress." Charles said as Charles Starlight spikes. The Starlight formed a pillar. Then it formed a dome of pure Starlight. It swirled around Charles. As it rushed through Charles as it then faded I saw a Charles coated in his own blood. Both of his arms were shredded. His wings were cut off. His legs were rung like beach towels. He seemed like he was dying. The only thing that was not covered in blood was his eyes. The Stella Deus. As the six point star started to turn back into a pupil, a dot. But then it expanded out, making Charles' eyes almost completely black. With a small glowing yellow ring but then it shrunk. Then it turned back to normal. Then a burst of a huge amount of Starlight.
"What the hell is happening?" Lux yelled. As the air seemed to be howling. Charles seemed to be a beacon of bright silver starlight.
"What in the world?" Chara questioned. She was covering her face with her arms.
"Don't count me out yet." Charles said. It sounds more like a monster than a man. Almost like a Dragon. As the massive pillar of starlight faded. Showing Charles completely covered in scales. They were sharp and spikey. Clad in Starlight. His Stella Deus glowed like a golden beacon on a glowing sliver being. His Angel-like wings unfurled. A huge gust of wind blasted me away. What strength.
"Surpeme Starlight: Twister." Chara yelled as the jackal blasted a pure white twister. Charles lifted his right arm. As it seemed to catch the twister. It grinded against Charles scales. He then threw it to his side. It smashed into the ground. Chara took a step back.
"Live on… Charles." A voice said in my head. The scales started to fall off of Charles. He was completely healed. Charles was wearing a smile.
"Looks like I am still alive." Charles said. He rolled his shoulder. His clothes were fully healed; he was in his Hypersuit. Strange.
"How are you alive?" Chara snarled. As the glowing cracks glow brighter. Spreading upwards on her lower neck.
"Because I want to live." Charles spoke. A toothy grin was on his face. As her eyes glowed like a snake. The yellow was clearly noticeable.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara said. Out of Ivory came a pure white Twister. Charles jumped out of the way. He had to block a claw swipe from Charlotte. Chara's face was the one that lost his sanity. The glowing cracks crawled up Chara's neck. They started to cover her throat.
"Starlight: Hydra Twister." Charles said. As five Twisters coiled over each other. Taking the form of a serpent head.
"Supreme Starlight: Heavy Twister." Chara said. Out of Jackal shot a truly massive Twister. That completely wiped out the Hydra Twister. That is not good. Fear overwhelmed my body.
"Starlight: Fortress." Charles said. As a burst of Starlight that formed a dome. As the attacks show, Charles is breathing heavily. Only lightly injured. The wounds started to close.
"Starlight reacts to one's wishes. It is like a will over the world. It evolves and grows with every challenge. Its potential is endless." A deep voice was that White Displacer Beast.
"Why are you here?" Charles questioned.
"Just checking in for the master." The White Displacer Beast then disappeared.
"What the fuck?" Charles question. I felt like I could see a chibi version of him with question marks above his head. He blinked a few times.
"Supreme Starlight: Heavy Twister." Chara yelled. Charles seemed to not notice.
"Charles watch out!" I screamed. As Charles' eyes opened like dinner plates. As it seemed to hit him full force. Seeing Charles' shattered body.
"Starlight: Revivify." Charles said. Getting in a cocoon in Starlight. Showing Charles fully healed again. That was a relief.
"You're a damn cockroach." Chara said. The glowing crack spread once again. Her tongue seemed to be sharper again. "But I love you so much." Chara then said a blush on her face. I see Charlotte is seeping deeper into her mind.
"And they think I am sick in the head." Charles said. Chara grit her teeth. Shooting several Bala at Charles he was able to dodge them. Charlotte grabs his leg. Allowing Bala to hit him in the leg.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles whispered the wound heals. As he broke Charlotte's hold. Charles charges at Chara. A smile was on his lips.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara launched a pure white Twister at Charles.
"Second Fang: Lurking Fang." Charles said as he appeared behind Chara. Slashing her back with his claws. Chara's eyes widened. Charles jumped back. What just happened?
"How?" Chara asked.
"The Ichor bath. Gives the power and experience of the Chaos Beast used in it. Lobo was a master of the nine fangs. I was going to use it later on Gabriel for a spare." Charles said. Giving a toothy grin.
"Supreme Starlight: Heavy Twister." Chara said. As form Ivory launched a huge massive twister.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said. As he managed to get out of the way.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said again. Getting in range striking at Chara. She was able to instantly heal. As the glowing cracks spread they almost cover her whole throat.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara said.
"Second Fang: Lurking Fang." Charles said immediately after appearing behind Chara. As she shot Ivory. Forcing Charles to jump back.
"Supreme Starlight: Double Heavy Twister." Chara said. As two massive pure white Twisters. Were launched at Charles.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said. As he used the chain dashes. Charles started breathing heavily. Blood trickled down his mouth. Blood ran down Charles' noise and his skin grew several times paler.
"Looks like you have burned out." Chara said with a glee in her eyes.
"I am still alive." Charles said. As Charlotte clawed his back leaving a gash on his back. That was flowing crimson blood.
"You will die, you used your Mythic Beast Transformation, you used your Nine fangs. You have no more trumpcards." Chara said, taking a step closer. Prowling slowly like a cat that is finally done toying with its food. But then she stopped.
"What's wrong?" Charles asked to get back up. The wound slowly closed.
"What is happening?" Chara asked weakly. The ring was glowing brightly like a star. The glowing marks started to expand. They started to glow brighter. They started to creep up her face. Her eyes were the eyes of a snake. Her tongue seemed to be spilt.
"What did you want?" Charles asked. He looked at him confused.
"I want strength." Chara said.
"Strength to do what? For the sake of power? Revenge." Charles spoke.
"To rejoin my sister." Chara said. As she started to glow brighter. Now Chara started to glow like a star. Her eyes were a beacon of yellow. Wait, this is like what happened with Doki.
"Hey Charles, get the ring off of her now!" I yelled down. He looked up confused. But it was too late as a flash of white light. What was there was no longer human. Is a snake headed person with a human torso. Her lower part of her body is that of a snake. With four arms. Glowing completely white. Clad in a huge amount of Starlight. In two of her arms was Jackal and Ivory. The other two were holding swords made of pure Starlight.
"What?" Charles said.
"She turned into a Vengeful Spirit using the Starlight." I said under my breath. As Chara slashed Charles' chest. Blood rushed out of the wound. Spilling onto the floor. Charles jumps back.
"Starlight: Heal." Charles whispered. Charles' wound healed. Starting with the muscle then followed by the skin.
"Starlight: Claws." Charles spoke calmly. As his fingernails glowed with Starlight. They grew to about three times their length. Charles' claws clashed with the sword of pure Starlight. They seemed equally in terms of strength. But then Charles was stabbed in his shoulder. Charles snarls as he cuts off that arm. As it seemed to instantly heal for Chara. But for Charles it took a few moments.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara said as she pointed Jackal at Charles. As a Twister was shot out it was so much bigger and stronger than before.
"Second Fang: Lurking Fang." Charles said as he appeared behind Chara. Slashing at the back of her neck. She blocked with one of the swords made of Starlight. Then she swiftly turned around. Blasting Charles in the stomach with a Bala. Then her snake tail smacked him back.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara said. As out of Ivory launched a truly massive Twister that seemed to be rushing at Charles like a ravenous beast.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said as he managed to get out of the way of the Twister path.
"You're merely getting lucky." Chara said. Charles was panting.
"Maybe." Charles said. With a tired smile on his face. Chara seemed to appear in front of him. He deflected the sword of starlight. He was able to cut deep in her throat. But he lost that hand. Chara fired three Bala at Charles. He barely managed to dodge.
"Starlight: Hyper Heal." Charles spoke. The wound repaired itself instantly.
"Supreme Starlight: Twister." Chara said, pointing to Ivory. Launching a pure white Twister at Charles.
"First Fang: Lunging Fang." Charles said. Being able to teleport away in time.
"Supreme Starlight: Death Storm." Chara said the wind started to howl. Lighting started to roar. The wind was cutting deep into Charles' flesh. Charles had to plant his feet into the ground to not to go flying. I was being tossed around like I was in a washing machine. Lightning came down and struck Charles. A wind slash cut off one of Charles' arms. Charles crouched grabbing onto the earth. With his one arm. But then his hand was cut off. It went flying into the air. Shredded in seconds. Turned into a fine red mist. As once again lightning struck near him. Then he was torn from the ground and was now in the air. Pelted with wind slashes. Aswell lightning. But then it suddenly stopped and Charles was falling. Plummeting like a rock. As his wing tore through whatever was left of the top half of his Hypersuit as he at least landed with some grace.
"Starlight: Revivify." Charles said. As he was surrounded by Starlight like a cocoon. As it burst open showing that he was fully healed and his Hypersuit was once again completely intact.
"Why do you live on?" Chara asked.
"Because Arthur and William rely on me. I would never abandon them." Charles said. Aw that's so cute. Seeing Charles' dragon horn start to grow out of his head. It seemed that Chara started to break apart. Once again they clashed. Charles had countless wounds on his body. Now it seemed as if one of Chara arms had vanished. It seemed as if there was a ring.
"I should thank you so I can finally rejoin her." Chara said with a small smile as Charles walked closer. He grabbed the ring out of the air. A small smile on his lip as he slipped it into his pocket. He picked up his black gun Jackal and his white gun Ivory.
"The second phase of the exam is over!" A loud speaker screamed over the quiet battlefield. As I land on Charles' shoulder. I felt happy that this was over at long last. I am pretty sure Lux sent some Vampires to cull the other contestants. It was rigged form the start. But why he knew that Sebastian and the other would be watching right? So why?
