Chapter 109 - Plans and Pleasantries

Previously, Mr. 3 had been on a vacation island not far from Little Garden, leisurely sipping his favorite Darjeeling tea.

As a senior agent of Baroque Works, Mr. 3 could take vacations whenever he wasn't on a mission—a privilege reserved for senior agents. Thus, he had been enjoying his vacation for several days.

If not for inadvertently learning during a conversation with Miss Goldenweek that headquarters had assigned him a new mission days ago, Mr. 3 would definitely still be on that vacation island, sipping black tea, not on this green island of Little Garden.

"Why don't we hurry up and finish the mission?"

Miss Goldenweek, wearing a small red hat, asked Mr. 3 confusedly. She was young but undoubtedly a clever child.

"I know you hate working and want to finish quickly to go back to resting. But this mission is very important. We must execute it properly."

As Mr. 3 advanced through the forest, he kept stopping to check their surroundings for any beasts or people following them.

Miss Goldenweek listened, lowering her head without replying. Indeed, as Mr. 3 said, she wasn't very invested during missions. After all, she was just a little girl. Perhaps due to her childish nature, she felt that completing tasks to raise her status in the organization wasn't as good as going back to make tea and eat rice crackers.

"I heard Mr. 5 was defeated by that group. But there's nothing surprising about that. He was just an overconfident ability-idiot who relied too much on his position."

Mr. 3's tone was quite disdainful when mentioning his colleague, Mr. 5.

"Actually, you probably wish it was Mr. 2 who was defeated, so your rank could rise."

Miss Goldenweek looked up at Mr. 3 beside her and said.

"Indeed. My abilities are no worse than Mr. 2's!"

Remembering Mr. 2's appearance—clearly a cross-dresser—yet holding a higher position in the organization filled Mr. 3 with resentment. He continued, "A true excellent criminal uses an excellent mind to achieve their goals!"

"Take Mr. 5. He got a powerful Devil Fruit ability, but if the user can't use it properly, it's as worthless as trash."

"We are different from brainless guys like Mr. 5. Next, we'll show those fools who oppose Baroque Works how stupid they are. We'll make them regret opposing a criminal organization."

Mr. 3 grew more imposing as he spoke, his words implying he already controlled the situation. A scheming gleam flashed in his half-lidded eyes. "First, we land on this island without them noticing, then formulate a corresponding battle plan to pick them off one by one."

"A small, no-name pirate crew like theirs couldn't possibly anticipate my plan in advance. They absolutely lack my brilliant mind!"

As Mr. 3 moved through the forest, he deliberately chose paths with dense jungle to conceal their tracks. Confidently finishing his speech, he then heard someone shout loudly that they'd been discovered and to prepare to die. His jaw nearly dropped.

"We seem to have been discovered already."

Miss Goldenweek said innocently to the still-stunned Mr. 3. "I think what you just said was really funny."

"That's not funny at all!"

Mr. 3 shouted at Miss Goldenweek, who hadn't grasped the seriousness. He was extremely anxious. His plan hadn't even been implemented, yet he was already exposed. It was a joke.

Meanwhile, when Vivi asked why he didn't take the chance to ambush them from behind, Tom, standing on the Quetzalcoatlus's back, fell into silence.

Vivi thought Tom had finally recognized his error and was about to say something when Tom spoke first.

"Are you an idiot?"

"Why would you call me an idiot?!"

Vivi genuinely couldn't understand what Tom was thinking.

"Didn't you see there's a little girl who looks no more than ten years old down there? Even if she's an enemy, I would absolutely never ambush a child from behind!"

Tom looked at Vivi, rudely picking his nose. "You're just too low-level."

Hearing this, Vivi was completely stunned, nearly petrified, her neck tilting to one side in shock. Her purely beautiful face wore a deeply stricken expression. She was utterly speechless.

"The voice just now came from above. But where exactly is he hiding?"

Based on the sound's direction, Mr. 3 determined the enemy was above. But with many Pterosaurs flying around, he momentarily couldn't pinpoint Tom and Vivi's location.

"Why not just ask?"

Miss Goldenweek said to Mr. 3, who was craning his neck to look around.

"You're naive. How could the enemy possibly voluntarily tell you his location?"

Mr. 3 immediately rejected Miss Goldenweek's suggestion. But as soon as he finished, Miss Goldenweek tilted her head back and used her childish voice to shout loudly at the sky, "So where are you guys anyway?"

"Hey! We're right here! We'll be over to punch you soon!"

Standing on the Quetzalcoatlus's back, Tom held the reins with one hand, leaned his head out, and waved at Miss Goldenweek on the ground, so she could see his position.

"Look, he's right there."

Miss Goldenweek happily pointed at Tom riding the giant Pterosaur in the sky, telling the dumbfounded Mr. 3 beside her. Afterward, she even shouted toward Tom, "We'll wait right here for you. Hurry up and come over!"

"Alright!"

As Tom responded, he urged the Quetzalcoatlus to speed up and approach Mr. 3's location.

"Don't you think what you both just said was really strange?"

Vivi, hearing the conversation between Tom and Miss Goldenweek, looked at Tom with a dark cloud over her head. Not only had this guy revealed his location, he'd flat-out said he was coming over to beat them up, and yet Miss Goldenweek told him to hurry over. The dialogue was just a complete mess.

"What's strange about it? We're both just telling the truth."

Tom turned to Vivi and said, leaving her speechless.

"To think it would be someone like this who saw through my plan in advance..."

Mr. 3 said with a darkened expression, watching the figure on the giant Pterosaur flying closer. A sinister smile appeared on his lips. "But if Princess Vivi is here too, that's even better. I'll take care of both of you at once."

Unfortunately, the distance was too great for Mr. 3 to see Tom's expression clearly. He didn't know this guy was also grinning widely, muttering quietly, "Haven't run into enemies in a while. If I get a chance later, maybe I can try out my new move."

"Let's go, little dragon! Let them witness the power of a dragon rider!"

Tom pulled hard on the reins, making the Quetzalcoatlus dive toward Mr. 3 below at even greater speed. The sudden acceleration nearly threw off Vivi, who was standing on its back...
