As I entered the hospital it seemed empty. As I see a nurse's scrub on the floor. I see an arrow engraved on the wall. That is not creepy at all. "I guess we follow it?" Charles said.
"Really are you that dumb? Next time you see a van with free candy will you enter?" I told him about his stupid plan.
"No. I was told to enter the van and kill them and so I can bring the candy back to Marinette." Charles said with a serious tone.
"Marinette told you to do that?" I asked. Already knowing the answer.
"Yes." Charles told me.
"Of course." I said with my eyes rolled. We looked around the area and we saw nothing. Something felt very wrong. It made my skin crawl.
"What was that?" Charles asked. His eyes flicked to me. He was so clueless.
"Maybe we should leave and come back later." I said. As we turned back to the entrance way. Charles' hand touched the handle. I saw him let go.
"A barrier." Charles said. His hand was burned. As we heard a dripping sound form behind us. Turning to look, it looked like blood. Forming a puddle seeing Charles reflection in it. It formed letters.
'Come on. I am waiting. Your friend is near me. -Claymen.'
What a weird message. Charles started to follow the arrow. As we heard a clicking sound. Then a rattling sound. One of the doors opened. Seeing a few Skeleton knights wandered out. "Devils. A low ranking one called Skeleton knights." I told him as I flew above the hallway. Charles pulled out the dual guns. Jackal and Ivory. They glowed with Starlight. As Charles smiled. All of them were dead. Fragments of Starlight entered Charles. As we pasted a mirror.
"What an odd place for a mirror." Charles said. It was surrounded by gold. It was quite finely crafted, too fine for a normal hospital. Charles started to walk away. The hallway stretched for an eternity. Pasting another mirror that looked like the first. Skeleton Knights came out of two more doors, at least ten of them. Charles made quick work of them. It was so easy for him. Landing back on his shoulder.
"It looks like the first one." I said.
"Well maybe this place is richer than I thought." Charles said. As he saw his reflection and mine. He continued to walk forward. How long was this hallway? We pasted the mirror. We continue to walk. As the door swung open. Skeleton Knights launched at us. I went up into the air. Seeing that the Skeleton Knights were slaughtered. I landed back on his shoulder.
"How big was this hallway?" I asked.
"Apparently really big." Charles said. As we passed another one of those mirrors. Then we pushed forward again. Once again one of those mirrors.
"Do these walls all look alike?" I asked him.
"Yeah but all the hospitals look alike." Charles continued to walk forward. Once again we passed another one of those mirrors. We walked forward. Charles suddenly punched a wall. His body seemed to be shocked with electricity. I let out a yelp of pain.
"What was that for?" I questioned.
"I have a feeling that something is wrong." Charles said his voice was low.
"Okay." I said. As we started to walk forward. Seeing another one of those mirrors. Then we started to walk as I saw Charles. Following his eyes we saw the mark he made on the wall.
"Something was very wrong." Charles said. Walking past the mirror winding back at the entrance.
"Yeah it should be a much longer walk than this to the entrance." I said.
"Unless. There is something that has the power of space. That keeps teleporting me back." Charles said.
"Then where is it?" I asked before freezing.
"What is it?" Charles asked.
"Maybe the mirror." I said. As he smiled. Charles entered the hallway. He sees the mirror. We were approaching it slowly. Charles then sees me and him in the mirror. As he punches the mirror. Our visage morphed and shifted into a monster.
"Hello, it looks like you figured it out." The Devil in the mirror taunted. The mirror seemed to morph. As the mirror seemed to wrap around Charles' arm. Charles' right hand glowed with Starlight. He cut off his own arm. Blood poured from the stump of his arm. The Devil in the mirror laughed.
"I will kill you." Charles said. As bone slowly stretched from the wound. Then like a tangling vine's muscle slowly covered the bone. The pale white skin came last. Then the finger nails.
"Starlight: Punch." Charles said as his fist glowed with Starlight. It started to condense. Glowing even brighter the Devil in the mirror seemed worried. Charles' fist connected to the mirror. The mirror started to crack. Starlight started to fill those cracks spreading them. As the mirror shattered. It faded into nothing.
"Good riddance." Charles said. A scowl on his fist. Hearing a clapping sound. Seeing that red and blue jester with the purple mask.
"Great job Deadman." The Jester clapped.
"Why do you keep calling me Deadman?" Charles asked. The Jester head tilt confused.
"That's your codename? Maybe you would prefer I call you Vice-president?" The jester asked. Vice-president the plot thickens.
"Here, how about you give me your name?" Charles asked.
"I am Pryo, your majesty." Pyro got down one on one knee bowing to Charles.
"This is going to be a whole thing." Charles let out a sigh. Pyro tilted his head.
"What's going to be a whole thing?" Pyro asked.
"Just take me to Clayman." Charles said as Pryo nodded like someone who is about to get candy. He led the way. Spinning, twirling around with too much excitement. Then he stops at the door. Slowly he opens the door with a dramatic flare as we walk in to see Shadow with tubes and an oxygen mask on him. He was covered in wires. Shadow was sickly pale. A man was sitting there with his legs crossed.
"Looks like you finally showed up Deadman." The man in the white suit. A mask lay on his face with no face, just two eye holes and a sun shape on his forehead. Under the mask were two blue dragon-like eyes.
"Okay then let cut to the chase. What do you want?" Charles asked harshly.
"I Clayman want you. Deadman." Clayman said. Putting his hand on Charles shoulder.
"Now how did you make this?" Charles asked. Then he paused.
"Did you kill everyone in the hospital?" Charles' questions rang through the air. Clayman started to laugh. Then he slowly settled down.
"No, I layered a temporary Chaos Domain over reality creating a subplane. Like your Whirlwind or the ability of all Dragons. But mine is closer to a Vengeful Spirit Domain." Claymen explained. Charles nodded. Drake inherited the Chaos output of Dragons. Wyvern inherited the Chaos energy level of Dragons and Wyrm inherited the body of the Dragons.
"Well that's all. If you heal Shadow I will offer myself to you." Charles said. Now he was making an unreasonable demand so he could refuse Clayman.
"Deal." Clayman said.
"Demon Light: Healer Grace." Clayman said. As white flames engulfed Shadow. Making a cocoon around him. Then seconds later the cocoon started to shrink. It showed Shadow at full health.
"Thank you." Charles said through gritted teeth.
"Beat Milla Calamitas for me." Clayman said. Charles smiled like a feral beast.
"Deal." Charles said.
